My MASH claim to fame is that my aunt and uncle were friends with Larry Linville’s wife Deborah Guydon, and according to my uncle they once went out to dinner with her and she brought her husband Larry along, as one does sometimes. Anyway my uncle was sitting across from him and was gobsmacked the whole dinner because he had of course watched MASH and this was Frank Burns right in front of him, y’know?
And at one point, about halfway through dinner, Larry Linville leaned over and said “I know exactly what you’re thinking right now.”
And my uncle was like “you do??”
And Larry said “You’re thinking that this guy across from me has been in my living room more often than I have”
