Hi, I was wondering about the comics that take place between Atla and tlok? Do you know how many of them there are, and if it's best to read them between Atla or tlok or if I should keep watching tlok and read the comics later?

There are three trilogies: The Promise, The Search, and The Rift. Each one has three parts. I would recommend reading them in-between watching ATLA and LOK. There are some other one-shots that have been compiled in The Lost Adventures, but they're not really plot relevant. I would read those anytime you want more of the Gaang. Rebound, Shells, Sisters, and Friends for Life are some issues that were deployed on Free Comic Book Day (I have not yet read them)

Read the comics. They're canon and take place a year or so after the show. They explain everything about zuko's mom and so much more. I think I enjoyed the comics more than the show itself.
