One of the most common reasons I hear for people being against abortion is because “life is sacred.”
Really? Since when? When has life ever been sacred in this country?
If life is sacred, how come we don’t have universal healthcare?
If life is sacred, how come we don’t pass comprehensive gun laws so first graders don’t get gunned down in their classrooms?
If life is sacred, why don’t we offer paid maternal leave so mothers can actually take care of the babies that you are now forcing them to have?
If life is sacred, how come we don’t bat an eye when the police murder black kids?
If life is sacred, why do we have the highest maternal death rate in the developed world, which is only going to increase now that women are being forced to give birth?
If life is sacred, why is the death penalty even still a thing?
If life is sacred, why are we still encouraging violence against the LGBTQ+ community?
Life has literally never been sacred in this country. Maybe anti-choicers like to pretend that it is because it makes them feel righteous when in reality, they’re just misogynistic pieces of shit, but it’s not. And as long as psychotic, reactionary morons continue to steal power undemocratically and make decisions that the majority of us do not want, it never will be.

The fact that ‘girly’ boys are so ridiculed to the point that they are often used as comedic relief (definitely not to be respected/treated like an actual decent human being) really just says we as a humanity fucking despise all feminine traits huh
If you want to fight me, give me a convincing essay on why tom boys are acceptable and feminine boys are not. Otherwise, leave

I vividly remember that for my World Issues class exam, there was a question about gender equality. It was an opinion question on whether I thought equal rights have been accomplished (because we did a unit on women’s rights activism during the World Wars).
At first, when I started answering, I was going to say something along the lines of ‘we’re more equal than we once were but there are still problems to face. Also, men experience their share of gender related issues as well.’
But as I was writing, I got thinking about how I despised the colour pink as a little girl in elementary. I hated skirts, dresses, princesses… basically, anything related to being a ‘girl’. I thought it made me weak, pathetic, embarrassing.
Can you believe that? At the ripe age of 8, I hated being a girl.
And I’m not the only one. I know there are thousands upon thousands of girls out there who have gone through the same thing - despising anything that would label them as a ‘girly-girl’. I know my best friend went through that as well.
That got me thinking - how many boys have ever felt so mocked, so ashamed by their gender that they hated anything associated with it? How many boys have hated the colour blue and toy vehicles because they thought it made them lesser human beings?
None. I have never, ever encountered a boy that despises ‘boyish’ things the same way countless little girls despise ‘girly’ things.
So I wrote that on my test, that no, you know what, we’re not equal. As long as little girls feel shame for being associated with their gender, we are not. Fucking. Equal.

Rapists have zero excuses. None. If you rape someone you’re automatically trash and deserve to rot in prison I’m sorry

People banning abortion without trying to deal with the causes of abortion have exactly one brain cell and can fuck off this planet. Go live on Mars or something please
Are you going to make pills/condoms etc easier to access? Are you going to actually punish fucking rapists because they are scum and trash that should definitely not be allowed to roam the streets? Are you going to help mothers/families that don’t have the fucking money to raise, or even give birth to a child? No? Y’all just going to ban abortions because clearly, abortions are evil and bad and once it’s gone America will be a great country!!
Y’all should just straight up say you don’t care about other people bc it’s pretty obvious already no use in hiding it

Like I’m fine referring to myself as female and using the women’s bathroom and stuff but the minute you try to relate any aspect of me to either gender I will tear your nose out

The person who my gender is relevant to is a doctor that needs to know how my body functions. That’s it. Everyone else can officially Fuck Off

The longer I live the more I dream of confusing the fuck out of people because they cannot figure out my Gender…. At age 20 I may just be realizing that you know what, I am non binary…

I forgot why I distanced myself from reading human rights and equality stuff online ……. it’s literally because I hate every single fucking person out there that is rude, inconsiderate, and selfish. Like listen, I’m a lazy ass trash human being but I am genuinely confident that I am soaring miles above some of y’all in the compassion and human decency department like fuck you and whatever heart you left in the trash

Why do people say ‘it’s just a phase’ to dismiss children exploring/questioning their sexuality, like I’m pretty sure most kids watching children’s shows are just ‘phases’ but that didn’t stop you from buying them all the merch……huh……

I fucking hate the fact that ‘boyish’ girls aka tomboys are acceptable in society but ‘girlish’ boys are ridiculed and mocked. Hypocrisy at its finest. If y’all shit on boys with traditionally feminine interests please just fuck off and get a life. If I can wear jeans and clothing from the mens section without anyone batting an eye boys can wear skirts and any other ‘feminine’ clothing without having to feel embarrassed by it.

