Another character i have never liked is Philippus. She was always bland and Perez did a horrible job trying to fluff out the Amazons and the cast of them, but she has become some idea of being Diana's 2nd mother and sometimes a love interest of Hippolyta. It is a sorely unwelcome change that does rewrite Hippolyta as being interested in women and shoe horns an unnecessary element into Diana's upbringing for the sake of representation. There were other areas where adding these sorts of rep would have been better served.
The biggest disappointment is that Phillipus has no real character appropriate for an Amazon. She is quiet, loyal, subservient, and overall lacking any charisma. Which is all of what you expect from someone in service to their Queen. Which only makes the relationship even more uncomfortable and leads to Phillipus inclusion into Diana's upbringing all the more unnecessary.
There is very little there and she seems to exist solely for representation sake and she doesn't even fit in the Amazons like every other Post Crisis addition to the Amazons. She is too stoic, way too martial, and the structure of the Amazons were way too militant.
The only bright side to her was the fact that she added more diversity but for the sake of everything else that comes with the franchise.

and the truth is... starfire would definitely be star sapphire material and my other truth is.. wonder woman is more of an indigo lantern than a sapphire one. yes, diana is a lovely person but i feel she exhibits more compassion than love. kory has the potential to be both but love just fits her more for some reason. or i just want to see her in pink again.

if i could write terra i would definitely give her an arc where she goes to themyscira and interacts with wonder woman and the amazons. i feel diana would try to enlighten her with more pure ideologies but terra really isn't into that "sunshine and rainbows" outlook on life. of course i would make it more complex but that's just the surface. terra would then encounter hippolyta and they would get the closest you could get to bonding. hippolyta would bring up the earth goddess gaia and that would inspire to terra to take up the name. i think it would be good for a plethora of reasons as to why that would be a great codename. it would distance her from her old identity and it's pretty badass. i also feel like it would be perfect because gaia as a goddess is complex. she's literally the earth arguably mother nature. she's unpredictable but she's mother regardless so there's still this bit of love and kindness that she has. she does what's best.

Yara Flor is amazing. She's flawless. She's so fucking bad at being " the chosen one". She's a horse girl. She named her pet pegasus Jerry. She tried to kill a man at like, 6. She info dumbs to strangers. She's ready to fight 24/7. She got her powers from a girl boss fish lady. Hera wanted to train her with the best of the best and she was like " I don't vibe with you actually" then refused immortality. She feels unwanted by the world. She took a bus driver with her to Tartarus and left him there??? Her greatest strength is annoying people. Eros, her crazy ex, was literally dying under a rock and she clowned on him. Diana knighted her personally and passed the mantle of wonder woman to her and she was like " thanks Ig but get better at monikers". She wanted to fist fight Hades. she's my annoying girl representation and I love her dearly
