My Experience With The Salt Water Flush
So yesterday I did the salt water detox having done minimal research beforehand. It’s basically just a bunch of gross, warm salt water you have to chug in under 5 minutes and it’s supposed to make you go to the bathroom. I’ve heard people refer to it as an ‘at home colon cleanse’ and it’s apparently really good for constipation.
In the YouTube videos I watched on it, the people always ended up losing around 5 pounds by the end of it so weight loss was my main reason for trying this. And this would probably shock y’all since I’m anorexic but I don’t have a digital scale at my house so I really couldn’t weigh myself before and after the detox.
Anyways, about 20 minutes after drinking the water I had to use the bathroom but it wasn’t urgent or anything like everyone makes it sound. It all came out in liquid and it felt like I was peeing from my butt. As weird as it sounds I’m actually kind of disappointed I wasn’t in the bathroom all day like everyone else was because that would’ve signified it was working.
So after I used the bathroom and my stomach settled I got in the shower and was fine all day. I forgot to mention I had been fasting for a day prior, so maybe I didn’t have much to poop out??
The bottom line is, this method is worth a try if you’re seriously constipated or something but as a weight loss method it kind of sucks. I read a lot of people’s experiences with the salt water flush on myproana and nearly all of them said it didn’t work. So, if you want to try this I would suggest you not to but I know how you all think and probably won’t listen to me lmao. So, here are my advice if you really want to do it.
1. Use himilayan pink salt, it’s probably more effective.
2. Use a straw, it might make it feel less disgusting.
3. Try to drink it under 7 minutes, everyone else says under 5min but this stuff is gross so it’s completely understandable if it takes you longer.
4. Do it in the morning, when you are gonna be home all day and won’t have to do anything important.
5. Lay down after you drink it!! You might feel a little sick after drinking and I’ve heard that some people have gotten cramps, so lay down and relax.
And that’s it! Again, I really do not recommend this but if you must try it just stay safe.

You’ll look stunning in pictures.
To not compare myself to everyone I see.
To not have your thighs jiggle
To not regret eating a morsel of food.
To have thin little legs in shorts.
To be able to wear a bralet and not feel fat.
To wear crop tops without a tank top underneath to cover your fat stomach.
To feel comfortable wearing a sports bra at the gym.
Small, thin wrists.
Prominent collarbones.

Feeling: idk why my grandma brought home dunkin donuts when she knows i’m on a diet and she’s supposed to be doing it with me?? but i barely ate anything and have that nice hungry feeling so i’m happy.

Feeling- proud of myself because the exercise was hard, and i rewarded myself with a popsicle because i’m fasting tomorrow

Feeling- guilty i didn’t exercise, but i feel full! the hot sweet potato filled me up and i feel really good. i think my stomach is shrinking.

so I’m actually really proud of myself because i’ve been fasting 26hrs! i don’t know if i’ll break my fast tomorrow or not, i had been planning meals in my head but saw i’m out of blueberries and i’m stubborn.

idk if this counts but i had a friend who was super underweight and struggled with it but she finally started gaining weight and wasn’t used to it and was showing me how her thigh jiggled a little bit and called herself fat and i was so upset:(
Is it just me or does anybody else feel triggered when their non-ed friend says they haven’t eaten all day?
