A/N: Hello, lovely! Thank you for your request, I apologize that it has taken a while to get to you, I appreciate your patience!
Luck finds you when you’re anxious
There was something about the nighttime that always made your thoughts run wild. Maybe it was the innate fear of the dark, the fear that had kept humans alive for ages, but the night made it so easy to feel anxious. It wasn't as if you had nothing to be anxious about, there was a squad mission starting in the morning and it was one where if one wrong step was made, someone could be lost.
Sighing, you made your way up to the roof; your thoughts were always so much clearer up here. The anxious feeling didn't leave, so you hugged your knees to your chest and looked up at the stars. Anxiety wasn't a new feeling for you, but sometimes this job, this way of life got to you and you needed a break.

Luck couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, specifically that something was bothering you. He checked room after room of the hideout but you were nowhere to be found.He was remarkable when it came to sensing mana and the emotions that came along with it but you were better at masking your presence when you were overwhelmed than the average person.
Finally, he checked your room and seeing your curtains blowing in the draft from the window he had confirmation of where you were.

You jumped a little when he suddenly appeared next to you, but relaxed into his touch when he lightly placed a hand on your shoulder.
"How did you know I was up here?" You asked.
Luck smiled, "You're more predictable than you'd like to believe Y/N."
You scoffed, "Maybe to you, freak of nature."
This earned a laugh, a loud, glorious laugh from the man you loved, Luck Voltia.
"Maybe, but I'm your freak of nature."
There was a break in the silence, filled with the rustling of the wind in the trees.
"What’s eating at you tonight, Y/N?" He asked.
You narrowed your eyes, trying to put your feelings into words.
"I guess… I guess I'm just nervous for tomorrow. What if we get separated or what if we lose or what if---"
You were cut off by Luck scrambling to sit facing you and gently grabbing your hand.
"Y/N, dwelling on the what-ifs serves no one. For most things, we won't know until we get there. But I can tell you one thing for certain, I will always find you. No matter the storm, no matter the circumstances, I will always search for you."
It was an odd moment of seriousness from Luck, and you were inclined to believe his words.
He squeezed your hand and you leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.
"Thank you."
"Always."

We go to the same college and are trying to get home for the holiday break, but our flights got cancelled so we’re road tripping it together; when we finally get there, we realize that the friend you’re visiting is actually my sibling who was plotting to set us up, but their work is already done now
