A rare glance at my day job! Heart of Rock and Roll opened on Broadway this weekend and here are some of my fave costume illustrations I drew during pre-production for costume designer Jen Caprio.
All told I did about 400 something sketches for this show between pattern options, color changes, and different looks!

Lords of the Wing Fashion Plates
Thank you to Aabria Iyengar @quiddie, Emily Axford, Lou Wilson for some of my favorite d10 characters: the cousins Chirp and Squak.
A Court of Fey and Flowers is one of my favorite @dimension20official seasons so I’ve been meaning to take my own stab at designing Regency inspired looks based on the brilliant character art of @faithschaffer
Also inspired by classic fashion plate engravings, the Victoria Crown Pigeon, and Secretary Bird of course.

I want Gideon Nav to have a little bit of pudge that Harrow a) thinks is really hot (she is indeed correct), and b) keeps nurturing by ordering desserts she hates but knows Gideon loves and that in their post-trauma life she always gets when they go on cute dates

The Freelancer
Winter has always been a slow season for me— mix that with seasonal depression and around this time every year I end up worrying myself sick that work is going to dry up forever (despite all evidence and history to the contrary, of course)
While wallowing I got to thinking about the “free lance” knights roaming the countryside trying to find someone to do kill with for cash and if they would relate to the artists who took up their name. Do y’all think the folks on horseback ever considered going corporate or had imposter syndrome?
Anyway! Tried to do something different, little more lighthearted, scribbly, crafty to shake off some of the thoughts and this was the result.

Concepts for Cohort Uniforms as modeled by the Second House Scion Judith Deuteros
I’m a costume designer by trade and the problem of how to design an entire military wing of a disco for a necromancer society in space was just too tempting to pass up. I took inspiration from modern US navy, regency era naval officers, sci-fi space suits, and bones.
Anything red on Jody would be the house color for whatever soldier wore it, rough examples in the third image.
At Canaan, Marta and Judith would both wear the top middle which is designated for OF 3-6 (lieutenants commander, captains, etc.) though Jody has the “cursory” necro robe because I couldn’t resist.
Jody would have been 14 when she last wore the red junior division uniforms m (but I didn’t want to draw a new model lol) and the blue is also what Isaac and Jeannemary would have worn prior to Canaan. This is because the thought of child soldiers in little naval capes makes me cry so it felt right.

Daggerheart NDA is over! Here’s my boy from the character creation playtest— Perseverance of Vigarten. (Y’all I will take ANY excuse to design a new TTRPG character and Daggerheart character creation is FUN)
They are a Highborne Faerie Wizard, school of Knowledge. He embroiders his spells into long strips of fabric (and sometimes his own clothing when space is tight)! Can’t wait to take him for a spin.
