Fleeting Gazes
Tumblr media
Diluc Ragnvindr (Genshin Impact) x Reader
RATING: Teen
GENRES: Slice-of-Life, Drama(?)
WORD COUNT: 1,264
SUMMARY: You and Diluc share feelings for each other, but neither of you are able to take the first step to confess.
You stare across the room at Diluc's figure expertly working at the bar. It isn't often that he's at the tavern, but you still like to visit Angel's Share whenever you can for the possibility of seeing him. You find it ridiculous that you're behaving like this, criticizing yourself for your actions that almost border on obsessive. It was a simple crush at first which only grew the more that you saw the young tavern owner, and by now, your feelings for Diluc had grown far beyond your control.
You inwardly groan to yourself, burying your face down onto the table out of shame and embarrassment. You shouldn't be acting like this. You're an adult. You need to act appropriately, but you can't stop yourself from acting impulsively based on your desire to see Diluc.
Of course, you know what limits and boundaries you can't cross and make sure to never step out of line, respecting Diluc and his privacy. That's why this tavern is a bit special. It's the only shared connection you have with Diluc who managed to steal your heart the same way he stole countless others before you.
"Damn it..." You murmur to herself, wondering if you should just give up on your feelings for Diluc entirely. He's never shown any romantic interest towards anyone ever, and you highly doubt he would show any towards you at any point in time. Sure enough, you were well acquainted with each other with you being a regular patron at his tavern, but that was all there was to your relationship.
"This sucks," you continue, scrunching your brows together.
"What does?" A familiar voice asks with cheerful curiosity, prompting you to look up. Kaeya grins at you, offering you a small wave in greeting. "You're here again, huh?"
Without even asking, Kaeya pulls out the chair across from where you're sitting and seats himself, joining you, uninvited. The knight props his elbows up onto the table. "You know, I can't help but be curious. You don't drink alcohol at all, yet you still end up coming here anyways. Why is that?"
"They offer non-alcoholic drinks here," You respond.
"And that's precisely my point. You can get most of those drinks just about anywhere else," Kaeya shoots back. "So why choose to come here to Angel's Share in particular?"
"...Do I need to have a reason?" You opt not to answer his question and instead warily ask one of your own.
Kaeya hums. "Mm, I guess not, but I have a feeling you do have a reason, and I suspect... that it has to do with a guy."
"It doesn't," You lie a bit far too hastily.
"Is that so?" The knight questions with his ever present smile, amused to see his friend acting like this. "Then, you wouldn't mind if I were to head on over to the bar and strike up a conversation with Diluc?"
You barely manage to stop yourself from outwardly reacting. "You're free to do whatever you want and talk with whomever you want. Why would I mind it?"
Kaeya casually shrugs his shoulders. "You're right, of course. Then, it should be fine if I happened to bring up to him that a certain someone has been staring at him this whole time."
Your eyes widen. "You wouldn't—"
The knight gives you a challenging smirk and rises from his seat. You watch as he starts to make his way towards the bar, and you panic. You know Kaeya is the type of guy to do just about anything so long as it'll amuse him, and the possibility of him doing what he said he would do is high. You shoot up from your seat and desperately grab Kaeya's arm to stop him from taking another step forward.
"Wait!" You exclaim before realizing that a few nearby patrons were looking at the two of you now out of curiosity. You lower your head to hide from their gazes, and they go back to doing their own thing. You peer up at your friend through your lashes. "Please, Kaeya, wait... I'll do anything you want, so please don't say anything..."
"Really?" Kaeya muses. "Anything at all?"
You nod your head, keeping your eyes to the floor while remaining a hold onto the knight's arm, afraid that he'll continue walking towards the bar to talk with Diluc if you were to let go. Kaeya stares down at you with an amused smile, and he looks over his shoulder to find Diluc's hardened gaze on him. Kaeya bites back a laugh.
Aren't you aware that Diluc has been stealing glances your way this whole time?
"Alright then. In that case..." Kaeya makes a deliberate show of leaning down to whisper into your ear, fully aware of Diluc's eyes on the both of you.
Diluc's expression doesn't show it, but he's rather irritated at how close Kaeya is towards you. You look almost uncomfortable, and Diluc is half-tempted to walk over and disrupt your conversation. He watches as Kaeya whispers something into your ear and is unable to guess as to what exactly you could be talking about. Your expression becomes confused and then relieved before nodding your head. Kaeya's smile widens, and he wraps his arms around your shoulders, the sight of it testing Diluc's patience. Kaeya leads you out of the tavern, but not before looking back over his shoulder to shoot Diluc a teasing smirk, and the tavern owner frowns.
Time continues to pass by, and for the most part, Diluc is able to busy himself with his patrons. As closing hours approach, people begin to trickle out, some drunk and some completely sober. There are only a few patrons left by the time Kaeya re-enters Angel's Share, and Diluc tries not to let his irritation towards the knight show.
Kaeya sits down at the bar, a satisfied look on his face. "You know, sticky honey roast is quite the delight, but it becomes even better when you're in the company of a good friend with them treating you to it."
"What do you want?" Diluc asks, choosing not to respond to the obvious taunt.
Kaeya chuckles. "Oh, no, don't mind me. I was just talking to myself."
"...Hmph."
Kaeya stares at Diluc with a teasing grin before opening his mouth to continue. "Hmmm, you know, they're a really sweet person," he starts. He doesn't need to specify who he's talking about for Diluc to know. "It's hard to believe they aren't in a relationship with anyone yet. Maybe I should take my chances and try picking them up for myself?"
Diluc's eyes narrow. "You..."
"I'm just saying," Kaeya chimes as he waves his hand in a dismissive manner. "Nothing's going to happen if you don't decide to act."
"I don't need you to tell me what to do."
The knight laughs, completely carefree. "Right, right... Well, I've said all that I wanted to say, so I'll be heading back now."
Diluc doesn't bother responding. He watches Kaeya get up and leave, and the moment he's gone, Diluc allows himself to heave a sigh. As annoying as it may be, Kaeya is right. Even though Diluc possesses feelings for you, and even though he suspects you to feel the same way about him, neither of you are acting upon those feelings, meaning nothing will happen between you two if you continue to keep this up. It isn't so much that he's afraid, but rather... he holds doubts as to whether or not things would work out between you.
...He supposes it's worth trying.

