THE LIFE AND DEATHS OF CHRISTOPHER LEE
The documentary is produced by Canal Cat Films in association with the British Film Institute and Trigger Films and combines archive footage with new interviews, including Harriet Walter, John Landis, Peter Jackson, Joe Dante, Caroline Munro and others, and animations. The actor Peter Serafinowicz narrates it by doing an impression of Lee's voice. The documentary reflects on Christopher Lee's life starting with his aristocratic family roots, his service during World War II, etc. up to his music career as a heavy metal singer. And, of course, it also tells the story of his iconic cinema roles like Dracula, Francisco Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun, Saruman in The Lord of the Rings, etc.
The Life and Deaths of Christopher Lee is currently available for streaming on SBS On Demand in Australia. But it will get a BluRay release later this year or next year. Meanwhile you can support the project on Kickstarter and save yourself a copy.

I've watched the documentary twice now and I highly recommend it to everyone. Although, I was a bit concerned about the idea to resurrect Lee through animation and marionation as the news about this documentary were coming up last autumn. But I think they did a pretty good job on it 👍
