How are you today?

Hello!!

I am doing well, actually. I have some coffee and I'm going to do a test for English on my computer so I can finish practicing for my SATs! I saw a friend for the first time in a while this week, painted a bird house and met a nice older lady who showed me her junk journal (it was BEAUTIFUL) and I got some books from the library!

I thought I'd ask your two cents on this. I can't stomach these pairings but how do you feel about SukixKlaus, SukixGunter, SukixDarius, SukixMarcus (Johnny's dad), or even SukixJimmy?

I'm not a big fan of these personally, but there are probably people out there who do like these (to those people, good for you! Have fun with it. That's what fandoms are for!)

The reasons I don't do these myself vary from person to person. In the case of Klaus, he's much, much older than Suki, probably in his early fifties while Suki's only mid-to-late twenties or early thirties at most. It makes me just a little uncomfortable.

Gunter and Darius plain and simply don't match up with her personality. They don't compliment Suki's good traits or bad traits, and I feel like it just wouldn't work out in the end.

As for Marcus... I can't really explain my reason but it probably wouldn't work. HOWEVER, I would probably read something about this just out of curiosity to see what fans make of it. This is a really interesting option and I like seeing where those go.

I don't really ship Jimmy with anybody (other than the time I wrote a happy life story thing in Spanish where he had a wife) but he really abuses the people around him so I would worry about that the entire time I thought about this ship. It would be looming over my head, because there is no way Suki is not being mistreated in some way in this theoretical situation.

Personally, I think Suki would do well with either Buster or a new character. Now, I understand that not everybody is a fan of Suki x Buster, but they do compliment each other's personalities. She's able to bring him down to earth and be logical and, in return, he is a ray of optimism that just may do her good.

Maybe, just maybe, she'll get a good and fair partner if they bring her back for the third film. Suki deserves some more screen time and I'm here for it.

You know, if I could do Algebra II and Geometry, my life would be so much easier. Then there's JavaScript. I hate it. I don't like the fact that I'll have to do college before vet school. Being able to spell epinephrine should make me qualified. XD

Um I don't know if you're still taking requests rn, but are there any other rules or conditions that we should be aware of?

I am, but I've been really slow (sorry, everybody!!! A lot's happened this year.) but rules and conditions are simple enough.

-No NSFW/Yiff (no, tickling doesn't count as NSFW in my rulebook. I have had this question put to me before so I thought I should clear it up!)

-No depictions of physical ab*se (it's a trigger)

-And I have a hatred for the ships Bustike and Noodlemoon. No hate for the people that like these, the reasons are very personal. Everyone who DOES ship these, enjoy yourselves! I'm just not in on it.

Look, I don't want to be forced to pick sides, which is what the canon and fandom is doing, and when Suki relates to me and is a suvbersion of the "I'm a 100% bitch" thing and Ash doesn't like her and Hollywood just wants that tiresome Betty-vs-Veronica thing, it's harder to continue liking the films or support the main characters.

No one is forcing you to like or support anything. Please, I don't want to argue. This is a fandom. It's supposed to be about having fun and focusing on what you do like. I come to this fandom because IRL life destroys me and this fandom helps me cope. Arguing achieves the exact opposite purpose. I will not reply to any more comments on this particular subject.

Can't the studio have Suki's flaws explored without making her a twist villain or making Ash the better woman? No arrests, no false redemption, no deaths and "I'm glad she's dead")?

None of those things happened to Suki, though. No one arrested her, there was no false redemption--she actually kinda saved Buster's fluffy koala butt--and there were no deaths and no "I'm glad she's dead" because Suki never. died. Ash is only one of all the characters that wasn't too thrilled with Suki's character, they weren't making Ash out to be "the better woman" it is simply characters not liking another character, and I can appreciate it because, in real life, not everybody likes everybody else.

Outdated female insecurity constantly played out in in films and high school sitcoms does not justify Ash and Suki being permanent enemies!

I'm not going to have arguments. We can both have our opinions without making a problem out of it. It's not "outdated female insecurity," a character simply does not like another character and that is the end of it. They aren't enemies, Ash just isn't particularly a fan. A character can dislike another character without it being some giant conspiracy hullabaloo. Ash isn't a b*tch for disliking Suki like so many are saying. She does not wish for Suki to be dead or anything like that. Sometimes people just don't like other people.

You know what would be a real dick move for Illumination? Throwing Suki's redemption completely out the window just for the other girls' sake. I mean, Ash thought she was a jerk and never acknowledged her positively afterwards. She turned her head away when Suki told Buster to come to Jimmy's office and the only time she was happy in the Saluki's presence was the Majestic announcement. Apart from that, I wager they'll just make Ash into Angie and Suki into Lola. Why can't they be friends?

Mm, maybe you're right. On another note, I get it. Some people just don't like certain other people and that's perfectly fine. Ash doesn't have to like Suki. In fact, characters are more interesting when not everyone loves them. It sheds light onto their flaws, just like being liked by others places a similar spotlight onto the good qualities. Personally, I like the fact that Ash never quite started to like Suki. It adds more depth. Please remember this is just my opinion. Have a good day!

I just noticed something and now I'm sobbing uncontrollably for some reason at this. I just realized a random correlation between EVERY SINGLE COMFORT CHARACTER I'VE EVER HAD. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM-- (Skylar from Elena of Avalor, Michaelangelo from Ninja turtles, the animated fox-version of Robin Hood, Link from The Twilight Ream or whatever it was called, Hiccup from HTTYD, Buster Moon from Sing, Eragon from Inheritance Cycle, etc) --ARE ALL DUMBASSES WITH EXTREMELY BOOPABLE NOSES.
