hi! i lovedddd reading your nate/jules fic, do you have any idea when you’re going to update it? also do you know if you’re gonna write anymore nate/jules fics or if there are any other fics of them? he is so horrible and i don’t really ship them but the dynamic with them fascinates me because there are so many questions i have with what nate feels for her. i feel like you got their dynamic really well, thanks!
i do have a draft done for the next chapter. i try to get it done today or tomorrow but no promises lol.
i think i will write new fics with jules/nate. not because i ship them, i just find their dynamic interesting and i like the characters even though i don’t like what they (read: nate) do.
and thank you, i love hearing that people are enjoying my fics <33

Why do you ship Jules and Nate? đŸ€ą They are so toxic and Nate is super abusive towards her. Disgusting to write fanfics about them
maybe don’t read it then..? also just for the record i DO NOT ship them. i don’t ship nate with anyone. i like writing about them, because i like the characters. the fact that i like the characters doesn’t mean that i like/agree with what they do

Cassie x Nate - It Was Fun!
Tumblr media
a fic requested by anon: "An au where maddy didn’t go to the bathroom ex. say there was another bathroom anything I think it would be interesting to see the aftermath if they didn’t get interrupted and Cassie guilt and stuff:)"
Characters: Cassie Howard, Nate Jacobs, Maddy Perez
Words: 1556
Also posted on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/36467173
It Was Fun!
Cassie’s heart was racing. Nate’s touch lingered on her skin after he pulled back. She let her head fall back against the door and she closed her eyes. Her mind wasn’t so cloudy anymore. Cassie tried to focus on the fun tingly feeling that was washing over her, instead of the reality of what she had just done.
Hooking up at parties was always fun. Cassie loved the sneaking around and listening to the party on the background. It had been fun to walk here with Nate. Careful not to attract too much attention but being out in the open. It was exciting. Cassie liked it when boys were comfortable walking with her publicly. Even if it was played as being nothing more than friends.
“Will you fuck him again?” Nate asked right after he got his jeans zipped up. He leaned against the counter, smiling like a champion.
“What?” Cassie breathed out. She hadn’t expected that. Her dress wasn’t even back on yet.
“McKay. He’s around,” Nate said like this was just a mundane interaction. It was like what had just happened was just a dream.
“He is?” Cassie’s heat dropped to her stomach. She hadn’t seen McKay since she broke things off with him. She knew that he was angry with her. Cassie had never seen him looking as beaten as he had on that night. She hated how much she had hurt him. She missed him so much it hurt.
“Are you gonna have sex with him?” Nate asked again. This time it was more demanding. There was something condescending about the way he said it. Like this was a fun game.
“I-, I don’t know. Why would you ask that?” Cassie tried to pull her dress back up. It had gotten tangled. She heard how a seam ripped when she first tried to get it up. Fuck. The dress seemed to be fine though.
“Jeez Cassie no reason to get so heated. It’s just a question,” Nate had laughter in his voice. Cassie wondered was she getting heated. She didn’t feel that way. Nate was sitting on the bathroom countertop, picking his nails like there were no worries in the world.
“I think I need to clean up,” Cassie said when she was dressed again. She felt like it had taken too long. It probably had. She had had a few too many. Cassie didn’t even remember how many drinks she had had. She had had some cider when she was getting ready with Lexi. Then vodka in her car. Lexi had gotten so upset about it. It was no big deal. How many had Nate offered her?
“No one’s stopping you.” Nate tapped his heel against the cabinet doors and spread his legs just a little bit wider. His jeans tightened and Cassie looked away. She liked Nate and he had been so nice all night, but he was acting like such a jerk now. Boys always did. They were gentle and fun and soft and charming until they got inside of her. Everyone was like that. Everyone but McKay. Cassie knew that leaving him had been the right decision. She didn’t deserve someone as good as he was. But she missed him.
“Can you move?”  Cassie wanted to get done with this. Leave before someone came knocking down the door.
Nate got up slowly, like this was a major inconvenience for him. Cassie was annoyed, but she didn’t say anything. She knew how he was. Nate just liked to mess with people. Maybe that was why she was attracted to him. Because he didn’t care about what people thought of him. McKay cared, sometimes too much. He let people push him around. His dad, his college friends, Nate.
