Keep ‘Em Guessin: VanessAmanda fic

Really short story but meh. I like it

January, 2005

Vanessa trudged into her small, cheap apartment, exhaustion etched across her features after a long night at the metropolitan police department. The workload from today was exhausting yet worthwhile, a look of relief crossing her features as she took her coat off. As she closed the door behind her, the soft glow of the living room revealed Amanda, lounging on the couch with an enigmatic smirk playing on her lips. Her choppy, short hair was unkempt, adding to her appearance

"Do they know about me yet?" Amanda asked, her voice holding a playful edge. The question wasn't about their relationship but rather Amanda's life as an apprentice to John Kramer, the true identity of the ‘Jigsaw’ killer.

Vanessa met Amanda's gaze, her work to protect her girlfriend’s identity was deeming successful. "Not at all. Hell, they don’t know about John being jigsaw either." Vanessa replied, her position as an officer and a I’mintelligent woman was a shield that kept Amanda's apprenticeship hidden from the law.

Amanda's smirk deepened, a silent acknowledgment of Vanessa's strategic brilliance. "Your diversion tactics are impressive. Considering you used similar tactics five years ago in 2000 when he tried to cover up things at Freddy’s because that Mike motherfucker was getting suspicious” Amanda spoke in praise, rising to her feet and approaching Vanessa. The dim light highlighted the shadows on their faces, Amanda standing on her toes to kiss Vanessa.

"They're engrossed in the fucking murder scene. They have zero idea you were involved in said scene. I've led them away from ever finding you out.” Vanessa confessed, a sense of satisfaction underlying her words. Her role as a police officer had become a delicate balancing act, protecting Amanda's secret while unraveling the mysteries that surrounded them.

Amanda cuddled Vanessa right where they stood, proud of their teamwork "Good, Ness." she murmured, fingertips tracing a subtle pattern on Vanessa's arm. "In the shadows, your status as an officer becomes my greatest ally."

Vanessa kissed the scars on Amanda’s mouth, Vanessa’s empathetic hazel eyes staring into dark green eyes that almost looked brown

Vanessa would do anything to protect her girlfriend’s identity

the movie version of Vanessa being a rabbit is a reference to William Afton and Vanny

Yes, I do actually ship them because it’s just fun to be creative. If this were to actually happen, I feel like Vanessa would be on the jigsaw case and she’s the reason why Amanda didn’t get caught until late. she would be trying to act like she doesn’t know that John doesn’t have an apprentice

Because she’s dating said apprentice

Besides the five nights at Freddy’s movie takes place in 2000 and Amanda started her life as an apprentice in most likely 2003 or early 2004

The timelines match up pretty well

I could definitely imagine Vanessa moving to “the fair weather” state (The nickname of the state where Saw takes place in, which is no actual nickname for any state in the real world ) to get away from Freddy’s for good , only to be assigned to another case that is much more dangerous

This is honestly just to bring some light to Tumblr and I just really wanted to be creative because it’s the same ships over and over again (i ship half of them lol) so I wanted to be a loose cannon and mix things up

Anyway, I hope you guys like this

Ps: they need a ship name . Was thinking VanessAmanda but that doesn’t fit with saw ship names

Thank you! Personally, the down bad part refers to Amanda but I do love metal. I started getting in the ice nine kills as recently as of a few months ago. but there’s a specific band that I can’t get out of my head well, it’s just one guy but he’s still awesome. His name is Will Ryan of da games. he mainly creates music based on video games, But his side project, which is Iris/Iris official, has stolen my heart.

Thank you for being nice about this. I appreciate the kindness genuinely. This made me less anxious about shipping them

Had to delete my last post because people are assuming I hate Gabrimanda. I personally did ship them a lot. I only posted it to make sure I was not shipping Amanda with a 16 year old girl. that’s what the post was for. To Help me figure out if her actress said that or not.

I just didn’t wanna take any chances of Gabi being a minor being the case.

I made it clear in the original post that I was unsure, and that I was just being cautious. And I wanted to help the fandom too By letting them know what I was told.

I literally said that I heard from a friend and I just wanted to remain cautious and did not know what was the truth or not. I absolutely adored them and shotgunshipping (I ship them both!)

I just personally did not want to end up doing something gross by shipping it IF Gabriela was a minor (Which I’m sure isn’t the case but I’m a very anxious person.)

I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t shipping anything absolutely immoral and disgusting.

The original post was meant to put my fears to rest in hopes, the fandom could try to find that interview so I could go back to shipping them if they were not problematic

if anybody can kindly let me know if the interview exists or not, please do so so I can go write my fanfiction without worrying if I’m doing something problematic without knowing it
