idk exactly what u mean by asrifowey thoughts so, sorry if this doesnt fit, but i like to imagine that if asriel never turned back into flowey post pacifist, hed try rlly hard to suppress all negative emotions because he wants to distance himself from flowey but eventually he learns thats unhealthy and its fine to be a jerk occasionally. and while hes suppressing neg feelings theyd sometimes burst out and he would say/do rlly mean things and then be rlly mad at himself

Okay. i think that when flowey was first reincarnated he was already PISSED that he was a flower but hestill put on the asriel attitude. he seems to do his asriel face automatically when he feels vulnerable (though he can control it if he wants to be more serious or intimidating, refer to the no mercy new home chat with him... when he gets more angry than scared he returns to his flowey face) and of COURSE hed be really vulnerable after being reincarnated as a stupid flower. i think that in his first couple resets he ONLY used his asriel act, and shaped himself to be more in line with his weird, distorted memories of chara during these resets..,

After EXPECTING to return to this less vulnerable non-asriel state, and just, NOT becoming a flower again...

flowey sees himself as someone completely separate from asriel (reasonably. He changed a Lot, and he doesnt want to be known as the dead 11 year old prince anymore) and to internally be a soulless asshole flower, and externally That Precious Baby Prince, hed get Whiplash. he knows everyones expectations of Asriel are different from their expectations of Flowey.

and Yeah. myabe he tried being asriel-like for a little while, but in a weird, uncanny, caricature-y way. and after letting himself BE flowey no matter his dumb goat body. hes finally content. and a bit of an asshole. ^_^
