If Ez is not in season 2 at all, @lukeios you already have an enormous list of plot holes to add.

They going for the “fuck the war crime plot”, “fuck Mary-Anne plot”, “fuck the elf plot”, “fuck how Ez came to ED plot” and etc.

What are your takes on the supportive cast characters like Karenn and Kero? And how would the voices your versions of the characters sound like?

I always feel uncomfortable with friendships being forced on my Gardienne, and the thing I despise the most is how they’re forced between a young adult and teenagers !! Sorry Karenn I will never like you, you’re not my pal, you’ve never been my pal and you’ll never be my pal 

Most of the support cast is sadly bland. Kero is boriiiing, Jamon is boriiiing, Alajea is boriiiing (and kind of a bitch at first?). They all feel like cookie cutter roles: the unicorn nerd, the teenage snooping vampire, the ogre brute with a heart of gold.. I just wish all characters got the same amount of development, which I believe possible in a 30 episodes story that is as melodramatic as eldarya is. I want a friendship with the buff Hamadryad, bring her back and not just for 2 seconds cameos!!!!!! 

In writing, most of the friendships feel forced, not earned. Even when you push a character away (retaking Karenn as an example because I remember the option to verbally launch her into the sun in one episode and it felt so good) but you know they’ll come back to you next episode because they’re used as exposition devices and we can’t have our character just avoiding the lot of them or else there won’t be any emotionnal investment in this bunch of dimwits. 

So maybe having one big friendship with an actually likeable character that we choose to befriend would be good for a change???

Ooooh voices headcanons!! So Miiko would maybe have a more commanding voice, not harsh but forward and slicing the air. But in situations of tension and stress she cracks and breaks more than often. Leiftan would be calm, smooth and warm (or at least attempting to, I don’t trust this two-faced bimbo) and maybe you could feel a hint of irony under it when he doesn’t speak to Gardienne. Nevra has a high pitched voice, playfull, you can simply feel a smile whenever he talks. If that smile is feral, sarcastic or sincere, that depends on the person he talks to. Ez talks in over sophisticated words, he’s a show off or just a genius who struggles to lower himself to other’s level. And Valkyon.. When Valkyon speaks, his voice is low, his words rare. Sometimes he’ll get very passionate about something, and if you’re close enough to him, he won’t stop himself, he’ll go on and hiw voice will get softer, more dreamful. Valkyon has a voice that changes when he feels comfortable with someone and finally lets his guard down. And I’ll miss my boy. 

Headcanon that to become a guard leader, there's the requirements of a written portion, general approval from a majority of the current leaders, and then a challenge to complete. So maybe Absynthe it's create a new item or something that needs rare ingredients or modify a recipe and make it better. Shadow could be stealing, assassination, or gather info in one of the most dangerous places. Obsidian could be forge your own weapon and use it to challenge the guard leader to a one on one duel.

Ouh, love the idea of a chief exam! Absinth could even be to prove your excellent knowledge of alchemy by using some well-known ingredients to craft a totally new potion (just imagine how much of a show-off Ez would be with that) (also would the kitty mafia steal it and commercialize it, the lil furry bastards?) Shadow would likely be a gathering of information, I love them as an intel oriented guard, even going as far as having to sort out what is true in the stuff they gathered and being possibly tricked by their sources to test how cunning they can be For the Obsidian I’d think of either forging a precious and complex matter or having to defeat every member of the guard in a duel (involving various weapons depending on your opponent) in a row, so not only strenght but also stamina and skill! 

Overall I love that headcanon, it’s so good creativity-wise thank you anon!!!

Anyone surprised about the new bullshit system being crammed in Eldarya: New Era ?

Imagine having a blog just to attack one person. This blog is the definition of toxicity. People seem to enjoy targeting and harassing others on the internet without knowing anything about the other person's real life situation. Then when things get bad they start deleting all the shit they did.

 Alright so I don’t believe I owe you any explanation (and certainly no apologies) but imma do it anyway so any holier than thou person who comes across this blog will have a step by step baby mode brochure of my blog, because I’m just generous like that.  1. Did I attack Chinomiko?  No. I  do make fun of her art and writing, I never tag her or hatebrowse her blog to interact on purpose with her (neither anyone else from Beemov for that matter)  I don’t send her asks or cowardly anons (hey there), and don’t encourage anyone who takes pleasure in my blog to do so, because it would be a waste of time.  What I do, most of the time, is make fun of the entire Beemov corporation for their ludacris decisions concerning their games. Now, if your compassion is so high for a corporation that only cares about your money, honey, you’re neck deep in a capitalist stockholm syndrome and I can’t do anything about it.  2. Do I harass (gasp) Chinomiko?  Ok so to the risk of repeating myself, I don’t interact with her. At all. Not on Tumblr, not on Eldarya/MCL forums, not on Facebook. Chino exists outside of my actual life (don’t worry, it’s full of shit and that’s why I rarely find time to update that blog)  Are things (double gasp) Getting Bad??? Quick answer is no. Long answer is also no, Chino probably doesn’t gif a flying fuck about me, she makes more money a year than I do and my rants have no impact on her. It’s likely she doesn’t even know I exist.  She’s more than welcome to block me if so, guess what, it is super easy and, Once Again, I’ll never be going out of my way to interact with someone I like to mock. Part1--Hey there! Is Eldarya really that bad? I used to play Mcl but I stopped because to me it felt like Sucrette is a cockthirsty bitch and no one wants to make a move on her. The characters are all flat too. Plus they showed Alexy in the love interest category then threw him out. Kinda felt betrayed by that, no one in Germany reads your damn FAQ chino, if someone is shown in the love interest tab, then people will think they have a chance. Honestly I dislike chino so much, she's arrogant

Hey there! So Eldarya is VERY flawed. It’s sad when you feel things that could be good ideas but are wasted on poor to absolutely baffling execution. It definitely seems they wanted to make it more adult oriented than MCL, but GODDAMN Eldarya is basically the Anti-Arcana. The Arcana is affordable, Eldarya has a system that’ll have you wait for months to play one to two episodes, or sell all your belongings on a player market controlled by the Kitty Mafia (please refer to my kitty mafia tag if you don’t know about it) The Arcana has some great queer representation and let’s you chose your MC pronouns, eldarya does none of that. Of course representation is attempted and it’s huh... 

Nooow. About MCL and Alexy. I like having organic characters interacting and all, and Alexy, like, I’m fine to see him in “the boys” section (Don’t know about the german translation where this page could be titled “crushes” but since it also has Boris and Mr Faraize and I didn’t plan on seducing them that was pretty clear cut to me that it englobed ALL guys) But the Gay Best Friend trope is soooo annoying, so eye-rolling and just forces the character in one tiny box, but you KNOW the writing team is super proud of him because he’s still here throughout the THREE versions of MCL and it’s like... Guys?? Please make him something other than a fashion driven hoe?? I take it back I don’t want more LGBT+ representation in my games????

chinomiko does not even work on eldarya anymore and has not worked on it or any of the other otome games for a while

After doing some digging, even if Chino doesn’t work on illustrations anymore, she still has a veto right and needs to give her approval on every illustration/chara design and those are based on her suggestions, which are sent to the new artist

So I was playing Eldarya and I'm on episode 10 because I have shitty ass luck with the pets (I always get high rank pets with really low lucky) and because of that I stayed behind. But anyways, so I lost the final image. I got mad cause damn I wasted all those maanas. I talked with a friend and I discovered that I lost because I choose the "I miss my parents" instead of the boy. Am I the only one who sees how bad these scene was?
