“Through a rapist’s eyes. A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview…ed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.

3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.

5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.

6] Number three is public restrooms.

7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.

8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping,eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side,put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .

b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

The year to love our idols;

-i support Kai and Jennie, they deserve to be happy together, don't tear into them just because your ship isn't coming true

+support idol dating in general; if you're allowed to date why aren't they? It's not a big deal

-dont support dispatch; you can accept idol dating without wanting to expose couples, think of how worried some of your faves could be right now just knowing dispatch are planning to reveal more couples, knowing their careers and images are at stake (only because they are dating someone) so dispatch can get that attention, they deserve privacy

-please let's not feud about this one, our fandoms need to come together this year to make the idols feel more supported, they are treated so poorly at times it's unacceptable, too bad you wanted this person with someone else, or someone said someone else's name,

+support solo projects and don't spread rumours about that idol leaving their group just because they're doing solo work if it is unfounded, trust me they'll tell you when they're leaving

+support idols who have left their group or company, it's tough enough without the hate

-dont compare idols in a cruel way; so what if one person can reach a note and the other can't, they still both sound pretty damn good either way right? And this person has better outfits, whilst complaining might make the company eventually see (sure they have and probably don't care) don't drag the idol for it, those things tend to be chosen for them.

-dont go onto videos about certain groups you don't like and slander them, don't like them? Leave without saying a thing or putting a dislike or flagging, go watch a group you like and instead put a nice comment on there, not that hard. If it's a video with more than one group or artist, comment on the group you like and don't say anything about the group you don't. Spread love not hate.

+lets not make anyone feel unwelcome in their group, they're apart of it for a reason, so be nice or say nothing at all

+do comment nice things on your faves Instagram posts and their videos, showing support and just being lovely towards them.

+watch their videos on YouTube, get those views up! Make sure you like it too and subscribe to their YouTube channel.

+follow their accounts, one button gets their followers to go up, something that supports them

+be kind with fanart, I'm sure they love seeing it

+be kind to other fans

-dont push for the groups to release new work, we're all waiting for it, just let their other videos get you through

-when they are talking on stage don't scream other them in the crowd (saw someone who did this at a concert, group looked less than pleased that they had to keep stopping and starting what they were saying again)

+go to concerts, if you can, it's a thrill and supports them

-dont make fun of idols, they have enough to deal with without more criticism being thrown their way

+watch dramas, you never know what idol will pop up in them, also the stories👌

+buy their merch, it's like promoting them walking and it really makes you feel involved in the fandom and proud

+help other fans (see someone fall? Help them up)

+look for more groups you like (believe it or not you can support as many as you like and love as many as you like, it doesn't make you unfaithful it makes you varied) if you see one don't like them, move on, go find one you do like, just don't talk smack on your way out of there, your bias doesnt have to change, it can, I could name a few bias wreckers, doesn't mean you love anyone any less, you might have just found someone you love more

+be grateful, they work their butts off for us, so don't complain

+support content creators

+put your phone down at concerts, experience it

+stay happy, I'm sure your faves all want to see a smile on your face, stay strong this 2019

One long year, one very long, chaotic year. It's crazy how fast the time has gone, all my thoughts and prayers to the family of Jonghyun, the members of Shinee, Jonghyun's friends and my fellow Shawols, I miss him a lot and I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through, today will be tough on them so let's be kind and give them our support. If my blog is to be deleted after December 17th I'll be on other platforms, I'm going to be creating a new Tumblr blog, the name is yet to be decided, hopefully I'll be able to keep it along the lines of fathom imagine if not I'll be posting the name and links in the next few days, I'm also going to be creating deviantart, ao3, Instagram, wattpad, quotev and fanfiction.net accounts under the new name, all my previous posts and more will be posted on these accounts, if this blog isn't deleted I'll be creating the extra accounts anyway and will post links to each one when I figure out what's happening. I hope to see my followers in the future, I'll be posting all new details by December 16th (tomorrow) at 11:30pm(London time), this is most likely going to result with me moving over to other platforms with my works and if Tumblr keeps my blog you'll see more posts on here in the future, but I might make a new Fathom imagine with all my works and no distractions from it with other blogs.

