Eli is Canadian?!?

There is no canonical evidence, BUT Slugterra IS a Canadian show, AND Eli's va, Sam Vincent, is Canadian.

The script has Canadian lingo in there, easiest example of this is Eli calling his slugs "bud". Oh! In ROTE, one of Will's security questions mentions a cabin they used to go to, Canadians are notorious for going to their cabins for vacation!

(Do you know how many of my classmates went to cabins? I was so jealous lol I want to go to a cabin)

Sooo it's 99% likely he is Canadian. Aaaand I'm Canadian and I'm biased soooo, Eli's Canadian for me lol (there's rarely any Canadian mc imo lemme have this 😭)

I like to think he's from the GTA area, from Hispanic heritage.

It's why I included hockey and lacrosse in my poll yesterday, Eli is Canadian, and no one can tell me otherwise 😤😤😤

Oops haven’t been on tumblr in a while so I wasn’t able to react to this three way tie!!! I’m not shocked that Eli x Trixie were in the top but I am surprised that they didn’t win I really thought they would. And every time I looked I swear Eli x Junjie were always at the bottom but then they rose through the ranks to tie. Not surprised that it did though it’s a pretty popular ship and it was even back in the day before they lore bombed us with Junjie being under control of the goon for 20 years. Like who made the decision for it to be so long 😂

But the ship that really shocked me was that it tied with Will x Dr. Blakk which I don’t think was a popular ship when the show was around but I’ve recently seen some great fanart of it on tumblr. So I’m surprised but also not.

I noticed something interesting in the 'ace in a hole' scene with Charile's reaction to Rosie at first

So, at first, Rosie comes over and asks Alastor to introduce Charlie, saying that she's too young for him, implying they're in a heterosexual relationship. When I watched back I realized not only did Charlie look annoyed but actually even rolled her eyes. Now, she could be annoyed that Rosie thinks she's young since I think she's 200+ years old, but I think she's doing it because she's had to deal with homophobes in hell before and she probably thought Rosie was since she's a women from the 1800s.

But then, in the very next sentence, she calls Alastor an "ace in the hole," and Charlie doesn't look angry anymore but surprised. I assume that Charlie knows what ace means since she's bi and is definitely more up-to-date on those terms than Alastor. I just think it's a neat little detail especially since Charlie opens up to Rosie in the end.
