Am I happy RWRB got made into a movie? Yes - Casey deserves all good things and this will certainly benefit their career.
Did I have high expectations for the movie? Not particularly. I’ve been burned by movie adaptations too many times (looking at you Ella Enchanted 👀)
Did I like the movie? Well enough - it had its charm. The casting wasn’t terrible. Some of the straight-from-the-book dialogue was squeal inducing.
But fOR THE LOVE OF GOD if they were going to nix June (rip) they could have at least made Nora and Bea even half as amazing as their book-counterparts. You deserved better ladies.

The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.

I think my favorite small moment in Heartstopper is at the party after Nick finds Charlie again and you can tell he finally feels right.
But then Charlie says he saw Ben and Nick just has this moment of total devastation (like omg give Kit Connor all the awards just for his facial expressions). It’s like he’s afraid Charlie is going to say “Ben apologized and we worked it all out!” right as Nick has finally admitted to himself that all he wants is to be around Charlie and my heart just cannot handle the feelings.
Anyway what’s your favorite random moment?

I am really struggling with the timeline of Colbourne’s life. Make it make sense.
Apparently Lucy and Augusta’s mother were twins? But clearly Augusta’s mother got married and procreated at least what, 4 or 5 years sooner than Lucy? Or is Leonora way older than I think she is?
Colbourne said that he and Lucy got married young (clearly not as young as her sister?) and that her intention was to stay just one final season in London after their wedding. If that’s the case then whatever affair she had with Lennox couldn’t have happened more than a year after their wedding, right? Which means Leo followed within another year…
Then Colbourne said Lucy walked out into the rain not long after Leo was born. Who knows what that means, but say within another year at the most? So is Augusta’s memory of Lucy “often” staying with them in London just remembering that one prolonged stay after she got married before I assume she went to Colbourne’s estate once she was pregnant?
Maybe I’m missing something. Just seems sloppy.
