I just want to know if anybody else noticed the color symbolism in this episode??? The flickering between blue and red lighting during the “helmet scene”? When there was sadness and regret, when Vader’s voice was interplaying between Anakin’s and the modulator, his face was lit in blue. It was faint and flickering, but it was there. There was an inkling of Anakin, fighting its way to the surface; there was goodness. Then when Vader said that he had killed Anakin--when he assured Obi-Wan that his friend was well and truly gone--he lifted his lightsaber and was bathed in red.

obi-wan let go of anakin. not because he no longer loves him; but because sometimes, when we love somebody, we must let them go

(disclaimers: I don't think he SEEMS shallow, but I checked off "deeper than they seem" because I construe his character as having more layers beneath the archetypal "wise mentor" exterior. I also think MOST characters, who would do fine solo, work better as part of a dynamic)

side note, I know the post 'blorbo' comes from but I don't really understand the meaning of the term colloquially/how to use it, so if anyone wants to explain that to me, that would be solid