Happy Kisses
Tumblr media
Alfonse (Fire Emblem) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 187
SUMMARY: You and Alfonse share a kiss.
You were giggling, unable to stop the happy noises from leaving your lips. Seeing his partner so happy like this, Alfonse couldn't stop from smiling himself, chuckling quietly underneath his breath. You sat comfortably on his lap, almost as if it was only natural for you to sit there. Alfonse had his arms wrapped around your waist, loosely pulling you closer against him.
Your smile reached your eyes, and you carefully took the prince's face into your hands, your touch warm. "I love you, Alfonse," you crooned. "So, so much."
"I love you too, my dearest," Alfonse replied without missing a beat, his expression mirroring yours. "With my whole heart and soul."
You beamed at that, and your smile widened. You leaned down just as Alfonse leaned forward, the two of you meeting in the middle and sharing a kiss. You giggled into the kiss, and you could feel Alfonse smiling against your lips, his arms tightening ever so slightly around your waist.
You both pulled away from each other with a soft and blissful sigh, adoration for the other being the only thing on your faces.

Favouritism
Tumblr media
Diluc Ragnvindr (Genshin Impact) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 265
SUMMARY: Diluc carries you on his back when you struggle to keep up with the group.
NOTE: Reader is not the Traveller.
Aether glances over to you who's struggling to keep up with the rest of the group. He sends you a concerned look, pausing for a second to let you catch up with him. "Do you need to take a break?"
You shake your head from side to side. "I'm a bit tired," you answer, but you don't take Aether up on his offer. Instead, you turn your attention to Diluc. "Diluc, I'm sorry. Can you carry me?"
Diluc sighs as though exasperated, but his expression is far from being annoyed. He doesn't even think twice before crouching down and offering his back to you. "Get on," he tells you.
You beam, and you appreciatively climb on over to his back. Diluc wraps his arms around the back of your knees just as you move to wrap your arms around his neck for support, and he effortlessly lifts you up into the air. You rest yourself comfortably against Diluc's back, his hair tickling your cheeks as you let out a small giggle. Diluc resumes walking, leaving Aether and Paimon to follow after him.
"Wow, I never expected to see Master Diluc offer a piggy back ride!" Paimon comments with her usual cheerful voice.
Aether laughs in response. "Well, it is them, after all. Master Diluc's favouritism towards them is well-known in Mondstadt, apparently."
"..." Diluc provides no commentary of his own. It's not like he can deny it since it's the truth, anyways. He hears you give a quiet laugh behind him, but you don't respond to Aether's comment either, simply nuzzling yourself against Diluc further. It's fine like this.

