Patch Update v1.106.124 - April 16th, 2024

(Sorry for the delay in getting this out....)

Welcome to another patch day!!!

Earlier today, EA released the pre-patch for the upcoming Kits, Urban Homage and Party Essentials, which should also include many Laundry List fixes as well. Most times, we don't see kit updates to be hugely damaging to mods, but given the eventful patch we had last month, it is possible that even the smallest change could end up breaking things more than we expected.

On the side of caution:

BACKUP ALL YOUR SAVES AND REMOVE YOUR MODS (THIS INCLUDES CUSTOM CONTENT) UNTIL CREATORS HAVE CONFIRMED UPDATES OR CLEARED FOR THE PATCH.

! UPDATE YOUR GAME! You can delay your patch by turning off automatic updates and putting the Origin/EA App in offline mode until your favourite mods have been confirmed as working or updated. We will, however, only support Version 1.105.345 of the game for up to a week to allow mod creators time to update their mods accordingly. After that, we will insist you update to Version 1.106.124 for further support.

Patch v1.105.345 - March 6th, 2024

EA released another hot-fix update with a number of critical fixes that address the top reported issues after Patch Update 1.105.332. Please Note: Any mod fixes related to the previous issues will need to be removed so make sure you go through all your mods. This patch didn't seem to disable mods so no further mods are expected to be affected but the initial patch broke a large amount of mods due to EA's changing of certain code. This patch has not disabled mods, so no additional mods are expected to be affected. Please remember, though, that the initial patch broke an unanticipated large number of mods due to EA's changing of certain code to correct an older outstanding problem.

This patch is not expected to affect any of Zerbu's mods greatly, aside from the usual mods that need to be updated after patches (such as All Worlds Are Residential or Venue Changes). As updates happen, they will be reported in the ⁠#announcements channel on Zerbu's Discord as well as on my Patreon. Keep an eye out!

Reminder: We will continue to support Zerbu's mods as normal, but while other general support servers continue to remain closed for the time being we will not offer support on other creator's mods. You will need to wait until those mods are either updated, contact the mod creator directly, or the general servers re-open.

**NEWS FLASH** - Game Update!!!

Patch Update v1.105.332 - February 28th, 2024

EA released a hot-fix patch today, to fix a few critical issues from yesterday's patch (February 27th, 2024). It is expected that the update is to help fix a bug causing broken pie-menus linked to having Sims with a high level of singing skill, and a UI correction to stop random flashing of the new cart icon in the upper right of the screen.

This patch did not seem to disable mods, so no additional mods should have been affected by today's hot-fix patch. Keep in mind that the patch from yesterday broke a massive number of mods due to EA's changing certain codes to correct an older "lingering" problem.

The information provided in yesterday's patch update post still applies, aside from the patch notes which will be updated as soon as they become available (I'll be sure to update the Patch notes in this post)

Reminder: We will continue to support Zerbu's mods in Zerbu's Discord, as normal, but while other general support servers remain closed for the time being we will not offer support on other creator's mods. You will need to wait until those mods are either updated, contact the mod creator directly, or the general servers re-open. I'm a little late getting this out, but better late than never.....!!!

Welcome to (what seems to be a very eventful) Patch Day everyone!!!!

EA has released the pre-patch for the upcoming Stuff Pack, Crystal Creations. It appears to have greatly broken popular script mods such as Deaderpool's MCCC, Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions, TurboDriver's Wicked Whims and many others (Zerbu's mods are also likely included in this list).

Due to this, it is suggested to keep your mods folder removed from your game until all creators who have had a chance to update their mods, have confirmed as doing so. While a few of the general support servers have closed their support channels until further notice - such as Deaderpool and Sims After Dark (to allow creators time to update their mods accordingly), Zerbu's Discord will continue to only support Zerbu's mods. Please do not come assuming or expecting help on other creator's mods as it is not a general mod support server.

On the side of caution:

BACK UP ALL YOUR SAVES AND REMOVE YOUR MODS (THIS INCLUDES CUSTOM CONTENT) UNTIL CREATORS HAVE CONFIRMED UPDATES OR CLEARED FOR THE PATCH.

EA just released the pre-patch for the upcoming new kits, Goth Galore and Castle Estate. This patch isn't expected to bring any major changes or gameplay updates so there shouldn't be much damage to most mods, but some "fix mods" could be declared obsolete.

Looks like another patch everyone! EA has just released a new hot-fix patch to take care of some issues that were found since the release of For Rent. Since this patch is not expected to bring any major changes or updates, it's not anticipated to be damaging to most mods. However, some "fix mods" may be declared obsolete by the creators.

Happy US Thanksgiving!!

For many of my Tumblr followers, it is a day of giving thanks. While I celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving in October, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you so much, and let you know how much it means to me. Words can never express how grateful I am for each and every one of you!

I will take today to reflect on those things I am grateful for, even though it is not my holiday but I want to support all of you by doing so!

