Haha heyyyyy…. Long time no see.

So..

It’s almost been a year since I first posted Ghost of a Warrior. And please know that even if I haven’t posted in, *checks date* FIVE MONTHS. life got really crazy man. I started up college classes that have been kicking my ass and had some not so fun things happen to myself and the people around me. I do promise I haven’t forgotten or anything, and I’m steadily working on chapter 8 when I can find the time.

So to make up for it, take a doodle of the bestest boys, (slightly older than the current time in the fic.)

I just wanted to say, darlings, that genuinely the dp x dc fandom is a delight. I have espoused to other fandom friends how fun it is to create for- how freeing.

You all are down for any canon changes and twists and warping. I can sit and write a story world building it one way and you'll all read along nodding and then in another story with the same characters completely change everything and you'll be there for that too. I can do as much or as little research as I want. I can horde or discard what I want. I can jump from ship to ship to found family at will.

And you all turn out for it in droves. The engagement and encouragement and passion and creations in this fandom are genuinely amazing.

We aren't a perfect fandom- no fandom is. There are some bad cores and hateful people or just people who haven't learned yet the reality of being in a fandom space, but they're easy enough to avoid or block. And oh how the good outweighs the bad!

So don't let anyone cause you to forget how good this fandom is or make you feel less for it verse the parent fandom. I'm so happy to have stumbled into it and the inspiration that it is and the joy that it's been to create for.

Anyways, little update, I’m still working on the fic. I hope to get this next chapter done by the end of the month and back up on something of a schedule. I’ve also spent a lot of this time getting the overarching plot planned out. I’m having a fun time with the lore.

To help with the waiting, I want to try writing small prompts and side bits that might or might not be canon. And so I bring you this silly little doodle.

I had the little idea of what if Sam and Tucker showed up in the warriors universe to find Danny who’d been missing for a while. They just show up and this random loner starts yelling at their newest Warrior. It’s really fun to come up with silly little concepts.

(I also want to make WC designs for all of team Phantom, including Jazz and Dani as well)

Lil Fic update

Im so sorry I haven’t updated a chapter in a bit. Im a stupid and the device i use to write my fics and my book and do my artwork shattered and I haven’t been able to do much writing.

I promise I’ve got a chapter in the works but this is delaying it a bit. And im still on summer breaks and vacations so thats also being a bit of a delay. Once class starts back up again I’ll definitely try and get out a schedule.

But anyways, again, this isn’t abandoned, just a little delayed until i can fix my stuff. In the meantime, lil Danny doodle! (This was the best i could do. My screen is shattered)

I wont say too much about what’s happening, as this takes from a few lore things i have planned, but overall this image is non canon as of now. I also just wanted to test out a Cinderpelt design. And Redtail’s there too because i love him.

Just a silly little hypothetical doodle of a scenario where Dani shows up as a cat in thunderclan around the time of The Fourth Apprentice and becomes Danny’s apprentice as his long lost little sister (idk what her name would be, Flightpaw maybe??) who came looking for him after learning of his existence.

She’d become fast friends with the newest apprentices Dovepaw and Ivypaw and would train alongside them.

The mentors are happy that the kiddos are getting along. Danny is just waiting for the chaos.

I actually finished this one around the same time as Brightheart’s but hadn’t gotten around to posting it. I think this is my favorite design I’ve done for him currently.

I definitely have some big plans for this guy in the chapters going forward. And lots of silly little ideas for later books that id probably never get to. So most of these ideas will come in little doodles or extra one shots because i love the idea of Danny being around for OoTS as well but I’m not going to write the full PoT series. I do definitely want to get to the important scenes (Fire scene, Holly’s dissent, Sol etc.) but im going to focus on the main plot first. I do have quite a bit planned lore wise, though most of the smaller things and details are written in on the spot.

Anyways hes a silly little guy and i love him.

Brightheart! The gorgeous queen!

This is my design of Brightheart for my fic, Ghost of a Warrior on A3!

I’ve loved Brightheart since I was a kid back in the earlier days of my time in the fandom. She’s such a kind and loyal cat, thunderclan doesn’t deserve her.

In my headcannons Brightheart is deeply respected, even among the other clans, as a survivor and a true warrior. I want to portray that in how I write how she interacts with cats from other clans. And this is one of my reasons for making her Danny’s mentor. She’s levelheaded and motherly and is the stable support that Danny needs. And she just deserves an apprentice

Did a little concept for my version of Longtail for my fic! But also just a general design.

I’ve always really liked Longtail even as a kid and I definitely want to give him more time to shine in my own writing.

im so bad at complimenting art i go “OOGGGH” and “THAT IS SO EPIC” which is not enough but i mean those so genuinely

being a fan of a character is sometimes “look at how complex he is. he’s so intricate and his story is so tragic and he’s so much more complicated than people give him credit for” and sometimes it’s like “haha look at this failure of a person. I wanna throw him off a cliff and see what happens”
