In this universe, if your soulmate receives a scar, you will receive a permanent tattoo, while if only a bruise occurs, the flower fades accordingly along with the disappearing of the bruise. You can also feel your soulmate's pain while it happens and, if you can master the art, you can halve their pain, taking half of the pain for yourself. This art is called Pain Sharing. And, finally, if and when the bond is sealed, only two tattoos remain: the first one and the one your mate initiates on you to seal the bond. The tattoos you and your soulbond share are of the same flower, of the same shade of color. Finding your soulmate is not easy, but not impossible.
