Fifth Harmony.

This is it. The last show. The last day the girls will be together as Fifth Harmony. It’s hard to put those words together in my head and i don’t think i could ever say it out loud.

A kaleidoscope of memories goes through my mind while i try to put down my final post. So many memories i wish i could just tell you, but i don’t wanna get too personal. But how could i not get personal when my life was Fifth Harmony. But let’s take it from the start.

For a lot of us, it all started with Demi. Yes, Demi Lovato. Do yo remember how excited you were to see her on this new adventure for her? She was gonna be a judge on The X Factor. You never imagined how that would change your life. And it did, it really did. TXF was a wonderful chapter. We laughed with them, we cried with them. It was beautiful to get to know them individually and as a group. Even though they didn’t win, they won millions of hearts. (but actually, they won txf too. Where’s Tate at? where’s Carly at? where’s Emblem Flop at?? no one knows and no one cares).

Moving to….. Miss. Movinnnn’ Onnnn! That was probably one of the best and most joyful days for the girls and the fandom. Remember that video of the girls hearing the song for the first t- hold on hold on hold on! that’s too way ahead. Let’s go back a bit. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE COVERS DAYS???? phewww! i looked forward to those every week (it was weekly right? i don’t have the best memory and i apologize if i mess up this timeline of events lol). Yeap, those were the days. I still hate them for never making covers again. But yeah, the covers days/days when they were working AND living together making the album/Ep were golden. They fed us well every day with videos and pictures of them being.. them. And let’s talk a little bit about the ships, bc even though they started to form during the x factor era, they got reaaalll strong during the recording of the EP era. Flashbacks overflowing my head. Send help.

Back to Miss Movin’ On. It gave us one of the most precious moments of Fifth Harmony, which was when they heard the song for the first time. Let us remember:

Yeah, i think that was everybody’s reaction. We were so happy and so proud of them. And when the video came out we were SHOOK. And a lil jealous of that boy who got to be Lauren’s boyfriend in the video. Good thing we know how the video ends :))))) MMO still the best.

And so the Better Together era started. And those 6 songs became the holy grail for harmonizers. Soon the girls would be on a mini tour. That was the best era to meet them. Not so many rules or restrictions, they were free. It was the best of times. Then some more touring and then…… THE TAKEOVERS WERE BORN. Those were good, weren’t they? lots of fun, lots of dumb stuff, cuteness overload. Which one was your fav?

My mental timeline is getting blurry rn so I’ll probably skip some 5H moments. The girls were getting more famous and we were all happy but scared at the same time bc they were our little secret. Always our little secret. But some secrets don’t stay hidden forever….. like those tumblrs! i’m looking at you waakeme-up and ssweet-dispositionn. And sometimes even twitter fan accounts but we don’t wanna embarrass anyone so we’re not mentioning that lol. And soon all of the girls would have a tumblr and it was like an escape from reality for them. We got to know more about them through tumblr. A different side to them. And god said it was nice and it was good.

*I had to come back to this era bc i just wanna remind you all of one the best moments of this era: 5H winning that MTV award:

Jumping all the way to the Reflection era. Musically, my favorite era. Why? bc it gave us the timeless masterpieces that BO$$, Worth It (i still love your breathing baby Lo), and Sledgehammer are. Also, not trying to sound pitty but Reflection and Going Nowhere (ok i actually meant only Going Nowhere here, but when i posted it i put Reflection but now i’ve fixed) should’ve been singles bc they’re two of the best 5H songs of all time. I said what i said. Also, the choreo for Going Nowhere stays the best choreo of that era, so there’s that too. But really, there’s not a single bad song in Reflection, that’s not an option it’s a fact. So the Reflection era was amazing. I got to attend my first 5H concert and it was everything. They accomplished so many things and we ain’t got no sleep cause of them.

