Ok but consider this:
This is Oliver Stark.
This isn’t Misha Collins, who’d push Destiel at the fandom at every opportunity he got, even when both the show runners and Jensen Ackles said that it would never happen and that Dean was straight.
This is Oliver Stark, who’s head canoned Buck as bi for literal years but never once said so until it was canonically true.
Oliver Stark, who literally deactivated his social media because he didn’t want to accidentally come across as confirming anything and give fans false hope.
Oliver Stark, who is now answering Buddie questions in interviews – questions that ABC has obviously greenlit – and who plays along instead of backtracking when asked about a season 10 Buddie wedding and who admits to crying over Buddie edits and who has read Buddie fanfiction and who admits that there’s chemistry there and that the Buddie fans aren’t wrong. All with a giant smile on his face.
This shift in attitude and approach is insane.
Something is happening.

"I'll have to take you somewhere, soon," Tommy said, pausing to worry Buck's earlobe with his teeth; Buck's hand in his hair tightened, trying to pull him closer, to get more more more. "I'll have to take you somewhere I can show you off. Would you like that, baby boy? You want me to take you somewhere, show everyone how pretty you look when you're begging for it?"

I am honestly so happy with Buck/Tommy. Not because I don't want Buddie endgame anymore - that's still my dream. But because the payoff will be so much richer (and honestly more believable for the casual fan) than if they go from "straight" to bi Buck to Buddie in a few episodes.
And so far, Tommy's character is GREAT! He has chemistry with both Eddie & Buck and based on his delivery of "MY attention?" he seems to be the most aware of the potential for Buddie out of the three of them. So yeah he's gonna take the opportunity to kiss Buck when it's offered (who wouldn't??) and probably a lot more than that and he's gonna be able to walk Buck through this new thing with some confidence so that if/when Buddie does come about, it can be more about the emotions.
They've honestly set him up to potentially be Eddie's queer guru as well - or even just given us someone who Eddie can talk about on screen about Buck, which has been rare in the past. And since Tommy seems aware of the Buck/Eddie of it all from the beginning, I'm hopeful he won't be the love interest who has to put on a brave face while being tossed aside for no reason in favor of the main pairing (a trope I hate) but rather he can be like "yeah I always knew this was coming but I wanted to have some fun in the meantime".
Also now that they confirmed Season 8, I want it to be slowwwww. I want everyone in the 911 universe to be rooting for them before they're even fully aware. I want every fan, not just the tumblr buddie community, to be screaming at their TV "JUST KISS ALREADY" every time Buddie is on screen. And then when they finally do, we can all die happy :) because love is love and these two deserve each other in the best way possible.

personally, I want Buck's best friend to be supportive of his new relationship, and be as excited as Buck is for this new revelation and this new level of self awareness. because Buck and Eddie are best friends before they're anything else, and I think they need to show more of that before they add another point of drama to their dynamic.
Buck and Eddie are incredibly close. having two jealousy episodes back to back like that would muddy that. their relationship isn't built on jealousy and drama. it's built on trust. we just saw some jealousy, and it didn't even get fully resolved in the episode.
they need to come back from that and show how strong their relationship is again before they even consider putting any more drama on their plates.
and besides that, Buck's first same-sex relationship shouldn't be disregarded or ignored. it should be special. Buck and Tommy need to have a relationship before something can come in the middle of it. and, frankly, it would be a disservice to all three characters if this extremely important moment in Buck's life wasn't celebrated by his friends, if someone as important to him as Eddie was sour about this thing that he's excited for.
Buck's first experience with "another dude" should be a positive one. not one that makes his best friend act weird around him. mutual celebration of this moment will bring them closer together. jealousy will create distance. and then that's more that they'll have to overcome to solidify their friendship before they can venture toward anything romantic.
