When Marinette is texting Alya telling her to laugh at Chat Noir’s jokes to make him happy, that’s still Ladynoir, because she’s thinking about her relationship with Chat Noir as Ladybug.

Ladynoir has the strongest and most developed relationship of the lovesquare. Ladynoir is the side that’s best friends. Ladynoir is the side where they’re comfortable enough with each other to playfully roast each other and disagree with each other and get mad at each other and then easily come back from that and talk about it because they so openly love each other. Ladynoir is the side that already behaves like a real couple. That best friendship that they formed as Ladynoir? The deep trust and casual affection and petnames and banter? That stays when the masks come off. They’re still going to be doing that when they’re an old married couple. The things they went through together as Ladynoir are why they can understand each other in ways no one else can. And they didn’t get any of that from Adrienette. That’s all Ladynoir. The masks aren’t what makes Ladynoir. The bond they formed as Ladynoir will last their whole lives.
