I made a Hazbin Hotel sideblog, which is @keekeenuggets if anyone wants to follow there. I decided I didn't want to dump it all on this account LOL. My sysmates use that one too, but the written posts are usually going to be mine, I think.
I actually really like Cherri being a "bad influence".
Obviously, we all know she cares about Angel a lot. Everything we've seen of their friendship up to now has been supportive, and she doesn't want to hurt him or something.
But while Angel has been working on opening up and getting clean(?), Cherri hasn't had that opportunity. She tries to fuel his self destructive behaviors, not out of some kind of malice, but because she knows him, and she thinks it'll help. She thinks drugs will help, she thinks partying will help, she wants to help him forget and have fun instead of being miserable all the time.
But that's not what he needs anymore. He's changing for the better in a lot of ways Cherri can't necessarily relate to and doesn't know how to navigate, and it'll just probably take her some time to get to the point where she can switch from being the kind of friend he needed a few months ago to the kind of friend he needs now.
Görkem Şen is a Turkish musician who wanted to create the sounds of electronic music acoustically. His invention, the yaybahar, is a string instrument connected to drums via metal coils that creates a wide variety of otherworldly music.
NO ONE knows how to use thou/thee/thy/thine and i need to see that change if ur going to keep making “talking like a medieval peasant” jokes. /lh
They play the same roles as I/me/my/mine. In modern english, we use “you” for both the subject and the direct object/object of preposition/etc, so it’s difficult to compare “thou” to “you”.
So the trick is this: if you are trying to turn something Olde, first turn every “you” into first-person and then replace it like so:
“I” → “thou”
“Me” → “thee”
“My” → “thy”
“Mine” → “thine”
Let’s suppose we had the sentences “You have a cow. He gave it to you. It is your cow. The cow is yours”.
We could first imagine it in the first person-
“I have a cow. He gave it to me. It is my cow. The cow is mine”.
And then replace it-
“Thou hast a cow. He gave it to thee. It is thy cow. The cow is thine.”
I was unsure about whether or not to post this due to the current fandom climate and then I realized I can do whatever the fuck I want forever and cringe is dead so I shouldn't let a fear of judgement rule over me-
Alas, while this momentary burst of confidence lasts, have this fanart I did for @rubyfoxfyre's wonderful fanfic The Riddle Of Magic, which is hands down one of the best fics I've read in literal years and caused me to binge read nearly 400k words in less than a week
