This is what a chemical free Hauz Khas lake looks like. December 2021 was the last time chemicals were added. Although certain DDA staff members claim otherwise. The contractor, Kalpana Arora was still paid 2 lakhs a month even though she stopped adding algae fertiliser. It also helps that no DDA staff member has been flooding the lake with sewage for the past month. Around 50 lakhs has been wasted by DDA this year alone adding algae fertiliser to lakes in what can only be described as a stunning display of incompetence. Apparently you don't need any experience to be considered an expert by the government. Something we have seen at Hauz Khas lake too. It is little wonder we are surrounded by dirty lakes and failed projects when inexperienced & incompetent consultants are constantly allowed to work on them.