A Good Dream
Tumblr media
Alfonse (Fire Emblem) x Reader)
RATING: General
GENRES: Hurt/ Comfort/ Fluff
WORD COUNT: 1,121
SUMMARY: Sometimes it feels like your time in Askr is a dream. Alfonse tries to prove to you that it isn't.
Alfonse's footsteps echo in the empty hallway as he heads towards the mess hall to sneak in a quick late night snack. The moment he goes through the doors, he finds a figure clad in darkness sitting at the table closest to him. Not having expected to find anybody here, his thoughts immediately go towards ridiculous conclusions like the one before him is a ghost or something, and he yelps out of instinct.
The figure jumps at the sound of his voice, letting out a short scream of their own. It's only then that Alfonse recognizes the one before him as none other than you, and he places a hand over his chest to calm his racing heart. "You scared me!" He accuses.
"I scared you?! You're the one that suddenly screamed behind me without warning!" you shoot back, equally accusatory.
You stare at one another in silence as you process the situation before huffing and shaking your heads in fond exasperation at both of your unbecoming behaviour. The two of you are a bit more meek now that your fears have subsided, and you both utter out a small but sincere apology to each other. Alfonse glances behind you, finding a small candle placed atop the table beside a mug of what he can only assume to be your preferred drink of choice.
You follow his gaze, note what he's staring at, and then bring your attention back to him. "Do you want some?"
"I can make my own," he answers, but you stop him before he could leave to fix himself a mug.
"Allow me," you insist, and Alfonse has no choice but to relent.
You hum, seemingly satisfied, and you leave him alone for a moment. The prince decides to take a seat and waits for you to return. You had taken your own mug with you, he belatedly notes. He idly wonders to himself if perhaps you had just finished up, in which case, he was probably holding you up. He hears footsteps approaching, prompting him to look up and finds you walking towards him with two mugs in hand. Apparently you had gone to refill yours while you were at it.
"Thanks," he offers his gratitude and accepts the drink. The two of you sit together in silence for a moment, taking occasional sips from your respective mugs before Alfonse decides to break that peace with a concerned question. "Is there something keeping you up?"
You offer a distracted hum. "Mm, I guess." You don't provide any further explanation or insight and instead change the focus to him instead. "Why are you still up?"
Alfonse sighs. "I wanted to get some more training in for the day. I feel as though I'm falling behind the more recently summoned Heroes."
"I promise you, Alfonse, that isn't true at all." You're quick to jump in and offer your thoughts on the matter. "You've been working really hard. I can see that—anybody with eyes can see that—and your efforts show in your accomplishments both on and off the battlefield. You become even more fine of a prince with each passing day."
"I-I, uh... thanks..." He's grateful that the mess hall is so dark. At least this way, you won't be able to see his bashful smile, accompanied by an embarrassed blush that reaches the tip of his ears. He doesn't know if you're truly sincere in your compliments or merely saying what he wants to hear in an attempt to comfort him, but he can't deny that your words made his heart leap in his chest.
Silence stretches over the two of you once again, the atmosphere a bit more awkward than before. The Askran prince glances over towards you. You seem to be staring intently at your half-empty mug. He wants to ask you about what's on your mind, but he knows that you won't share so easily. He knows how difficult it is for you to open up to him, and there's nothing he can do except patiently wait for you for whenever you were ready to share.
To his surprise, you actually speak up and lay out the worries in your heart. "I was remembering my home."
"Do you miss it?" He asks.
You shake your head. "Not really, no," you answer without missing a beat.
A sense of guilt and shame washes over Alfonse when he finds himself relieved at your response. He already understands that you have your own circumstances for not wanting to go back home, and although it's a pitiful kind of sentiment, he can't help but feel kind of happy over it. It would mean that you would be less likely to go back home and leave him alone in Askr, but he knows that such thoughts would be considered greedy and selfish, so he never voices them out loud.
"..." You fall quiet once again. You gather your thoughts one by one before slowly explaining yourself, your gaze not once leaving the mug in your hands. "Sometimes, I wonder if this is all a dream. Like, if I'm really here, or if all of this is really happening. Sometimes, when I go to sleep, I'm scared that when I open my eyes again, I'll wake up in my old bed and go back to the life I had before coming here to Askr."
You stop talking after that, allowing him a moment to let your words sink in. The moment they do, he reaches out to hold your hand, prompting you to look up at him with inquisitive eyes. "How does my hand feel to you?"
You bring your gaze down to the hand over yours. "It... feels warm..." you answer with a tinge of embarrassment.
"Then it's proof that you're here. That warmth is proof that this—" Alfonse squeezes your hand to emphasize his point, "—is real." Without even realizing it, he ends up leaning closer towards you. "This is real..." he repeats, bringing his voice down to a whisper, making what he says seem far more intimate. "...If it wasn't, then I would have been dreaming a very good dream ever since you came here."
Your breath catches in your throat, and you can't find the words to respond. Your cheeks become pink, and you avert your gaze. Even though Alfonse shouldn't be able to see your expression well because of the dark (the candle does little to light the scene), you still feel compelled to hide your face.
"Does this feel like a dream to you?" Alfonse questions.
You hesitate, still trying to collect yourself. "Sometimes, yes... but... as you said, it is a very good dream... and I wouldn't mind living in it for longer..."

A Smile and a Gift
Tumblr media
Diluc Ragnvindr (Genshin Impact) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 329
SUMMARY: Diluc gives you roses as a gift.
He had heard that you loved roses. It wasn't that Diluc had deliberately gone out of his way to get some for you after being made aware of this fact, but when he was passing by a flower shop and caught sight of the red roses on display, he was suddenly reminded of you. He ended up buying a small bundle of them then and there with the intention of gifting them the next time he saw you.
"Here," was all Diluc had to say as he held the bundle of roses out for you to take.
You blinked once in surprise, carefully taking the roses into your hands. "For me...?" You asked, wondering if perhaps you were misunderstanding the man's intention.
"Yes," he answered and added nothing else, giving a short nod of his head. Why did he feel so awkward and embarrassed over something as simple as giving a gift to someone? It wasn't like this was his first time offering gifts to others. With his position and standing in Mondstadt, Diluc wasn't new to the idea of giving items out of goodwill and courtesy or as tokens of appreciation. So why was it that this in particular made him feel so nervous?
You seemed a bit taken aback at the idea of being given a gift, but your expression soon warmed as you inspected the roses closer. "They're so beautiful," you breathed out, your cheeks holding a pinkish hue as you gently held the flowers close to your chest. "Thank you so much... I love them."
Diluc wasn't expecting you to make such a loving and warm expression, so soft and different from the usual ones he usually sees you wearing, and his breath hitched for a moment. He felt a blush creep up onto his cheeks, and he awkwardly cleared his throat, crossing his arms over his chest as he turned his head away in an attempt to hide his face.
"Yes, well... I'm glad."