Honestly my least favorite HeterosexualTM trope is the ‘I-no-longer-acknowledge-the-opposite-gender-because-I’m-in-a-relationship’ like… you can still have platonic & healthy relationships with the other gender…
I’m asexual & aro so this doesn’t really apply to me but I think it’s really weird that your partner gets to limit your social life? Like if I wasn’t ace and had a partner, there’s no way in hell I’d be letting them tell me who I get to talk to/hang out with. I don’t choose my friends by gender? Also, if you need to constantly restrict your partner so they don’t cheat, is that really someone you want to be dating? Idk, maybe if I wasn’t aro I would think otherwise but it really just feels obsessive and unhealthy to me

Sometimes I just get really tired because people are so uptight about everything. Cultural appropriation is a good example. Personally, I find 80% of what people complain is cultural appropriation is … dumb?
Like I still find it annoying that people call foreigners wearing a kimono cultural appropriation. I’m partJapanese. I’ve lived in Japan my whole life. I don’t give a flying fuck if celebrities wear kimono as party dresses or what not. I know ‘My culture is not your costume’ is a relatively common phrase that comes up when discussing cultural appropriation, and I just want to say that a kimono is a fucking costume. Go wild. Yeah, there may be some people who don’t like it, but if we only do things that 100% of the population agrees with all we can do is maybe breathe.
Like actually, where do you draw the line between appreciation and appropriation? I’ve seen a lot of people claim that it’s there but I’ve failed to see a clear line. Cultures have developed by mixing and mingling and taking things that they like from other cultures and shaping it to fit their own people. For example, kanji. It originated in China but now Japanese people use it in everyday life. However, we’ve changed it and added to it to fit our stuff. Is that appropriation? California rolls are definitely not sushi. They’ve taken the concept of Japanese sushi and adapted it to fit the likes of Western people. Is that appropriation? Fuck it, the Holy Roman Empire was basically a copy of the Greek. Their mythology is taking the exact same people and giving them different names. You gonna shit on the Roman Empire for cultural appropriation?
Cultures are always shifting and changing to align with the times. Yes, there are certain things that have been around for centuries. Even then, stuff changes. We are, and always have been, influenced by the cultures around us. With the internet and easy international travel, honestly, what do you expect? Of course we’re going to be interested in other cultures, want to see and try stuff for ourselves.
I don’t know, maybe I’m just not getting it but I sometimes I wish we could just be like ‘hey cool culture’ and have that be the end of it.

One time I said ‘other people’s opinions are shit’ and my mum got really mad at me. At first I was really defensive about it but now that I think about it, I worded that poorly and didn’t get across what I really wanted to say.
We were watching a show about a girl who loved ballet, but got a tumor in her knee. The only way that she could continue ballet was to have this surgery that would leave her leg quite disfigures without a prosthetic leg. Since the girl was 9, the parents were discussing it first. The mother was worried about what other people would think, about whether her little girl would eventually be able to go on a date. Basically, she was worried that her daughters leg would repulse any future partners.
This is when I said that others people’s opinions are shit. What I meant was that what other people think or you? Worthless. Especially when it come to physical traits or clothing. Someone says your hair is ugly? Who fucking cares? You like it, and that’s enough. Someone thinks you’re clothing is too revealing? Girly? Boyish? Meh. It’s not like you’re forcing them to wear it, what does it matter to them?
This ideology can get a bit complicated with mental or emotional things because people can point out toxic behaviors in you and help you improve. However, people shouldn’t say shit about what you look like, what you wear, ‘cause it doesn’t matter to them. At all. Unless your appearance is somehow physically hurting them, which is next to impossible, fuck them. They aren’t worth it.
