Hi! I’ve been following for quite some time, I was curious how one would request a matchup?
Thank you for sticking around!
You can request a matchup with a 'mon by sending in a letter (ask) describing a bit about yourself, what you need help with, and the kind of environment you're in!
While this blog is mainly for helping people find support mons, we also do just for fun matchups with less popular pokemon to help combat stigma around them, like how Drifloon get a bad rep but are absolutely amazing at painting!
Also, feel free to add some info about what you don't want, as we want to be sure you and your new buddy are as good a match as possible!

It's been two whole years, but asks are now OPEN, everyone!!
Feel free to request matchups, share your experiences, just chat with us, etc!
We’re closing asks for a while, but they’ll be back open soon hopefully!
We now have two mods, but the asks are still coming in faster than we can get them down. So until we’ve gotten down to 30 asks we’ll be closing the inbox. But feel free to jot down whatever you want to ask for later! :D

When I was in high school, I got diagnosed with chronic anxiety - I immediately started looking into service pokemon, and I learned that many psychic types are great for those of us with anxiety who find it hard to communicate our needs verbally and suffer from panic attacks. Now, ten years later, I have my sweet little Elgyem, Roswell, his hand-light pulses are FANTASTIC for calming me and grounding me, and he helps communicate with psychic impulses~ I just wanted to share the love for my lil guy,,,
I'm so happy you and your partner pokemon found eachother! Elgyem are among some of the most mysterious pokemon in terms of origin! Many people use their hard to trace ancestry as proof they could be aliens! Buuut they tend to forget that we know even less about the origins of Klink and other "less extraterrestrial" pokemon.
There isn't much research done yet towards Elgyem as a support pokemon due to the focus on its ancestry, so congrats, trainer! Your little buddy is so helpful to you, that he's helpful towards other anxious people out there too!
I'm glad he helped your anxiety, and i hope you two are doing well!

Any partner recommendations for someone with a dissociative disorder that makes them lose time and also autism?
For you, I'd recommend a Deerling!
Deerling, while obviously keeping seasonal time with their coats, are notoriously sticklers for punctuality!
They have a pleasant but persistent character, able to be a good companion in all sorts of situations. Their fur is quite soft, and their flower can emanate all sorts of lovely smells.
Specifically I've heard Deerling used to help people stay more present and stimulated, without going overboard and causing discomfort for those prone to sensory issues.
It's important to note that Deerling aren't independent pokemon, and in your case that's why I'm suggesting it. They require your attention multiple times throughout the day, and will make this very clear by lightly headbutting you! Don't worry, though! This is also how Deerling show affection :)
The best way to give them this attention is by including them in what you're doing. They love feeling like part of your herd, and want to help you out in order to do so! Whether it's carrying groceries while shopping, watering the garden while you weed it, cheering you on in a video game, they'll be happiest when helping you be happy as well!

Alright everybody, Blog Maintenance has been done!!
We decided to wipe out our current asks, since they've all been in there for at least two years, and the only ones left were ones we had trouble answering due to their more serious nature or complicated questions.
understandable!
With that being said, for the first time in SO long, I present to you...
(insert image of bongo furret drum roll here)
Asks are now OPEN!
Send em in and I'll do my best!
Mod Marc :)

Our blog has been on hiatus for quite a while due to the research we put into our asks taking. Alot of energy hahaha. But the resurgence of pokemon blogs has really sparked up my motivation again and inspired me to finally roll up my sleeves and renovate it!
Due to my eyestrain issues, I add small words in coloured text between some paragraphs to help break up my longer textposts. They'll always be in one colour per post as to hopefully not bother others with different eye issues, though!
let's go!