Take a Break
Tumblr media
Alfonse (Fire Emblem) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 301
SUMMARY: You're frustrated with your art, and Alfonse suggests you take a break from it.
You groaned to yourself, slamming your sketchbook shut and haphazardly threw it across the table alongside your pencil. You threw your head back in frustration, pressing the heels of your palms against your closed eyes.
"Ugh, I hate this! I suck at art and everything else that I do!" You yelled out into the empty air, hoping to get your insecurities out of your system.
Alfonse, who was sitting beside you while reading a book, turned his head to face you with a look of sympathy. "Calm down, my love. You know that isn't true."
You sighed, allowing your arms to flop down listlessly by your side, your head still tilted back as you stared blankly at the ceiling above you. "I know," you breathed out. "I know that, but still. I can't help but feel that way. I know I'll get over these feelings eventually, but it still sucks."
"Maybe you should take a break," Alfonse suggested.
You groaned once more, closing your eyes shut. "Maybe. But I don't know what else to do. I need other hobbies, ugh." You then sighed for the umpteenth time, opening your eyes and turned to face Alfonse with a childishly pleading expression.
"Can I have a hug...?"
Alfonse smiled warmly at you, not even hesitating for a second as he put his book away and stretched out his arms for you. You were quick to climb onto his lap (much to his embarrassment) and nestle yourself comfortably against his chest. You could hear Alfonse laughing quietly underneath his breath as he wrapped his arms around you and held you tight.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find your confidence again soon, but for now, just take your time to focus on yourself and doing things that make you happy at the moment, okay?"
"Mkay..."

Endearing
Tumblr media
Kallian Antiqua (Xenoblade Chronicles) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 468
SUMMARY: Kallian admires your expression before sharing a kiss with you.
"You're staring quite intensely, you know." Kallian's gentle voice breaks you out of your thoughts. He turns his head to look at you, a soft smile on his face.
"I wasn't staring," you retort. "I was admiring the view."
Your attempt at hiding your embarrassment at having been caught makes Kallian laugh, the warm sound making your heart skip a beat. He subtly tilts his head to the side, his smile not once leaving his features. "I brought you up here as it's one of the only places where you can see all of Alcamoth in its splendor. I thought you would like the view, but instead, you choose to stare at my face."
Your cheeks glow with a pinkish hue, and you puff your cheeks into a small pout. It isn't obvious, but you can still tell that he's teasing you. "I can't help it since you have such a pretty face..."
Kallian chuckles. "If we're talking about pretty faces, I personally find yours to be quite charming."
You furrow your brows, but your eyes are unable to hide your bashful joy from his compliment. "You're teasing me," you accuse.
"I'm not," he responds, but the playful and light lilt of his voice says otherwise. Kallian turns fully to face you now, and he slowly approaches you, lessening the distance between the two of you. He cradles your cheek with one hand, his touch gentle and comforting. The two of you lock eyes, and Kallian can't help but let out another small laugh. "That expression of yours never fails to fill my heart with joy," he comments.
"What expression?"
"Like you're happy but don't want to make it obvious, so you try to look angry instead," Kallian clarifies. "It's a rather cute expression, and it makes me want to tease you."
"You're horrible," you note, but of course, you both know that you don't mean it.
Kallian laughs once more. He finds himself smiling and laughing more around you. It feels refreshing. He traces the curve of your jaw with his fingertips before cupping your chin. He carefully tilts your head back, prompting your breath to hitch for a moment at the deep look in Kallian's eyes. He leans down, slow and purposeful, and you understand his intention.
You close your eyes and lean forward, meeting his lips halfway. Kallian's lips are soft, warm, and gentle. The way he kisses you, so full of love, makes you melt against him. Kallian pulls away with a quiet sigh of bliss, and he takes a moment to stare at your face. He enjoys your embarrassed face quite a bit, but this one... with your eyes so radiant that they emphasize the glow of your cheeks and small, bashful smile... He can't help but find it incredibly endearing as well.

Consideration
Tumblr media
SilverAsh (Arknights) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 193
SUMMARY: SilverAsh finds you asleep at your desk.
SilverAsh knocked on the door and was confused when he received no response. When he had asked around, the other Operators told him that you would be in the office, finishing up some paperwork. SilverAsh knocked again, but was met with silence once more. He decided to open the door and peer inside. His eyes instantly landed on the figure lying on the desk.
Closing the door behind him, SilverAsh approached you, who had fallen asleep at the desk, your pen still loosely held in hand. The man could only assume that you had planned to simply close your eyes for a little while, only to end up taking a much needed but unintended nap. This wouldn't be the first time this happened, in truth.
SilverAsh stared at your slumbering face, and unable to hold himself back, he reached out and gently brushed aside your hair. You didn't stir, meaning you must have been in a much deeper sleep than he anticipated. Not wanting to disturb your rest, SilverAsh decided against waking you up. Whatever business he had with you could wait, and he would much rather give her this moment of respite.