The 7/27 era. The fancy messy era. We had been living in a dream but we were about to abruptly wake up. Professionally, their best era. They were everywhere. Especially since the sacred anthem Work From Home was released during this time. This song was THE song. It is, in fact, one of the most successful songs by a girl group in the history of music. Like that’s real, i’m not even being bias right now. This era also gave us the powerful song and video That’s My Girl. My girls were literally jesus and were saving the world (and the most iconic scenes ever at 1:34 and 1:47 1:48 1:49 1:50 1:51 1:52 1:53 1:54) (admit it, even if you’re not a shipper, you still lost your mind and were a shipper for those 9 seconds). Also how could we ever forget their best and most legendary performance at the AMAs:

And something that happened during this era too and changed our lives forever: Lauren came out. That was a glorious day. I could, in fact, hear the hallelujah chorus.

We know how this era ended. And all the things that led to it, whether they were real or not. It was a sad period of time for real harmonizers aka the fans who always loved the GROUP, not just one or four girls, but all of them as a group. And we are here again today. Another goodbye.

But the year was 2017. We were all tested. We all had to stay strong. We had to stay strong for the girls and the girls had to stay strong for us. And we kept moving forward. We saw the girls struggle, trying to survive in this ugly industry, full of people who only care about money. Their self titled album came out and even though they kept saying there was so much coming for fifth harmony, we knew this time, it was gonna be almost impossible. On the other side, there was one girl, with so many hopes. She hoped for the best but expected the worst. Camila had to deal with all the backlash and hate from people who didn’t know or understand her. And even though some of us were hurt by her decision, we didn’t leave. She thought she was alone. But soon she would see the big army standing behind her. Two eras were born. Fifth Harmony (the album) and The Hurting The Healing The Loving. And with these eras, drama came along and there was drama all year long. It was the worst of times. It was a crazy year, especially the first half of it. Both, the girls and Camila were trying to find who they were without one another and we were trying to be supportive of both of them. Some were supporting only their favorite and that’s valid too, as long as there was respect for the other. By the end of the year things had gotten better. Each one (the girls and camila) were doing their thing and in Camila’s case, she had found happiness again. Camila stayed true to herself and people saw that, which was the reason why she received so much support during the last few months of the year, which is the reason why people love her now (oh also that A+++ music she’s been putting out there, but we’re not there yet). It was actually a really good year for Camila. There’s a reason why 2017 stopped being 2017 and became 2C17. She had so many projects, collabs, her own music, performances, touring, being a literal MODEL. So December came and it was a year since Camila left the band. But we were okay, by then we had realized leaving was the best decision she’s ever made.

January 2018. Camila was giving us everything we wanted and more. The album came out. It was no longer called THTHTL but CAMILA. And it’s one of the best albums ever released. And the rest.. you know the rest, it’s a happy continuing story. Our girl is one of the biggest artists right now. But things weren’t looking so good on the other side. Was it Fifth Harmony’s fault? not directly. By March, they announced the hiatus, i call it what it is, the breakup. And here we are today.

The last time they’ll be performing as Fifth Harmony. Ending where it all started. These girls, they changed my life. And when i say that, i mean it. You know, i love a few other artists, i love them deeply, i’d die for them, it’s not a secret. But the way i loved Fifth Harmony, the impact they had in my life, no other artist compares. I met them when i needed that (all they gave me) the most. I feel very lucky to have met them. I’ll never forget these six years. And i’ll never forget my five girls. I’ll never forget this chapter that today i finish. I hope they continue to be in my book, but if not, i’ll always have the chance to turn back the pages and read the 5H chapter again. And again and again.

For my fellow harmonizers, i had the time of my life with you. The way you’ve supported the girls is incredible. You are so brave and strong. You’re brave, honest, and beautiful. You’re crazy and fun and funny as hell. You’re so damn talented as well. I got the chance to meet a few of you or just talk a few times, and you’re amazing. I cherish the memories we made and the times that we shared. I’ll always remember the nights we spent together, whether it was voting for the girls, waiting for new music to be released or just wasting our time on this goddamn hell place we call the internet.

And last, i just want to say that Fifth Harmony is the strongest group ever. They went through hell to be where they are today, to be the group they got to be. They earned every bit of their success. They left their all; sweat, blood, and tears into this project. They deserve all the praise and admiration in the world. They’re one of the best girl groups in the music history. And it’s all because of their hard work and dedication. Ally, Camila, Dinah, Lauren, and Normani did that. All of Fifth Harmony’s success is because these five girls put their hearts and souls into this project.