Cassie went through the cabinets to find wet wipes, paper, anything. She wouldn’t touch the towels hanging on the rack. God knows what people had wiped to them. Her dress was all messed up, she had cum all over her thighs and legs. Nate really had trusted that last second pull-out. Cassie couldn’t remember had she taken her birth control pill this morning.
Nate stared at her when she cleaned herself. She didn’t hurry or try to hide, even though she felt ashamed. He had already seen everything. Everyone had seen everything anyway. It wan’t like her body was hers only. She was so fucking stupid. Cassie would be dead if anyone found out. Especially Maddy. But when Nate smiled at her it made her feel bubbly. Dumb fucking whore.
“Are you going to tell Maddy?” Cassie asked. The thought of Maddy finding out had come to her mind one too many times. She would never forgive her.
“Are you?” Nate asked back and continued after Cassie shrugged: “I wouldn’t recommend it. Maddy’s a one crazy bitch.”
“She’s just-, fiery, you know. I thought you liked that about her.” Cassie didn’t like it when people bad mouthed Maddy. She got a lot crap for no reason. They just wanted to have fun and some people treated them like they were trash. Cassie wondered was she one of those people now.
Cassie had had a good time with Nate tonight. She had felt so free when she had leaned out of the window when Nate had been speeding up. It had been refreshing. She had spent so much time trying to be as good as she could. Cassie had missed this. Getting stupid drunk and messing with people who she should stay away from. It was fun! Cassie wanted to be fun again. Now she was just sad, all the time.
“Don’t pull that face. It’s okay, Cass,” Nate said. He sounded compassionate. Cassie smiled at him, mostly to make him feel better. She wasn’t feeling very smiley or cheery anymore.
Nate left after Cassie said that they should not show up at the same time. He had halfheartedly called her smart which made her feel dumber than ever. He had given her a kiss on the head too. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. Cassie looked herself on the mirror. One of the rhinestones she had on her face had fallen off. Her face was unsymmetrical now. She hated it. She scratched off one of the rhinestones on her other eye and let it fall to the sink. Her makeup didn’t look as sleek anymore, but that was okay.
Cassie stood there for a while, just looking at herself. She was beautiful, she knew that. She had been told. Cassie just couldn't see it. Maybe it was because she was rotten inside. She was scared that people could see that. How ugly she was underneath her skin. The lump in her throat got bigger. She didn't want to be a bad person. But she probably was. At least now, after what she had done.
Someone banged on the door. Rapid hits.
“Open the fucking door, I need to pee!”
Maddy. Shit.
The banging continued and got louder. Maddy would probably keep going until the lock gave in. It didn’t seem very sturdy to begin with. Cassie took a deep breath before opening the door. She could keep her cool. She could. Of course, she could.
Maddy’s face lit up when she saw Cassie. She jumped to her arms, happy as ever. Weight dropped from Cassie’s shoulders. She didn’t know. Not yet.
“I thought you skipped the party! I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” Maddy said and pushed Cassie back into the bathroom and locked the door again: “Can you hold my phone? I really need pee.”
Cassie took the phone and sat to the edge of the tub. She lied about feeling sick earlier. Maddy didn’t question it. She talked about some corny producer guy she had danced with, but Cassie couldn’t focus on the story. She was staring at the used wet wiped on the floor that she hadn’t cleaned out. Those would be someone else’s problem now.
“You okay? Please don’t say that you have to puke.” Maddy grimace, but she looked like she was worried.
“I think I just need to drink more, to be honest. I’m getting the lows now.” That wasn’t exactly a lie. She wasn’t feeling very euphoric right now.
Maddy laughed and promised that they would fix that problem together. Cassie told her to use the wet wipes on the counter, when Maddy cursed the lack of toilet paper. They complained together about the animals who left their trash on the floor and kicked it to the side. Maddy washed her hands for ages and then focused on making sure that her make-up was still flawless. She didn’t notice Cassie going through her recent notifications on the lock screen.
Nothing from Nate yet. His photo was still as her wallpaper. His eyes pierced through Cassie’s soul. What had she done? She was such a horrible friend. She would have never forgiven Maddy if she had done the same with McKay. And McKay would never forgive her if he found out. Cassie was in deep waters.
Maddy smiled when Cassie gave her the phone back. She fished for a compliment and spun around after getting them. She laughed when she almost tripped on bathroom rug. Maddy was so happy. Cassie wanted to be happy as well. All she wanted was to just be happy.
