"Upon the head of this universe is the sandal of Muhammad
Elevated and so all creation is under its shadow
For at at-Tur, Moses was ordered to remove his sandals
While Muhammad at the Throne of God was not asked to remove his"
ونعلٌ تدوس العرش روحى فداؤهــــا
إذا وضعت فوق الرؤوس لنا نعلوا

"and a sandal that steps upon the Throne; I'd give my soul for
If it is put atop the heads, then we shall ascend
a cure from every ailment and, in fact,
its Reality is a Crown, even if its form be a sandal."
Poetry by Sh. Yusuf An-Nabhani (RA), a Palestinian, Ottoman-era scholar and lover of the Prophet (SAAW).

"Remember Me and I will remember you..." (Surat al-Baqara, verse 152)
It is said that the verse in the Quran where Allah says,
ولذكر الله أكبر
meaning, "And verily the Remembrance of Allah is more great" - it is referring to this, "I will remember you"; in other words, My Remembrance of you is far greater than your Remembrance of Me.
This remembrance of Allah is also mentioned in the Hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah said, "...and if he (the servant) mentions Me to himself, I will mention Him to Myself; and if he mentions me to a group, I will mention him to a group that is much greater...."

It is related from a student of Shaykh Badr-ud-Deen al-Hasani (RA) “He would often ask us upon completion of his prayers, ‘Do you hear the reply of the Messenger of God (PBUH) during the tashahhud (recited during the sitting of the ritual prayer) when you say, al-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuha al-nabiyyu wa raḥmatullah wa barakātuhu?’ I used to ask, ‘And is there anybody who hears such a thing?’ He would respond, ‘There are people for whom if they lost their presence of heart with the Messenger of God (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him) for one moment, they would perish.’

"...and so make us steadfast, and subject to us this sea,
the same way you subjected the sea to Moses
and subjected the fire to Abraham
and subjected the mountains and the iron to David
and subjected the wind, and the satans, and the jinn to Soloman,
and subject to us every sea that is Yours in the Heavens and the Earth,
and the Kingdom and the Unseen Kingdom,
and the sea of this world and the sea of the next world..."

"In Jerusalem, the epitome of beauty is octagonal and blue
atop which is a golden dome looking like - in my opinion - a curved mirror
In which you see the face of the sky summarized upon it,
flirting with it, and drawing it closer,
Distributing it like relief rations to the deserving victims living under siege
When a people, after a Friday sermon, out-spread their hands ..."

See your name is Ambiguity, and my name is something hands can't hold/
But hearts part ocean scapes just to watch the starlet unfold/
It's like sketching a circle in the dirt with a pointed stick/

My name is not Ayyub
The naming for this blog has two sources:
1) Patience, namely being the "school" of the Prophet Sayyidna Ayyub - upon him and our Prophet - be many blessings and peace. Who had an illness and was tested through it by Allah - this is the school of Ayyub.
2) The Ayyubi Dynasty: made famous by Saladin al-Ayyubi who recaptured Jerusalem from the Crusaders. The Ayyubi dynasty helped preserve Sunni doctrine from the Fatimids, the Crusaders, as well as other sects and enemies. They promoted Shafi'i Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Ash'ari Aqida (Theology), and Tasawwuf (Sufism) for spiritual progression. This also mirrors my belief system which I strive to learn and apply.
Keep me in your duaa'.