Fatigue and Respite
Tumblr media
Kallian Antiqua (Xenoblade Chronicles) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 211
SUMMARY: Kallian notices that you're tired and suggests you rest.
You exhaled a deep and heavy sigh as you fell back onto the bed, your arms stretched out on either side of you as she stared up at the ceiling. You heard Kallian's soft laughter as he approached, taking a seat at the edge of the bed by your side. You sighed once more, closing her eyes while appreciating the prince's warm company.
"That's the umpteenth time you've sighed in the past hour," Kallian noted, a soft and sympathetic look on his face. He reached out and brushed your cheek with the back of his fingers. "You sound exhausted."
You hummed in acknowledgment. "Mm, I guess...? I really don't know... I just... feel so tired. Like my body and mind just want to sleep."
"Then rest," Kallian suggested, his fingers carefully tucking carding through your hair, the action helping you relax. "It looks like it's something you desperately need."
"Definitely," you breathed out, the fatigue obvious in your voice. You turn your head to nuzzle your cheek against Kallian's lingering hand. "Rest with me," you whisper, almost pleading. "I'll be able to rest better with you by my side."
The prince nods his head and tenderly strokes your cheek once more. "Very well. I suppose I can use some rest myself."

Adoring Care
Tumblr media
Alfonse (Fire Emblem) x Reader
RATING: Teen
GENRES: Fluff/ Hurt/ Comfort
WORD COUNT: 407
SUMMARY: You accidentally cut yourself with a knife while cooking, and Alfonse is concerned over your injury.
You hiss sharply, your brows knitting together as you immediately set the knife down. You're quick to wash the fresh wound and retrieve a clean rag to press against your finger. It doesn't necessarily hurt, but it's still more than enough to make you wince in discomfort. You shift your weight to one foot, lamenting your luck.
"Ah, Summoner—!" While they might not have seen, the other Heroes in charge of kitchen duty can easily surmise what happened, judging by your state and rush over to your side. "We'll take over things from here. Please go and rest and continue to apply pressure."
Although a bit disgruntled and embarrassed at having bothered the others by your blunder, you graciously take them up on their kind offer and leave the kitchen to not get in the way. You've barely taken a step forward when Alfonse calls your name, coming down from the halls to check up on you and greet you. His eyes fall upon the rag you're pressing around your finger, and concern crosses over his features.
"What happened?" He asks, trying to inspect the wound from where he is, not wanting to intrude on your personal space. He knows how defensive you can get whenever you're hurt and tries to respect your boundaries.
"I, uh... was a bit dumb and accidentally cut myself with the knife," you answer rather straightforwardly, if not a bit hesitantly out of fear that he would judge you for being so careless.
"Does it hurt?" The prince questions further.
You shake your head. "It doesn't really hurt, but it's... a bit uncomfortable, I guess?" You give a weak and feeble laugh. "I'm just a bit shaky right now because it was bleeding a bit, and uh... yeah, well, you know how it is."
Alfonse nods his head, offering his sympathies. You don't deal well with blood, especially seeing your own. As such, you're always careful in making sure you doesn't get any cuts. Other injuries are a bit more tolerable, but anything that breaks the skin and makes you bleed is too much for you.
"Well, I'm glad you're okay for the most part," Alfonse says, carefully reaching out to stroke your cheek with his palm as a small gesture of comfort. "I hate seeing you hurt or in pain."
You break out into a smile, leaning further into the prince's touch. "Thank you..." you breathe out. "For caring about me."

A Little Jealousy
Tumblr media
Alfonse (Fire Emblem) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 558
SUMMARY: Alfonse gets jealous of how friendly the other Heroes are with you.
Alfonse always prided himself in being a calm and rational man who made judgments based on logic and reason rather than emotion. As the one next in line for the throne, he needed to be impartial and not let his feelings get the better of him. ...But this wasn't something he could just brush aside so easily.
He watched with irritation barely visible on his face as the more flirtatious of the Heroes crowded around you, the Summoner, showering you with frivolous words of love and attention. Alfonse tried desperately to ignore it at first, knowing full well that you weren't someone he could just monopolize, especially after considering your important role within the ranks of the Order. And yet... it irked him. The Askran prince was peeved that so many men and women alike would be so overly friendly with you. Then again, it was better that they be friendly rather than spiteful, but this was just too much. Alfonse had enough.
He stormed up to the group and muttered a quick excuse about how he needed to talk to you about something before taking your wrist in his hand and dragging you away. You trailed behind him, stumbling as you struggled to keep up, a sense of dread filling you that perhaps you did something to upset the young man.
The moment the two of you were alone, Alfonse immediately let go and ran a hand through his hair, letting out an aggravated sigh. You flinched, and you bowed your head low, your shoulders rising up in defense. "I'm sorry..." you whispered, uncertain for what exactly you were apologizing for but nevertheless felt it necessary to say.
Alfonse turned around to face you, confusion on his face towards your apology before his features turned to one of realization and then guilt. "No, you didn't do anything wrong," he tried to assure you. "I'm not mad at you, I promise. I'm just... I'm just frustrated with myself."
"About what?" You questioned with a confused tilt of your head.
"It's... Well, I..." Alfonse struggled to find the words, huffing in a frustrated manner as he ran his hand through his hair once more. "I hate how jealous I get whenever I see somebody else acting all friendly with you. I know that it's not like I can keep you all to myself, but it's just... It makes me feel inadequate, somehow."
"Oh..." you breathed out, finally understanding why Alfonse was behaving the way he was. You found yourself smiling, feeling oddly touched that he would love you to that extent to feel that way. You stepped closer to the Askran prince and gently took his hands. You sighed, lessening the distance between you both even further as you laid your head against his shoulder.
"Alfonse... I'm yours," you reminded him. "No matter whoever or however many people are friendly towards me, you're the only one in my heart. You're the only one I love like this. My heart is yours. Everything that I am is yours and yours alone."
Alfonse stared at you for a while, unable to speak. He squeezed your hands, and you squeezed back in return. The prince smiled at you, and he nuzzled his cheek against yours. "You belong to me," he whispered a reaffirmation.
"Mm-hmm. I belong to you and no one else."

GENRES: Fluff/ Drama(?)
WORD COUNT: 441
SUMMARY: You like the rain. Líf likes it too for a specific reason.
Líf watches on with a melancholic look on his face as you stare out the window, seemingly in a daze. It's raining outside with the sky a dark grey, but despite the gloomy appearance of the world right now, you seem rather calm and content.
The former general of the dead knows full well how much you love the rain. If he closes his eyes, he can still remember those precious times in which the iteration of yourself from his world would mischievously pull him out into the rain with child-like glee to play around in. He remembers the moments in which he would kiss you underneath the pouring rain and feel you melt against him.
Perhaps it's because he longed to see that smile once more that he approaches you, gently taking you by the hand. You pull your eyes away from the window to look at him with a questioning tilt of your head. Líf doesn't say anything, merely giving your hand a small tug, wordlessly prompting you to follow him.
Surprisingly enough, the castle is mostly quiet, many of the inhabitants having locked themselves away in their rooms or are otherwise scattered quietly throughout various places around the castle. Líf leads you outside with nothing to shield the both of you from the rain.
"Líf—?!" You're confused by his behaviour.
He doesn't say anything, continuing to drag you along until you both arrive at your favourite spot—the garden. He turns to face you, the two of you getting more and more soaked from the downpour, but it seems like neither of you particularly mind it. You stare up at him, half-expecting an explanation. He doesn't provide one. Instead, he takes your face into his hands and leans down to gently rest his forehead against yours.
"Líf, what's wrong?" You whisper in the small space between you two, feeling concerned for him.
"Nothing," he answers. "I simply thought that you might... enjoy being out here."
You peer up at him, your eyes searching his face for any hidden meaning behind his words and actions, but you aren't able to find any. "...I do," you answer him, a small but genuine smile upon your lips. "I... really like the rain. It's extremely calming. It feels like the whole world just stops, and everything goes quiet."
You pause for a moment.
"What about you?" You ask, curious. "Do you like the rain?"
"...In a way," Líf answers vaguely. "...I suppose I do."
Though his reasons for liking the gloomy weather isn't as poetic as yours. He likes it only simply because it can make you, the one he loves, smile.

Dance Styles
Tumblr media
[HC] Jade and Floyd Leech’s Dance Styles
Going by the dialogue in Floyd’s Ceremonial Robes Vignette and Jade’s Birthday Boy Vignette, it’s implied that they’re used to attending formal affairs, so I like to headcanon them having learned how to do things like ballroom dances similar to the land’s waltz and such, but because obviously underwater is different than that of land, I started thinking of headcanons on how their dances underwater might be like, and how it might affect their dance style on land.
Because they’re underwater, movements are obviously slower, so the gestures tend to be wider and more exaggerated. There’s a heavy focus on fluidity, and in particular, there are more hand movements than feet (fin) movement, as opposed to the land’s focus on steps.
In terms of “moves”, there are lots of twists, turns, bends, rolls, etc. Anything that involves arcs or “spirals” (Basically something relatively similar to this video)
Now, I imagine these kinds of things to have “carried over” for the tweels when they go on land.
Floyd’s dancing tends to be very exaggerated and “inconsiderate” (i.e. he takes up a lot of space for wider motions) and thus tends to bump into/ hit others more. He exerts the same amount of energy he used to while dancing underwater, but because there’s no water to “hold him down”/ “slow his movement”, his dancing might seem “energetic” and fun to others.
Jade, in particular, has a very fluid style of dancing. While it did take him some time to get used to dancing with feet and learning the steps, his turns and the like are exquisite. If he’s dancing with a partner, it doesn’t matter how bad they are at dancing—whenever he twirls them around or dips them, it is done beautifully and gracefully.

Goodbye to the New Year
Tumblr media
Líf (Fire Emblem) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Hurt/ Comfort
WORD COUNT: 879
SUMMARY: Líf comforts you in the New Year.
You smile faintly to yourself from the sidelines as you watch the Order of Heroes celebrate the upcoming New Year. Most of the Heroes are cheerful and excited to welcome in the new year, while some feel melancholic and nostalgic as they look back upon the previous one. The energy is high amongst the people, but you can't find it within yourself to join in the celebration. Careful not to be seen by anyone and disturb everybody's celebrations, you quietly slip away from the crowd and festivities.
You aimlessly wander around the castle, your mind full of thoughts. You can't put into words what you feel right now. A heavy weight is settled deep within your chest, and you struggle to shake it away. It isn't that you necessarily dislike the idea of the New Year, but you aren't particularly excited for it either. If anything, all you feel right now is regret. So much and yet so little has happened in this year, and you chide yourself for not doing better.
You had tried. You really did. You wanted to become a better person this year, but rather than taking steps forward, it feels as though you've taken several steps back instead. With the New Year just around the corner, you're reminded of the fact that time waits for no one. The world continues to turn, time passing by without pause, and you feel as though time has stopped for you. That you're stuck where you are right now while everybody else moves forward in life.
You exhale a deep and heavy sigh as you stop walking in the middle of the empty hallway. You crouch down to the floor and hug your legs, burying your face in between your knees. You feel like you want to cry, but you try not to. You would feel pathetic if you did.
You don't know how long you've stayed there like that, but eventually, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching you. They stop just in front of you, and you slowly lift your head to find Líf standing there. He doesn't say a word and merely offers his hand out to you.
You don a wry smile but graciously accept his hand anyways. Líf gently pulls you back up to your feet, and you mumble a short word of thanks. Silence stretches out between you two, making you start to feel a bit more uncomfortable.
"Aren't you going to join the others at the party?" You ask, hoping to make things feel less awkward between you two.
"No. I simply wished to make sure you were okay," Líf answers in a soft voice, the love he feels for you making itself known.
"Of course I'm okay," you reply a tad bit too quickly in an attempt to hide your feelings. "Why wouldn't I be?"
Líf stares down at you, and rather than responding, he reaches a hand out to tenderly cup your cheek. His touch is so gentle that it makes you forget the sensation of his cold and hard armour. You close your eyes, appreciating the sense of security that washes over you at the loving and caring touch. Líf continues to stare at you, his thumb idly caressing the skin of your cheek.
"...Thank you for getting through another year," Líf says, and his words make your heart shake. "I know that it's been hard for you, but you did well. Thank you for not giving up and for being here."
You take a shuddering breath. You can feel tears starting to form in the corner of your eyes, and you clench your eyes shut even tighter to stop them from falling. Your hands ball into fists, and you bring them up to your chest as if to guard your heart.
"Was it...enough?" You wonder out loud. "Was it really enough?"
"Yes," Líf tells you without an ounce of hesitation. "It was more than enough. You managed to live through another year despite your thoughts telling you to throw it all away."
You struggled significantly this year. Your mental and emotional health had been hit really hard, and you constantly fought with yourself and the demons inside your head to get through another day. Every day was a battle, and it wore you down. To have your efforts overcoming your internal conflict acknowledged and even praised by someone else hit you harder than you thought it would have.
Unable to stop yourself, you choke back a sob, and you bring your head down to bury your face into your hands. Líf wraps his arms around your frame and pulls you close. His embrace is a great solace to you, keeping your loneliness at bay. You continue to cry quietly, even as the fireworks and cheers to ring in the new year resound in the air.
The past year was hard. It was really hard, but you got through it.
You got through it.
You'll worry and think about the new year later, but for now, you will allow yourself this small moment to cry about the year you had to live through while listening to Líf's soothing words of reassurance.
It will be okay. The next year may be just as hard, but it will be okay.

Decisions Made
Tumblr media
Tartaglia | Childe (Genshin Impact) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 445
SUMMARY: Being part of the Fatui may not be so bad with Childe around.
It had been some time since you became a member of the Fatui. Despite the disdain that the people of Teyvat held against such a questionable organization, you didn't particularly care about that. Although it was true that you possessed your own doubts about the Fatui's methods and goals, you had your own personal reasons for joining them. It may be that nobody would ever understand your reasons, but that was just fine. When everything was all said and done, all that mattered to you and your ambition was the end goal.
It took a while, but you managed to go up the ranks within the organization. The more recognized you became amongst your peers, the more you uncovered certain truths and lies within them, but you knew better than to pry. Signora and the rest of the Harbingers were far greater than you, and you had enough wit and self-awareness to know which lines not to cross lest you wish to get on their bad side.
"You're new here, right? It's nice to meet you!"
Surprisingly, however, despite your efforts to steer clear of the upper echelon of the Fatui, it was the Harbinger, Childe, who came to you and offered his greetings first. You were wary of him at first, keeping your interactions to the barest minimum and maintaining a sense of emotional distance from him. You had no idea what he had in mind by talking with you.
"Hmm, well, to put it simply, I'm interested in you," Childe confessed with a grin.
You were left speechless and in disbelief at his words, and yet you still couldn't stop yourself from asking, "Why?"
The man's smile widened, and he casually rested his hands on the back of his head. "You seem strong and capable, but it looks like you're striving for a further goal. I'm curious to know what it is that drives you to try so hard."
Something about his words struck a chord within you. It almost sounded as if... he understood. You decided to take your chances with him and let your guard down. "Well, if you stick around long enough, you might find out."
Since then, you've wondered if perhaps you should have kept your mouth shut. As if accepting your words as a challenge, Childe stayed by your side, through thick and thin, and along the way found his way into your heart. And now, as he kept his arms wrapped around your waist and kissed you as if you were the only thing in the entire world, you once again conclude that your decision to join the Fatui may not have been so bad after all.

Diluc Ragnvindr (Genshin Impact) x Reader
RATING: Explicit
GENRES: Smut
WORD COUNT: 697
SUMMARY: You want more from Diluc.
Diluc peers down at your figure underneath him, a warm smile and slightly flushed cheeks upon his face. Your back is turned towards him, and he holds you by the waist, keeping a firm grasp on you as he helps keep you propped up on your knees. He shifts ever so slightly to readjust himself, and he revels in the whimper that leaves your lips when you feel the way he feels inside you, his thick cock rubbing against your walls. Diluc can't help but exhale a short laugh, finding your response to the movement endearing.
He lets out another sigh, tightening his hold on you as he begins to thrust his hips. He pushes himself in and out of you in a rhythmic pace, the bed underneath you both creaking in tandem. His thrusts are strong, driving himself deep inside you over and over again. You end up moaning shamelessly each time, your fingers curling against the sheets. Your wanton moans merely spur him on further.
"Do you have any idea how beautiful you sound..." Diluc asks breathlessly, a punctuated grunt leaving his throat after a particularly deep and strong push of his hips. "...when you make those noises? So good... so lovely..."
His grip on you becomes stronger, and he speeds up the pace of his thrusts. Another moan is coaxed out of you, a shiverrunning down your spine from his praise, his voice deep and low. Your fingers clutch desperately onto the bedsheets, trying to ground yourself from the dizzying pleasure of Diluc fucking you mercilessly from behind. You can't help but whine as you collapse onto the bed, using your forearms to support your weight with Diluc still holding your ass up in the air.
"Diluc..." you manage to crack out, unable to stop yourself from pushing yourself back to meet with his hips, the lewd slapping of wet skin upon skin nearly stripping you of your senses. "Diluc, please—"
"What is it?" He asks, chuckling underneath his breath when you cut yourself off with a loud and broken gasp when he gives a particular sharp thrust, his cock hitting you at just the right spot.
"More," you answer him, begging and crying for him, desperately moving your body in time with his. "Please, I want more—"
You miss the way Diluc bites down on his lower lip, a dangerous and primal glint flashing behind his eyes. Seeing you so needy for him only turns him on even more, and he has every intention to give in to your pleads. He will give you everything you want and more.

Masks
Tumblr media
Six | Seox (Granblue Fantasy) x Reader
RATING: General
GENRES: Hurt/ Comfort
WORD COUNT: 697
SUMMARY: You tell Seox you want to buy a mask to hide your face, and he replies with something sincere.
"Say, Seox? If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your mask?" You suddenly ask the Eternal in the middle of your conversation, your fingers tracing the rim of your cup. "Or, if you'd prefer not to answer, do you have any recommendations on where I can get a nice mask for myself?"
Before he decides to answer you, Seox chooses to ask his own question. "Why?"
"Well, because I'm ugly," you tell him without missing a beat. "I don't really like my face, so I wanted to try wearing a mask to hide it." You answer him in a surprisingly even tone. Your expression carries a hint of melancholy, and Seox can see that you aren't lying to him or trying to come up with some kind of excuse.
"...You aren't ugly," he replies after a moment's pause, his voice unwavering.
"Huh?"
"You aren't ugly," Seox repeats himself, his words just as firm as before. He frowns behind his mask. "Why would you say such a thing?"
You casually shrug your shoulders. "Because it's the truth?"
Seox's frown deepens. He tries to think of something to say to try to cheer you up and get your thoughts away from such a negative mindset, but it's difficult. He doesn't know what he should say in these types of situations. These kinds of things are better suited for somebody more cheerful or wise like Seofon or Anre.
"I... don't think there's any reason for you to hide your face," Seox answers slowly, trying to choose his words carefully. "You... have a very pretty face," he continues, sounding extremely awkward and embarrassed.
You shoot him a look of disbelief at his compliment, and the erune sighs heavily. He presses on. "Your face... I'm sure the crew has already grown accustomed to seeing it. They would be saddened if you were to suddenly start hiding it."
"Would they?" You shoot back, sounding doubtful. "I think everybody would be much more relieved i I hid my face from view."
"There are people who like seeing you smile," Seox responds. "They would want to see your face and smile."
"Yeah? Like who?" You ask in a light and airy voice. Your tone of voice suggests that you aren't just doubting his words, but rather that you fully believe your own self-critical remarks to the point that you've normalized them as something similar to a joke.
Seox, however, takes your words seriously and doesn't think of them as a joke. "Me," he answers straightforwardly without an ounce of hesitation or uncertainty.
You falter.
"I like seeing you smile," the Eternal continues when you don't respond. "So... I would like it if you didn't hide your face." He then shakes his head, crossing his arms over his chest as if to hide his embarrassment. "I won't stop you if you insist on getting a mask for yourself, but... your smile is what keeps me going. I just want you to know that."
