This is my cross-stitching magnum opis: a recreation of the comic panel where Hellcat (aka Blorbo from my comics) makes her first appearance! I spent MONTHS working on this and I'm so happy it's finally finished.
(Ignore the crappy framing job. It was difficult because the project is an awkward size.)
This is the original panel, for reference:

So I've made a lot of cross-stitch projects that I don't display, and until recently I've been keeping them in a shoebox. I didn't really like the idea of just having them stuffed in a box, so I had the idea of putting them in an album. I found an old album in a thrift store that worked pretty well.

A while ago I reblogged a post about Antique Pattern Library. While browsing the site I found a PDF of an old French cross-stitching book, and I decided to recreate the cover for my album.

(I'm still trying to figure out the best way to attach it.)

This is my baby blanket that my grandma made for me. As you can see, I literally loved it to pieces. It was sitting in storage in this condition at my mom's for the past couple decades or so. The back had come off and the batting was pretty shredded.
Since it was so important to me as a kid I decided to take it out and try to restore it.

And here's the result! Luckily the front was still in pretty good condition, it just needed a wash. But I replaced the back, the batting and the binding (which I've never done before, so it's a little wonky in the corners). I'm so glad I was able to give my bunny blankie a new life.

K so not to be dramatic or anything, but there's a free vintage French pattern book available on antiquepatternlibrary so if you like to crochet/weave/make pixel art/tie epic friendship bracelets don't walk- RUN.
It has scenes from aesop's fables! Cherubs doing things! Beheadings! Greek muses! Little farm people! Intricate floral pattern! Goth stained-glass window like patterns! Fun little corner pieces! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee

I've been attempting to make plushies lately, and I'm still getting the hang of it (this poor girl is understuffed so her head is all squishy 😭) This is a cat from a Simplicity pattern, but I'm pretending it's a squirrel so I can name her Tippy-Toe.

Cross-stitched my favorite scene from Invader Zim. Please ignore the terrible framing. Shortly after I took this photo I tried to reframe it but the glass broke. 😩

Made a pattern by @shitpostsampler ! I changed it to look like my mom's cat since I'm going to give this to her for her birthday (my mom, not the cat).

My first attempt at non-cross stitch embroidery. It’s mostly just back stitching. Might try something a little more complex in the future.

I recently re-watched Kid Gorgeous and was inspired to make these cross-stiches. I haven’t decided how to finish them yet.
Pattern for Leonard Bernstein font found here. I used this pattern for the Bread font. (I can’t find the original source; if you know it, please let me know.)
