The days are mellowing down, as I am nearing the finals. Although i can't say the days are not exhausting because of the heatwave.

Today I have attended the placement training and the good news is that it's not at all as bad as i thought it would be. It was pretty chill and I'm so grateful for that otherwise i would be in my bathroom, crying and questioning myself and everything else. So yay, that didn't happen!

Today I came home from college early in the afternoon. I ate pizza, read webtoon, took a 2 hr nap, and watched friends. I am now at peace. And that should be an enough recharge for until next week <3

I am not going to complain about the heat again. But there is literally nothing else to talk about because it is absolutely killing me. The heat is all there is in my life right now. The sweat, the tan and the sun burns, three things I hate, hate and hate. <3
Well I can't complaining about it everyday of my life until I move out of this sweat hell of a place right? you bet on the heat, I wil.

Today has been very uncertain and scorching hot. It's literally 41°C outside and I'm absolutely losing it. Today wasn't the best but I'm hanging on. I don't think I performed well in one of the quizzes I wrote today and that has been really getting to me.
I have been socialising a lot lately which is both good and bad. Good because I feel good right after and bad because if i didn't I'd feel down. So I'm trying to make peace with that.

Hello,
It's been a while.
I am currently in my 6th semester. Almost at the end of it and it has been chill so far but now that I'm around finals, the works have been piling up. There are so many quizzes, assignments, lab records, etc to get done AND on top of that i have placements training coming up right before finals. The sad news is that it's on Sundays and i literally have no holidays for two weeks straight, not until the 1st of May.
So I'm just planning on posting until May 1st and make this process easier for myself. And how?
Efficiency - Completing the tasks as fast and early as possible
Look for ways to enjoy each day
Reminders - keeping in mind that I'm almost at the end of the sem
Posting here! It's like therapy to me <3

I'm currently playing this game "Harvest town" on my phone and it's my favourite. It's an alternative to stardew valley (bc I'm a broke college student). It's not only the money that I can't afford but also time and I'd feel really guilty for not spending enough time on the game if i brought it.

It's all fun and games until they get hit by repercussions like a truck.
i wish depriving yourself of food and sleep wasn't seen as fun and quirky. like listen man i get it, you tell people how little you survive on and they go "omg you're crazy how are you standing!!" and you feel cool and special. but it's not worth it dude. sleep more than 4 hours before class. have more for breakfast than a single coffee. please.

This is so important. That's the reason why I never try to do those "50 books a year" challenges. The point is to read. Not stack up the rack. This article by Natasha MH perfectly sums up the importance of "quality over quantity" (ps it's one of my favourite articles on the internet)
i don't care how tall your book stack is.
while most people automatically assume someone with a large book collection is well read, the thing they tend to forget is that it's not about the amount of books you've read or how quickly you can read.
no, it's about how much of it you actually understood, the time you spent with the information you read, to fully digest it instead of trying to plow through as many books in a year only to end up grasping the surface level of it all.

In May 1906, Boltzmann's deteriorating mental condition described in a letter by the Dean as "a serious form of neurasthenia" forced him to resign his position, and his symptoms indicate he experienced what would today be diagnosed as bipolar disorder. Four months later he died by suicide on 5 September 1906, by hanging himself while on vacation with his wife and daughter in Duino, near Trieste (then Austria).

Bitches love to be like "science sucks where are the eldritch horrors where is the knowledge thats maddening to know" that's thermodynamics motherfucker. The first two world experts in thermodynamics (Ludwig Boltzmann and Paul Ehrenfest) both killed themselves because they had to do fucking thermodynamics

Some fresh advice for y'all in college to start off the new semester!
Sleep. Sleep will let you function better, be in a better mood, get sick less often, etc
Eat. Fuel your body and mind. Eating helps with your brain fog and focus. Calories are just the energy you are putting into your body and the more you do, the more energy you need.
Find a why for every class. Why are you taking this class? And no just to graduate isn't always a good enough why to keep you motivated. Will you use that physics class? Maybe not, but it can help explain how the world works around you, makes your brain work out, all that stuff.
Take time for you. You are the most important aspect of your life. Great yourself as a priority.
Listen to your body. Please
Take a little time every day to study. Even an hour is a good amount of time. 1% better every day is still better than before.
Don't buy textbooks until after the first week or two of class. You won't need the textbooks for most classes, they just have to say they have a required text book.
Be social. Join a club. Go to events. Be a college student!
Make a schedule. Having a schedule with flexibility built in will make things less stressful in the long run.
Move your body every day if you can. Stretch. Go for a walk. Do yoga. Whatever you like. Taking time to just be present with your body and no distractions or pressures, you can reduce stress and recollect yourself. It's essentially moving meditation when done in depth and without any distractions.
Try out several study methods. Different topics may require different study tools. Flashcards probably won't work for every topic.
Make a budget. Try to save when you can, even if it's $1 every 2 weeks.
You will probably be in a new area. Take time to explore. Find some dive bars. Hiking trails. A cute cafe.
Brush and floss. Teeth are so expensive to fix later on. Take care of them now please. Don't wait for that $10,000 dentist bill for a tooth replacement.
Start hobbies. Let them fall off if they no longer interest you. A lot of times, you have temporary needs that a hobby will fulfill during that time. Your hobbies aren't your identity. And you are fluid. It's ok to change.
Explore your style, interests, food tastes, social structures, etc. This is a time of limbo basically. Have fun and figure yourself out.
Talk to your teachers. You'll probably need reference letters later on. Go to office hours. Ask questions in class. Make sure your teachers know who you are.

I know it's been a while. And by "while" i mean it's been more than a year or two. Who's to blame? me. Call it procrastination or just me being busy with life. A lot has happened since i started my college.
So here are a few updates:
Currently in my 4th sem. Times are moving really fast and slow.
Turns out I'm really good at giving presentations and so i got an S grade in two courses. thx to genes bc apparently my mom and dad are exceptional in public speaking.
*drum rolll* i got 9.2 gpa in my 3rd sem. WHAT? bc that's literally impossible (or atleast that's what I thought *insert low self-esteem noises*)
I have made friends. ok specifically one friend but she has like tons of friends. so now i have tons of friends? fun right? wrong. i have mixed feelings. But let me tell you feeling excluded is one of the worst feelings. So, dealing with that!
We're hitting books again! i was in a huge reading slump because of 'The Atlas Six' by Olive Blake (I'm sorry to people who liked the book) it was just not my cup of tea. I currently am reading 'Six of crows' Really enjoying that!
ok I'm really excited for this one! i am currently working on one of my favourite hobbies. I am soon going to talk about it here. Stay tuned!! i think you guys might like it!