Your boys were nothing if not persistent, BTS’ maknae line had been your best friends for years, you’d met them when you started as their makeup artist and instantly you became close, you loved no one more than your boys for the longest time and they felt the same about you, nothing could change that, no one could change that, or it seemed that way, but as of late the three had noticed a change in you, you were spending less and less time with them, you seemed to pull away a bit, you used to have all the time in the world for them but lately you’ve been so booked up and they knew you didn’t have another job, you would have said but instead they got lame excuses; “I’m tired”, “I have to be up early”, “I’ve got errands to run” and at first they thought they’d done something to upset you but it became clear that wasn’t the case, you seemed perfectly fine with them, you just had less time for them and they wanted to know why, they questioned you relentlessly about what took up so much of your day but got nothing new from you, so they began making half joking suggestions to see what you’d do or say, they quickly hit the jackpot when you flushed beet red upon mentioning a possible boyfriend, understandably they were upset that you didn’t tell them and weren’t happy that you weren’t telling them who exactly who you were seeing, they wouldn’t have it, they’d been kept in the dark for so long and after many days of sneaking about they finally caught you, they found you sat with a man in a fancy restaurant and decided then and there it was now or never, they got themselves a table and ordered some food, not taking their eyes off of you or the mystery man, waiting for their chance to jump whilst trying to catch a glimpse of his face, they eventually grew impatient but their opportunity had finally come, the two of you stood, shared a quick kiss and began to leave the restaurant, Jungkook, V and Jimin stopped you before you made it to the door of the restaurant, calling your name, seeing you and the man turn to look in their general direction they felt their hearts stop,

“Hyung?!”

Block B was the first concert I ever went to, it was amazing and I’m thankful for that awesome night, whilst I’m upset Zico has parted ways, I’ll always love and support him and the rest of Block B, I’m just grateful I was able to see them perform as the ot7 (well 6, P.O was unable to attend as he was sick, poor baby), wishing them all the best in their endeavours, I hope all you other BBC’s will do the same. Don’t start bashing Zico for leaving or the other members for their reactions, I’m sure it was a difficult choice he thought long and hard about, he’s doing what he believes is best for him.

On 19th October, Lee Seok Cheol, The East Light’s leader opened up about the physical and verbal abuse from Media Line’s producer Yoon Youngil and their CEO, Kim Chang Hwan starting from before their debut until last year (2015 - 2017).

They were severely abused with a baseball bat, metal microphone, slapped in their face. Yoon Youngil reportedly wrapped a guitar string around a member’s neck and yanked it everytime he would make a mistake during his performance. Whenever the member tried to speak up about it, he would threaten them blatantly, “I’m going to kill you.” Due to this, they sustained injuries and trauma, both physical and psychological.

The CEO Kim Chang Hwan simply allowed such vile actions to go on, merely telling Yoon Youngil “Don’t be too harsh.” The CEO cursed and threatened the members as well. The trauma and abuse are so extreme that Lee Seung Hyun is currently receiving treatment for physical and psychological pain.

Today is NOT the day we let criminals like Kim Chang Hwan & Yoon Youngil roam around freely. THIS HAS TO BE TO STOPPED. Can you imagine the aspirations, the hope & the trust all 6 of them, Lee Seok Cheol, Lee Eun Sung, Lee Seung Hyun, Jeong Sa Gang, Kim Jun Wook & Lee Woo Jin had in the company? The trust their families had in the company, to aid these young men to reach their goals & fulfill their dreams. And what happened to that trust, that love? These vile people used it against them.

It does not matter who you stan or don’t stan. We are gonna end violence by spreading the word, showing our support. REMEMBER AS MUCH AS WE WANNA BLAST AT THE ABUSERS

ALL 6 of them should be our priority. Let’s send them positive messages, show them that, WE ARE HERE FOR THEM, DESPITE THE STORM WE ARE HERE TO STAY BESIDE THEM, WE ARE HERE TO HELP THEM THROUGH THIS. Let’s show them the love and support. Let’s stand with them, for them & beside them.
