Maybe you will never get back to the person you used to be.
But maybe that is okay. Maybe that is something to celebrate. something to embrace, because who you were is a version of yourself that exists in the past. A version of yourself that didn't go through the heartbreak or the hardship; a version of yourself that did not have to navigate all of the ways in which life was trying to weather it. Who you were is a version of yourself that didn't have to fight their way out of the dark, that didn't have to deal with the things that caused change to crack within the soul of you - and those things transform a human being.
Maybe you will never be reintroduced to that version of yourself. Maybe you will never get back to who you were. Maybe that version of yourself has evolved, has grown, into who you were meant to be at this moment in time. Maybe you have to lay down that expectation, maybe you have to release that comparison, and instead, maybe you have to trust in the lessons, and the ways in which the world has asked you to stretch towards your becoming. Maybe you have to stop looking backwards.
Molting is the process by which a snake routinely casts off its skin to facilitate new growth, and sometimes life forces you to do the same. Sometimes, life challenges you to shed relationships, and ideals, and the old versions of yourself that no longer serve you. So when you feel like you are not the same person, when you feel like you have unraveled, like you have evolved into someone you do not recognize, maybe that is something to honor. You have transitioned, you have transformed, and life will ask you to do so time and time again as you journey through it. Do not fear your evolution. Claim it.

and that's the funny thing. we keep wishing away the present moment because we have big dreams we're waiting to see happen, but one day, after you get that grandiose thing you've been wanting for a long time , you're soon going to start desiring the next thing. and you're gonna look back at time with nostalgia. You're gonna say "wow i had no idea what was coming for me, i wish i complained a little less & trusted a whole lot more." the beauty you think is absent in your life, is happening now all around you.

How often do we not even attempt something because we are afraid to look bad or fail immediately?
The fear of failing is often something that holds people back from putting in the work they would need to become truly great at something, but it can also take another, more insid- ious form. Once we have established something new in our lives, this fear can come up as a constant irrational worry that we're "missing something".
These catastrophic thoughts happen when we want to shield ourselves from potential loss. They only up when we finally have something we care enough and really want to keep.

You're going to realize it one day-that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a relationship. Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you; it was never about being like the others. One day, you're going to see it-that happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go. Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself; it was always about embracing the person you were becoming. One day, you will understand that happiness was always about learning how to live with yourself, that your happiness was never in the hands of others. It was always about you.🪻

relatable!?
taylor swift is actually for the girls who were known but never popular, fit in with many friend groups but never in the group chats, talked to at school but never invited to the parties, for the girls who have friends but still feel lonely because they were never their best friends favorites

Tara may come off as a manic pixie dream girl who saves the male protagonist from himself, but she is so much more. She has a nuanced personality and demands to be heard and comprehended. What I find most fascinating about her is that she doesn't mind not having answers to all of her questions and prefers to wait for what she wants even if it takes time. She never stops looking for more.

It's okay if you don't know what you are looking for yet. Perhaps the clouds, if they could feel, would feel the same. Floating, moving, constantly diffused-it must be tiring.
It's okay if you don't know where to go yet. The water in the river don't know either. Not being able to go back or fight the current or change your track is not your fault. Sometimes we throw ourselves in life but other times life throws us.
It's okay if you get lost-we all get there. In this big, dark world, how could we not? In this infinite universe inside us, how could we not? But let me tell you it's okay, not because I know how to live, but because I don't want you to stop trying.

When you go out into the woods and you look at different trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, some straight, some are green and some are not.And you look at the tree and you see why it is the way it is.You sort of understand that it didn't get enough light or whatever so it turned that way.And you don't get all emotional about it.You just allow it.You appreciate the tree.

This quote always stays with me
We waste so much energy trying to cover up who we are when beneath every attitude is the want to be loved, and beneath every anger is a wound to be healed and beneath every sadness is the fear that there will not be enough time.
When we hesitate in being direct, we unknowingly slip something on, some added layer of protection that keeps us from feeling the world, and often that thin covering is the beginning of a loneliness which, if not put down, diminishes our chances of joy.
It's like wearing gloves every time we touch something, and then, forgetting we chose to put them on, we complain that nothing feels quite real. Our challenge each day is not to get dressed to face the world but to unglove ourselves so that the doorknob feels cold and the car handle feels wet and the kiss goodbye feels like the lips of another being, soft and unrepeatable.

our existence is finite. And as hard that is to understand,as hard it is to connect with, from time to time remind yourself that in most human way-we are all living on borrowed time.We live as if we are promised the experiences and the potential we are chasing ,we live as if we have control over what happens to us.But we don't ,and this is liberating.
