When people ask how I’m doing and I can’t say well I went from painting beautiful cottages and relaxing beaches to painting bones and dismal scenes because I don’t want to end up back in grippy socks 🤷🏼♀️
Love that AFTG is from Neil's POV. If it was from Andrew's POV it would have been this dramatic slow burn/unrequited love story about Andrew balancing his feelings for the new kid with his past trauma while said new kid is utterly oblivious to it. Also exy is there. And the mafia. But instead we see it from Neil's POV who gives the same level of importance to his mob boss serial killer father who is after to him to exy and to Andrew. One chapter is like "graphic description of Neil being tortured by the mafia" then the next is "Andrew and Neil have a homoerotically charged conversation on the roof" and then the next is "the Foxes play a game of exy" and every single one is treated with the same degree of respect because that's just what Neil's like. Amazing.
Biden is not Bernie but no one is going to take your radical leftist card away from you because you’re celebrating an actual fascist losing in an election.
We usually remember our loved ones fondly once they have passed. Time reminds us of the things we loved about them and lets us forget the arguments and faults.
I would like it if some of my loved ones would hurry up and become a happy memory instead of a current rascist, hateful son of a bitch.
why do grooms get one boring black jacket and brides get the most jawdropping gowns ever like when i get married i want pearls and lace and a train is that too much to ask??
In the Earth Kingdom, the bodies of the dead are buried. All people come from the earth, and when they die, they are returned to it. A marker is placed in the newly-disturbed soil, so mourners know where their loved one was laid to rest.
In the Water Tribes, the bodies of the dead are given to the sea. The ocean gives to the people, and when they die, they give themselves back. Some call it a cycle of birth and death, but the Water Tribes know it’s a continuous process of living.
In the Fire Nation, the bodies of the dead are burned. The people are born with fire in their souls, and when they die, that fire consumes their bodies. The burning is overseen by the family of the deceased, and it is considered the height of disrespect to leave a body to rot.
Among the Air Nomads, the bodies of the dead are left to the sky. The spirit is where a person lives, and when they die, their body is an empty shell. The Fire Nation warriors didn’t know it, but when they left the slaughtered bodies of the Air Nomads on the ground where they died, they honored them just as they would have wanted.
Hey so the trolley problem is dumb because the real person at fault for any of the deaths is the person who designed the trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who put in the purchase order for a trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who approved a PO for a trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who delivered a trolley without an emergency braking system, the organization that inspected and certified a trolley without an emergency braking system, and the operator who did not make a huge stink about being assigned to a trolley without an emergency braking system.
Whether you pull the lever is irrelevant, because a whoooole mess of people fucked up for you to be in that hypothetical situation.
Seriously, like, as a professional engineer, I find the premise of the trolley problem offensive. Cause like, so many safety regulations have been violated that it's just... insane.
