Rain

Giving: Quality time, physical contact and gift-giving. She likes spending time with her loved ones, she would gladly make an opening in her schedule to meet them if they want too, just being around each other it's enough for her. She likes giving fresh vegetables and fruits or artisan goods from her farm. And she's quite touchy, like casually putting an arm around a friend shoulders, touching their shoulders, sitting close, etc, not too touchy with friends, if it's with a significant other she'll be over them a lot.

As for receiving, she likes words of affirmation, physical touch, and quality time. She just wants people to want to spend time with her too. If the other person doesn't really like physical contact she doesn't mind, but she's obviously happy if it's mutual. And words of affirmation, idk I just think she would love to receive them.

Sol

She has a bunny which she slept with as a kid, it was a gift from her parents, once she got older she decided to put it in a small shelf over her bed. The bunny is still at her room in her parents house.

She wears skirts and blouses, pretty light clothes, some heavy handmade sweaters when it's cold, so her movements aren't limited by her clothes. Her movements are pretty coordinated and soft. But she isn't that flexible.

She wears some light makeup most days, loves mascara. She wears it because it makes her feel pretty, it's a part of her routine, she takes a lot of care into her appearance, from her outfit to her makeup, she enjoys doing it, it's part of her day to say routine, drink some tea while she puts on her makeup before opening up her shop.

if u don't know her yet here's my stardew valley expanded based farmer oc her name is wren <3 she's a half witch who isn't very good at magic, but is more capable than people tend to think.

the only person who consistently believes in her and has never doubted her is her father, alejandro, who is an experienced adventurer based in pelican town. he is well known in various guilds (specifically the castle village guild) for not only his physical strength and mastery of the sword, but his optimism and abilities as a natural born leader. since he's a member of the guild in pelican town, he'd often bring wren to town since she was a little girl all the way to the present day.

on the other side, wren's mother, dolores, is much more critical of her and has had high expectations of her since childhood. she expects wren to practice her magic by the book and strive for perfection. protective and often overbearing, dolores wants wren to remain in their small town without consideration for her daughter's desires. the two of them bond over their love of fashion and dolores often spends a lot of time making clothing and accessories for wren to wear by hand.

as much as i want to make this an infodump about her Lore, i don't wanna give away too much bc i wanna do vague art about it first !!! she has 2 very good reasons for running away to the farm and is quickly overwhelmed as she tries to adjust to her new life and make money. she isn't gonna quit though because she doesn't wanna have to do the Walk Of Shame back home and admit to anyone that she couldn't do it. thankfully some of the townspeople (marnie, marlon, pierre, gus, linus) are familiar with her and help her out in her first few weeks.

i don't have a clue what isaac's backstory will be like but the idea that he and wren are childhood enemies is drilled into my brain LMAO. they haven't set aside that childhood beef because when they reunite as adults they're still snarky and hostile towards each other. isaac thinks she's a spoiled nepo baby who has only gotten accepted into the pelican town guild + is being considered for castle village entry because her dad is so cherished in the scene and he thinks they can't outright say no to her. he also believes that she's not cut out for Adventurer Life™️ and that she should just stick to farming and failing at magic or whatever it is she does. wren can also be very reckless (she gets it from alejandro) which isaac believes can possibly put not only herself but other people in danger (Valid Point). wren is stubborn though and is sick of people doubting her. isaac has never been particularly nice to her in the first place so why should she listen to him fr !!! however things happen and they eventually smooch so ?!?!?? enemies to lovers.

Fawn doesn't really fly into rages very often. She's more likely to have a panic attack when she's getting swarmed. Unless something else has really peeved her off, she'll just run. She has gotten into arguments with the likes of rude tourists however.

Adeline hates the mines. Too freaky. But like Fawn, she hates rude people, and will actually get into full-blown verbal fights with someone for being a jerk. She worked in customer service ever since she got a job; rude people are the worst for her.

Sydney loves the mines. Doesn't really go berserk with anger though, more pent-up energy. She will still go there to get rid of any "bad" feelings she has, though.

Mel's the most likely to fly into a rage. She's definitely gotten mad and gone off to find Syd, only to find her nearly passed out. She was so mad at her sister afterwards, too. But she's just worried. She also got into arguments with Shane and Sebastian during the start of her stay.

While thinking about Julian's lore and how he behaves in combat, I became curious about one question.

Probably her fashion sense contrasting with her overall build. Mel's pretty strong, but she prefers dainty clothing and long modest dresses and blouses. It's not that it's bad for her to be like that (not at all!), it just contrasts with what people usually see. But her hair is also something people will notice, with it being dyed a sort of ocean green-blue (I forgot the name LOL).

informal: What's your OC's lazy-day look? How do they like to dress when they're winding down?

She still likes to keep her sense of fashion, but she'll ditch the good skirts in favour of the more worn ones. If she's really not feeling it that day and nobody's coming to visit, she'll just wear her blouse and pants (she wears those old-fashioned pants underneath her skirt (I forgot the word again)). Sometimes she just takes off the skirt at home because she's got pants on underneath.

hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?

You'd think with her sense of fashion Mel would be some hair wizard, but she's not. That title goes to Adeline (and Fawn). She can braid, though it's not the neatest. So, she usually just takes good care of her hair's health and leaves it down or in a high bun for when she's wearing hats and needs a hat pin.

Mel likes makeup a lot. It covers up her scars she gets from fighting in the mines (*cough* saving Sydney *cough*) and any blemishes she has. She also just thinks it's pretty. She tends to go for a minimal elegant look, though. She's scared of overdoing it. She wears it whenever she's going out for the day. So, not when she's doing sweaty farm work.

She has a very sweet smile. Good teeth and gums, too, though she does have a front tooth gap in her upper teeth (it just adds a quirk!). However, the first thing people would probably notice about her face would be her eyes. She wears pink contacts!

Fawn switches between a silky lacey nightgown and regular soft pyjama shirts and pants. Her PJs have lots of fun patterns like clouds or stars or balloons (saved for her birthday).

Fawn hasn't gotten any piercings yet, but she wants to get some simple earlobe ones. Just the regulars for now, but maybe she'll move up to more someday! They also have a good few scars from the mines, but she covers any ones on her face up with makeup. She doesn't have any tattoos yet either, but they're thinking of getting something like a heart or feather on their neck. Just a small one for now. She'd also like some arm tattoos. Just cute stuff; she doesn't want evil skulls or anything.