I haven't forgot about making that post by the way!!! I got switched to new meds so my motivation has taken a hit, especially with this heat.
To try and chip away at it, I'm making a list of all Pokemon I think would be inherently good for anxiety, and would love to hear what pokemon you'd suggest?
As every good pokemon expert knows, every individual pokemon has infinite potential and a unique personality! But for this post I'd like to stick to the species who very commonly work well with anxious people, please :)
So yeah, drop pokemon good for anxiety in the replies please! And if one of your suggestions is already there, maybe give that person a like!

We got an equal amount for anxiety and autism, so I'm going to do anxiety first!
This is because I have firsthand experience with anxiety, and I want to be sure to run that post past our autistic mods first to be sure everything is correct! And that means it may take longer.
Stay tuned!
Got through all the non-request posts!!! Gonna take a well deserved sleep now haha
I think tomorrow if I have the spoons, I'll make a general post for one of the more frequent disabilities ive seen requested.
I plan on doing this for all of them, eventually!
But for now, what would you guys want me to make first?
Autism
Adhd
Anxiety
Depression
Insomnia
Again, i hope to tackle all of these and more, so dont stress if something youd like to see isnt up there!
I also want to be sure to tag things by type... Might have to re-tag alot of things from tonight haha

I'm crying with joy at all the Espeon posts. As someone who cherishes Espeon, I appreciate this blog. My little kitty is deaf and I would die for him! We've done contests together, and he can read my thoughts and actions. He doesn't need to hear to know I love him. ❤
Awww! I'm glad we could brighten your day!

hi! I was wondering if you’re still looking for mods?
Yes! Pretty much always haha
I'm not sure if Kat is accepting dms at the moment, but that'd be the way to get in contact if they're open :)

I have two service Pokémon: Chester the Mimikyu and Abigail the Audino. Both have been great at helping with my anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Chester in particular has been helping me get back into creating things; he loves helping me sew, and despite his size he's great for grounding cuddles and hand holding. Abigail is fantastic at preventing attacks. They're both great and I just wanted to share.
Ayyy, what a nice team you all make!
Tip of the trade -
Audino tend to love the ringing of particularly clear bells, such as the handheld sphere ones used for meditation!
Mimikyu like small squares of fabric and pillows to rest/move on, to help them feel more secure about no one seeing under their costume!

Hello! I have had pollen allergies! Could you recommend some Pokémon to stay away from?
Most grass types, bug types, and many fairy types, unfortunately.
These types of pokemon very commonly produce or carry pollen in the wild and when domesticated.
The good news is, though! Bug and fairy types of all kinds that dont rely on pollen for food can simply just be raised in environments without pollen!
And many many grass type breeders have found ways to breed hypoallergenic variants of grass type pokemon!
I'd say the main line to stay away from would be Cutiefly and Ribombee, as their survival and quality of life both depend heavily on their usage of pollen!

I have a tremor that often leaves me with difficulty manipulating small things accurately or quickly, but my furret, Riskyt, has been picking up on this and doing his best to help! it's adorable watching him "help" me do things like type or put on jewelry. it really lifts my spirits when I feel bad about my disability! and yesterday he actually genuinely helped me tie some little bows on an art project of mine! I'm so proud of him.
Riskyt is doing such a good job!!
I'm glad you and him were able to find good friends in each other!
Furret are very fond of trinkets, and small interesting things! If you ever need an easy to lose object well taken care of, such as a lucky pebble or even keys, if you dont have a klefki, furret love to keep things safe by tucking them into the fur on its tail, or even wearing items as accessories!

Duude. My dad's friend had a chemical accident in about the 80's that kinda shot a lot of his brain, mostly his hypothalamus. He's still alive but while he was recovering for /decades/ the dude had to put on sweaters even in the summer to keep warm & aside from the body temp control problem he also lost too much weight. When I saw the service pokemon post my brain went straight to him and a flechinder. That was a nice thought, he loves birds.
Wishing him the best!
Fletchinder are very curious mons, so you have to keep them entertained, but theyre also very fussy about taking care of their loved ones! And being able to take care of them with hugs, or just napping on their lap? That's definitely living the dream for them!
