2) as a proud owner of squishy cup+multitool carabiner+The Knife combo i Agree
3) also: spork. He carries a spork.
4) there isn’t such thing as too much if we’re talking about bunkers being prepared, although do we really wanna break Keith's heart with rotten food and equipment when he returns from space
Keith's desert cabin isn’t all empty. There’s a lot of valid stuff there, besides empty instant ramen packages: papers, books, stuff he most likely stole from the garrison when they weren’t watching; and survival stuff. Night vision goggles, various knives, smaller — for precise cutting, hole punching, and even digging — and bigger, sharper ones, to slash and cut things, including his hair. Screwdrivers, durable ropes, solar panels, he's probably modified his laptop, if he has one, to automatically charge from sun. Old, yet still working, headphones. Old, yet still in good condition, clothes. He’s experienced in survival. He knows how to make things last as long as possible in the hot desert weather. His minimalistic approach isn’t natural, it’s forced at first, and then becomes a habit.
what im saying is: when they discovered Blue, in those pouches of his there most certainly were multitools, flashlights, carabiners, chewing gum, bandaids, some random pills, etc etc
like
a lot of things
he wouldn’t have gone outdoors, accompanying other people, without basic things that he carries with him everywhere anyway

keith, probably in tears, with his headphones on, when shiro left for kerberos mission despite everything: now i know that i cant make you stay. but where’s. your. heart. *inhales* but where’s your——

keith, on the phone, sitting on the toilet and panting: and i thought i was dying, it was tERRIBLE and ugh, im never eating ice cream again. The most explosive shit in my life, seriously, if i ever buy anything dairy again just punch me in the gut, it will be less painful than what's happening right now— [goes on with graphic descriptions of his lactose intolerance and bad consequences]
shiro, on his date with adam, with candles and rose petals, and a ring in his pocket, picked up the call because Keith almost never calls, so he panicked bc thought it was something urgent:
