Hi there!! I really love reading your headcanons and you have a great grasp on Lucio and his character! I was wanting to get a better idea of his character too, so I was wondering if you had any thoughts about what makes him most defensive or genuinely angry?

Hi, thank you for your ask :D!! Mmm... I think the things that would make him defensive and the things that would make him angry would be very different. In my opinion, what makes him defensive is, basically, anything that belittles him or that throws doubts on his worth. Deep down he thinks he's worth nothing, so in the scenario of someone belittling him, he would feel like "the truth he was trying to hide has been discovered", and so he would get nervous or even anxious, trying to convince the other person that he is, actually, amazing (he doesn't believe it himself). He might get aggressive, but it would come from a place of fear, not real anger. Examples of things that would make him defensive: critics to his physical appearance, his behaviour, his worth as a count or as a person, his style or taste in clothes, his abuse of drinks or food, making him feel ridiculous, useless or clumsy, etc. On the other hand, I think something that would make him genuinely angry would be watching something that he truly appreciates/enjoy in danger. If something is obvious, is that Lucio LOVES feeling pleasure and having fun, and he has a biiiiiig lack of affection. So he values anything that makes the worries/pain go away... and when that pleasure is in danger, he gets angry. It can go from a childish tantrum (the party he was so hype about is cancelled), to a real state of rage (someone he loves is in danger). We can see this, for example, when at the end of his own rute, everyone is discussing about the possibility of the MC becoming the devil... and he goes MAD. He defends MC with rage, because someone who loves him and makes him happy is in danger, and he feels it as something unfair. So, examples of things that would make him angry: something he likes being canceled (a party, feast, event...), someone wasting something he likes (spilling his drink, messing up his clothes, losing his favourite dagger...). And then, examples of things that would make him FURIOUS: MC being in serious danger, someone hurting Mercedes or Melchior, or even someone being mean to animals. That's the way I see it!! Things I struggle with when I'm drawing:

-Anatomy (working on this one ✅)

-Eyes (for some reason??????)

-Hair (why does it always look wrong?? Why does it look like a toupee???? I'm trying my best... *crying*)

-Clothes (agdvshsbscsgabshpieceofshit....)

I though that just drawing I would "magically" understand how all that works and get better... but after some time feeling really stuck (I don't see any significant improvement in my art), I've come to the conclusion that maybe I have to put a more active effort into understanding how all this actually work. I'm trying to understand anatomy now, I hope it's good for something. Sigh...