On a separate topic - Please note that for those of you who are part of Deaderpool's Discord Server public support channels and #patron-mccc-support channel will be closed this Thanksgiving day to allow the support staff to spend the day with their friends and family. It is expected that those channels will re-open sometime on Friday, or possibly Saturday. Chat channels will be open and those who are a Deaderpool Patreon member can request help in the #patron-exception-support channel, but please be aware that you may not get a response right away and we ask that you be patient & understanding and allow our staff the time to spend with their family on this holiday.

Zerbu's Discord Server will remain fully open, as it is not an overly busy server, but we also ask that you be patient in waiting for any response to help. As you all know, the server has a small support team and most of them are celebrating the holiday today so there will be delays in responding. An update for you...

Happy November everyone!!

I wanted to take a moment to give you a quick update on current events. Recently, through no fault of my own, I have become unemployed. While this would normally be looked at as a bad/negative thing, I have come to realize that this could be a great opportunity for other things!

With the time off that I will have, I hope to get some more sim-playing/sim-building in and hope to have a new build available to my Patrons either this month or into early December. I have been (slowly) working on a high school for Zerbu's GTS V5 mod, but haven't had much of a chance to get anything more done to it due to RL. Now I will have some time to focus a little more on Sims and getting out some content to my followers & supporters!

I also plan to work on some other venues/homes, but one step at a time! If there is anything specific that you would like to see on my page for content, please let me know as I'm always open to suggestions and ideas.

EA released a new patch in preparation for the Modern Luxe and Poolside Splash Kits. This patch doesn't seem to be bringing any major changes to gameplay so it's not expected to have much impact on most mods. Still, follow the below steps to take the necessary precautions.

Hmm, that is a good question. I don't think I have a favorite really. I have honestly, never played any of the townie families myself. But if I were to choose, I would have to say the Landgraab family, because they seem to be the legacies of the game :)

Game Update - Patch v1.99.264 - June 18th, 2023

EA has released a new update for the game, in preparation for the new Horse Ranch EP which is releasing on July 20th, 2023.

BACKUP ALL YOUR SAVES AND REMOVE YOUR MODS (THIS INCLUDES CUSTOM CONTENT) UNTIL CREATORS HAVE CONFIRMED UPDATES OR CLEARED FOR THE PATCH.

! UPDATE YOUR GAME ! It is extremely common for expansion packs to cause major mod breakage. You can delay your patch by turning off automatic updates and put Origin in offline mode, until your favorite mods have been confirmed as working or updated. We will, however, only support Version 1.98.158 of the game for up to a week to allow mod creators time to update their mods accordingly. After that, we will insist that you update to Version 1.99.264 for further support.

Any issues regarding mod breakage should be posted in the mod-support channel for Zerbu's general mods and mod-constructor-support channel for MC4/MC5. Be sure to post in the right channel to avoid any confusion or miscommunication for the support staff.

Current Status of Zerbu's Mods: Unknown - Updates will be announced as the info is provided. Check the announcements channel for updates as per usual.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not tag Zerbu for any mod-related issues or "is it updated/going to be updated" inquiries. The support staff is here to help in any way that we can and if we need to engage Zerbu on any matter, we will be sure to do so. Deaderpool’s Discord Ban Appeals (updated)

Banned from Deaderpool’s Discord? Here's what you need to know! Deaderpool is the Creator of MCCC, and I believe that is a large enough project for him to maintain. I’ve administered his Discord server since its beginning, almost seven years ago.

Deaderpool is not a server Admin, and he has NOTHING to do with bans, or appeals. The Support Team handles all of that, ON DISCORD. You’re wasting your time, and his, and ours, if you’re trying to get around me and the team by contacting him (or us) on other platforms such as Patreon, Tumblr, Twitter, etc.

The only place to find support for MC Command Center is on Discord.

When you join Deaderpool’s Discord, we advise, and expect, you to read our #server-info channel as part of your “Verify for Support” process, which is outlined in the server’s START HERE! section. We have this membership requirement included in SEVERAL of the first pages/areas you see, even before you join the server properly.

We even ask you in most of our announcement posts to please review #server-info, BEFORE you approach us in support. We can easily tell who has not done so, by the nature of the questions you ask, and the files you drop, among other things.

That we will ban players for either leaving the server to remove certain roles or for having certain types of NSFW mods is CLEARLY documented, in #server-info. It is YOUR responsibility to know what mods and custom content you have in your game, and it is up to you to not show us anything that we tell you we can ban you for having… because I assure you, we will do it, to ensure our team's safety and well-being.

Other ban reasons include: Being rude or impatient with our volunteer support staff Not listening to or following our directions Trolling …and so on.

Ban appeals are handled ON DISCORD ONLY, so we can gather the proper information from you, related to the account(s) you are asking us to unban.

We’re doing you a favor by spending the time it takes to interpret your errors for you. Treating us badly is not a good idea. We’re not going to allow you to remain on the server if you can’t be reasonable and treat us with respect… and this includes being willing to read and follow our rules.

If you are not banned, expecting individual support via DM is unreasonable, on a server hosting over 85,000+ people. Server Info is the equivalent of a website’s FAQ section, it is there to bring you up to speed quickly on several major points of interest and information you will need, to ensure everyone has the best possible experience when you visit us for support, or for any other objective.
