It feels every time that I tried designing her without a skirt, it didn't quite feel right! Might add more shading onto this later, idk. And don't mind that I gave her Snowgrave eyes, I was playing with ideas.

Since my last post was depressing!! Have some Pokemon Sword and Shield fanart in 2024 Idk I've had the design of Piers as Black Rock Shooter floating around in my sketches for a while and wanted to revisit it. (Does anyone even remember Black Rock Shooter these days??) Anyways- as much as I loved Pokemon: SV, there was something about Pokemon: SwSh that just really captured my imagination. I really loved the characters in that one and still think of them frequently.

As much as I want to keep posting Deltarune fanart, I wanted to balance it out with a bit of a personal one. This piece was a commissioned piece for a baby's room, and contains mother of pearl, opalite, moonstone, synthetic opal, and aura quartz. Those are real beads, and real glitter. It is an extremely important piece to me, and marks the time of my life that I hit my lowest low. For almost two year afterwards, I was unable to draw. TW: Death of a loved one under the readmore.

Mia was my first patron when I decided to try to be an artist full-time. I had very low self esteem at the time; lots of abusive situations in college were telling me I would never be good enough. But Mia believed in me. She commissioned 10 paintings in the total time I had known her, and didn't bat an eye at my prices. She spared no expense and came to me with the most crazy ideas. She also bought a very personal painting I did, saying it was one of the most beautiful things she had seen. This was the last painting she commissioned me to do. It was 2021 and she was having her first baby with her new husband. The future, despite the struggle that was 2020 and 2021, couldn't be brighter for her. I couldn't finish the painting before she had her baby due to my own struggling mental health. But I got it done a couple weeks afterwards. Just to hear nothing from my patron, no matter how many emails I sent. A week later, her sister messaged me. Telling me Mia had passed away suddenly. Leaving her newborn child behind. Instead of delivering a painting to a new family, I delivered it to her funeral. Where it was put in a place of honor for the family to see. Thank you, Mia. Thank you for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself. I will always remember you. I hope to continue to live my dreams, because I know that's what you wanted to see me do. I want to make you proud.

Boy. I have a lot of thoughts. Seven years ago, I was unable to complete a comic project because of a lot of anxiety and, frankly, drawing for the wrong reasons. Now, I drew all of this because it made me happy. It's kind of incredible the difference that makes. I also drew the last two panels first, and had to format it to the rest of the comic as my ideas kept coming. As far as the story goes-- This is half-theory/speculation, half-AU. Theories may be great for deep dive videos and text posts, harder to translate to an entertaining comic. The biggest difference between my personal theories and this comic is I feel like Kris had time to prepare in between making a deal with the devil and the Soul possessing his body. Time to strip their room of personal affects. Time to find the birdcage or find places to stick the Soul. That is to say- I think it's still extremely uncomfortable and not great for them. But they at least had a head's up. I could go on, but I'll leave it there.

Falling into old cycles or even craving them after leaving a relationship. Wanting to fall for old vices because it's what's comfortable. Always thought that the part about "pain and seizure" was definitely worded to mean more than just photosensitivity on purpose. Whether to be spooky, make you uneasy, or have a double meaning. I have a lot more to say, but I'll leave it for the last part.

So I work at a butterfly conservatory as my day job. And we get these beautiful bois called the Cairns Birdwing butterflies (Ornithoptera euphorion). Only the males are this colorful tho; the females are HUGE and brown with the same yellow and red bodies. In August, some fantasy illustrators do the Smaugust challenge where they draw dragons all month and I wanted to throw my hat in the ring. But fairy dragons are a very classic subject and there's only so many ways you can rehash a dragon with butterfly wings. ...So I made the dragon a bit more like an insect. Done with watercolor and prismacolor pencil, with a tiny bit of ink for linework and white gel pen for highlights. Also yes, that is my photo from my job. I managed to get a close up macro shot on my phone!

A better look at my banner art for this blog. I did this about a year ago- I was inspired by crystal prisms and wanted to turn it into a magical supernova. This is part of a series of drawings I did for myself that take place in a magical starry planet full of magical kids, cyberpunk aesthetic, and starry, enchanted forests. That little starry plant was my happy place for a little while. Maybe eventually I'll go back to it. Done with colored pencil with a little bit of inking pen for outline, and white gel pen for highlights.

It’s been over a year since Undertale came out. It’s been almost a year since I started this comic. Markiplier just finished playing the game. And the fandom’s still fairly strong even as hype has gone down. It’s about time I finished this. SO WHAT HAS TAKEN ME SO LONG? Yo dawg since school ended in the spring, I worked two jobs, got married, moved, started actually marketing and selling my work, been reaching my upperclassman art classes, got together a gallery show, went to California for CTNX… Not to mention until two weeks ago, I didn’t even have my own laptop for a while. Mmmm yeah. I hoped somehow I could have been more on top of this. I have been determined to finish the story, since there are as many pages left as I can count on one hand. About that, anyways. I might have to split the next page up to two or three to allow the story to run better. But WOW look at that improvement. Comparing this with the earlier pages it’s… SO much better. I’ve been working hard on bettering myself and my art.
