I won't write shy!reader, but I would write semi-anxious!reader. Reader who's totally cool with talking to EVERYONE ELSE but has such a stupid crush on Eddie that they totally shut down.

Like, you see Eddie in the lunch room. He's wearing a shirt of a band you know. If he was ANYONE else, you'd be able to easily go over and talk to him, but it's Eddie and something about his big doe eyes and intense personality has you frozen. It's stupid. He's a guy, he's a GUY and you're afraid to talk to him? You suck it up and start walking towards his table. You make eye contact for a split second-

And you walk right by him, to the trashcan behind him and pretend to throw something away because you're a coward.

Later, you're in class together. He asks if he can borrow a pencil. You hand one over, trying to be as disinterested as possible because that's the only way you can pretend that you don't have such a hopeless crush on him. You fumble the pencil and drop it. Both of you crash heads together when you both go to pick it up.

A week later you and Eddie are walking towards each other in the hallway. You two do that awkward dance where you both trying a move to let the other pass by but then you just end up in each others way. You grab him by the shoulders and actually physically move him to move by him. For the rest of the day, you keep thinking about his arms under your hands and the feeling of his jacket.

Eddie thinks you hate him because you pivoted so hard to hide your crush you've over corrected. You're slamming your head into a wall over and over because you know if you could just suck it up and talk to him for a minute you'd probably be fine.

Anyway I think one-sided crush/one-sided enemies to idiots to lovers is really fun.

I just love the idea of cute grumpy Eddie. Eddie who does NOT want to wake up in the morning. He’ll put his pillow over his head and you can’t hear what he’s saying but its probably explicit. He hates when you get cold feet and put them on his legs he will kick you out of the bed. Eddie who sulks when the store is out of his favourite brand of chips because the off brand one does not taste the same and don’t try to tell him it does, he will launch into a tirade like he’s at a Greek symposium. He hates getting tummy aches, he’s a total wimp about it and will complain the entire time. If you make his coffee wrong he won’t just pretend and politely drink it, he will get you to make it again. Black with like seven sugars because he’s insane. You only put up with it because his irritable little pout is so cute.

in response to a tweet from SYSCAbout (shit you should care about) saying "hi just letting you know it's now illegal to protest in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. this is not good 0_0" referencing the article linked here.

clarifying because i read the article: it is still legal, but it is no longer safe, specifically to ORGANIZE a protest. the 5th circuit court ruled that if any one attendee of a protest does something illegal (even something arbitrary as throwing stones, as was the cause for the case), the organizer (s) of said protest could face legal and financial ruin. this is still horrific and a threat to the livelihood of so many people, but for the love of god do not stop protesting for one minute. to only protest when it's safe (or legal) is no protest at all. free palestine and hands off iran 🇵🇸🇮🇷.

and frankly, shame on you SYSCAbout, for blatantly fearmongering. how many people are going to read this and assume if they show up to a protest, they will be arrested no matter what? how many people is your wording going to stop from mobilizing? oh but did you get your clicks? did you get your engagement? shame.

continue to mobilize, continue to organize, but do not do it under your personal social media account, legal name, or attached to your visage. if you weren't already (why???), mask up at protests and cover any tattoos/peircings/dyed hair. carry no identification if you are able. if the state governments think the people, the angry, fed up, those fighting for their own right to exist, the people who have been subjected to the conditions for marginalized people in these states, are going to roll over and take it, they are dead wrong. if they think giving those same people nothing to lose is going to stop them, they have another thing coming.
