Very Important AskError Update: Also Involves My Other Comics Too

Okay, so. Here goes. This is something I’ve been thinking for a long time now. I’m sure people have noticed it in certain comments, or responses to certain asks- things like that. Its been mentioned on livestreams, its just been mentioned a lot. And I’ve tried to work through it, but– I knew I couldn’t keep on doing things as I was, and I guess its time to finally say it, so here goes! The truth is, I’m REALLY exhausted, mentally and physically. Three webcomics is a LOT to do alone. And I do mean A LOT. Aftertale, AskError, CPAU… I’m at the end of my rope, mentally. I simply CANNOT continue things at this rate. I’m so burnt out. I’ve been throwing the idea back and forth, but I finally have to say it. AskError is going on a hiatus. And I DO mean, hiatus. This is so I can put almost ALL my focus into Aftertale. Aftertale was my first comic in this fandom at all. I just randomly thought it up, one extremely boring day at work, and came home to start drawing it. Before Aftertale, I had 400ish fans on my tumblr, amassed from years of doing webcomics before hand. Since the beginning of Aftertale, its skyrocketed– just hitting over 43,000 people!!! In less then- um, seven months I think!? Aftertale is also my longest fancomic, over 400 estimated pages (I haven’t counted recently but I’m pretty sure its somewhere near here) and somehow so many people came to love it- its overwhelming and AMAZING how supportive everyone has been. But Aftertale has had some insane things happening in it– and its about to hit the major climax in the story. Everything is about to come together, EVERYTHING I’ve had thought up for months is about to happen. And… I absolutely CANNOT. Screw this up. Aftertale’s ending is in sight. It has a couple more chapters to go, to tie all loose knots, to do the MAJOR scenes I’ve had planned, and I have to throw myself COMPLETELY in mentally to make this HAPPEN. AskError also has some massive things planned for it…. but the simple truth is, I am doing neither comic ANY favors. Especially now, Aftertale NEEDS attention so that I can knock it out of the park with what I got planned. And AskError needs focus too- something I have not been able to give it. AskError has huge plans, but I cannot mentally juggle these two, and the only reason I’ve done it for SO LONG was simply that I loved both too much to halt one. Not only that, the fanbases around both these comics, well, I never wanted to disappoint anyone. But working on both at once? Will only hurt both stories. And as a writer, I simply cannot do that any longer, to myself, and to my stories. I can’t only spend 50% on Error, and 50% on AT. I want to throw my ALL into telling the best story that I can. And I can’t do that. Not as I am right now. And it WILL hurt the stories. I don’t want to disappoint anyone with subpar writing or delivery. I WANT TO MAKE THESE COMICS AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE. I’m well aware how loved Error is, I love that little jerk myself too- his story is important to me and its one I want to tell. But I can’t handle this anymore, and Aftertale HAS to take my upmost attention for the remainder of its story. I feel like I’ve been drowning a while. But I gotta come up for air. – So AskError has to go on Hiatus. Aftertale will take full reign of my attention. What this means, is updates will go UP. This will happen after I return from Texas for my friend’s wedding/the Akon convention. (After June 7th) Once Aftertale finishes, AskError will start back up, and updates will definitely go UP on AskError as well. So, win win for everyone! – I really hope everyone can understand. I love Error. I love AskError, I love AskError’s story, I LOVE responding to asks and being so involved with you guys, but if I really loved them, I have to do them right. And I can’t, under this pressure. I love you all very much. I hope this is alright. Thank you so much. You’re all the best. It hurts a little bit, to have to write this. Its like admitting defeat. But… for my sanity, and to keep my writing quality as high as I can get it…. this has to be done. For those who don’t know anything about Aftertale, please check it out here!

Okay so I’m cool with my stuff being posted else where and cool with people voice acting comics and I’m seriously SUPER COOL with all that but I’ve started to notice youtube videos cropping up related to my stuff that do not link to my Tumblr/Patreon/Youtube pages, or honestly, any page of mine. Now, believe it or not, this is currently MAKING MY LIVING and all the attention that can be brought back to the source of my comics (Aka, me) is REALLY important for me to keep this up. If you see videos of speedpaints, or reaction vids, or voice acting, and they don’t link at LEAST my tumblr page, could you please POLITELY inform them to link the source? These comics DO take a lot of time, and as I said, they are currently making my living so, um.
