Bonnie being hope mother would have made way more sense then what they decided on doing honestly bonnie not having children of her own is ridiculous yet not surprising

Bonnie would have been perfect as Hope’s mother. She’s from the strongest witch bloodline and is an incredibly powerful witch herself. It would have made complete sense as to why Hope gained both werewolf and witch gene. Also it would have aided in explaining why the supernatural world would fear Hope’s existence. The most powerful Bennett witch and The Original Hybrid having a child together would understandably shake up the supernatural world. Bonnie was one of the very few female characters on TVD that expressed her desires for wanting to have a family.

But of course the writers decided to let her be alone forever and be the last of the Bennett line. While other female characters who’ve never expressed wanting motherhood had it forced upon them.

The first born witch thing was created to strictly make hope exist there's literally nothing there for them to make claims that makes them Superior over the Bennetts If there was Esther wouldn't have had to Harness magic from the Bennetts to even make her kids originals she would have done it with her family line if they was soo power which they ain't we seen in canon they haven't done anything to top what the Bennetts have accomplished bonnie herself could kill a original without the white Oak stake and make her own Dimensions how can they claim hope could top that when there's nothing she could do at this point that could

The writers tried so hard to discredit the Bennetts and their involvement in creating quite literally every major supernatural phenomenon. They had Hope sit there and claim Esther was the creator of dark magic when the spell she used to create Vamperism was a rip off of Qetsiyah’s immortality spell.

They wanted Hope to be this feared all powerful being born from equally powerful bloodlines, so their scapegoat was claiming that being born first from a witch bloodline is meaningful in some way. Even though Esther’s bloodline is shown to be significantly weaker in both shows and her only achievement is leeching off the Bennetts.

All this about Hope being the almighty tribrid who was a danger to the entire supernatural world, created nonsensical lore to hype up this idea, only for them to severely drop the ball and have Legacies be a complete and utter joke is what’s most funny to me. Out of all four seasons, not one moment made me think all that setup TO was worth it. Hope fans constantly compare her to Bonnie, yet when you ask them to list feats that are on par with Bonnie stopping hellfire, creating a dimension from a single scream, being able to control a seemingly uncontrollable power such as expression, almost killed an original, all they can do is shout how Hope is a tribrid and that automatically means she’s stronger.

One of the reasons why the “First born witch” thing, Dahlia, and Inadu were created was to give Hope more legitimacy as a witch through Klaus and Hayley. Esther stole spells and siphoned another bloodline’s magic. She couldn’t even create her own fertility spell. People argue that her magic was strong enough to pass to Hope, despite Klaus not being a born a witch himself. Only two out of seven of her children were born with the capability to practice magic.

Dahlia, Freya, and Inadu were created to explain away why a mainly werewolf child is able to be born a witch despite neither of her parents being one. Inadu was specifically created to give Hayley, and by proxy Hope, a strong connection to witchcraft and prop up the Labonair bloodline.

If they weren’t so heavily invested in pushing for Hope to be this almighty witch hybrid who’s destined to be the destroyer of all witches, they could have explored more of her wolf lineage and her connection to two of the most prominent packs. TO only mentioned the North East Atlantic Pack in two episodes and they completely abandoned the Crescents after two seasons. In Legacies neither are mentioned whatsoever.
