Knaaren OC? Knaaren OC.
Gahlen, druid/shaman that takes care of healing other knaarens when they brawl, and especially when they fall ill - that'd be too dishonorable a death for their warrior caste.
They grow their own mosses and herbs, though he sometimes goes outside himself to fetch rare plants, or those that don't survive the transplant to the underground.
Despite being a healer, he's absolutely not a pacifist. He can and will and already have been into numerous fights, and he has a fair amount of kills to his name. Of course.
Close to the royal family, he has at times advised them. A fairly traditionalist knaaren, he's nonetheless not entirely adverse to change, but still distrusts outsiders - and isn't overjoyed about the revered title of Champion having been awarded to Rayman.
Why are they blue?
Well I always thought knaarens looked inspired by fish, and this mere idea had me running with the concept of a Knaaren inspired by deep sea fish. That's literally it, I just think it's neat.
I'll probably come up with a serious canon reason at some point lmfao
Also I've put triangle motifs a lil bit everywhere in their design and I've decided it's a knaaren symbol meaning "health" or something. Yipee.
