If james broke up with lily in 7th year, would he get depressed and try to win her back?
Nah, If he dumped her I think he'd be fine until she tried to move on and perhaps he'd get possessive and then try to win her back.
Tho if she broke up with him then perhaps he'd be depressed and try to win her back.

Snape != Harry
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry was sorted into the good house.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry had two best friends who always came back or never left him even when he treated them like dirt and lashed out at them.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry had adults who loved and cared about him. Even Snape who disliked him, was his personal dark guardian angel.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry almost always put Draco in his place. You can count on one hand the number of times Draco overpowered him. Harry nearly killed him once.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry's fights with Draco were usually even 3vs3. Arguably, Draco was the one outnumbered in the book 4 and 5 group assaults on the train.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry came from a wealthy family and his godfather left him even more dough. Harry was set for life.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry got to live his adult life in peace and have a wonderful family with the girl he loved.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Hermione/Ron would have hexed Draco to smithereens if Draco sexually assaulted Harry the way James did Snape. Hermione/Ron would not smile either.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry did not have to witness Hermione or Ginny get with Draco.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry always saw Hogwarts as his home and his happy place. Hogwarts is where Snape had his worst memory.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry and Draco ended the series being civil. Unlike Remus and Sirius who still had hate boners for Snape in their thirties.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Snape had to do a profession he was not suited for nor he liked for his mission. Harry was a renowned Auror respected by the wizarding world.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Harry had a surrogate family who loved him dearly and readily accepted him.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Snape was surrounded by pureblood supremacists in school as a disadvantaged mudblood half-blood.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse -
Snape never truly had a safe place where he felt loved. School and home were hell.
Snape and Harry both had bad childhoods. Snape has no excuse!

for some reason I feel so sick when I see Marauders fans trying to get into the subject of bullying
Tumblr media
it hurts me physically
That is a load of bullshit.
I can't say a thing about the hermione one but the Luna one is bullshit. No one called Remus "Loony Lupin".
The only reason they called Luna "Loony Lovegood" was because of the things she was taught by her father and her personality which is completely different from Lupin's.
Given Remus's life, he would have been a quiet kid and not speak unless someone spoke to him. He wouldn't have much confidence to speak or approach anyone so there is no way in hell anyone called him "Loony Lupin". It's not possible and the fact that anyone would think that he was is just completely insane.
I just.....how'd they even come up with this shit? The only person who could ever be called Loony is Luna's father Xenophilius Lovegood....please make it make sense to me....I can't deal with this nonsense....

I feel like not much is said about the fact that Lily and James got married and had a child in the middle of the war.
Like if it weren't for pure pressure and stress, would anyone really want this guy around?? *I laugh like an gossipy middle-aged lady*
No one would want him around, not him or his friends.
James and Sirius pulled pranks on anyone and everyone.
Remus was a prefect who didn't really stop them (cause if he didn't stop them from bullying Severus then I doubt he stopped them from pranking others)
And Peter...well he cheered them on and I can't imagine anyone wanting to be around someone who supports others targeting others for fun.
The only people who'd want James around is Sirius, and I only say him cause I feel like Remus would slowly drift away from them due to the incident in 5th year and Peter would most likely be forgotten in time if there was no war raging. Literally if Lily wasn't expected to end up with James or pressured then possibly the only person who'd want him around is sirius cause lets face it Sirius was in love with James, least that's what I think.

Do you think James Potter was a pervert?
Not particularly, no.
Then again the boy had a map telling him where everyone was at in hogwarts, a cloak that made him invisible, and an obsession with a redheaded girl.....
I don't particularly see him as a pervert but he has the tools to be one.

Let‘s talk about how Remus Lupin.
Humiliated his colleague.
Who he and his friends had already tormented for years before that.
Who was almost murdered by his friends.
The man who kept his mouth shut for years and did not tell anyone about Remus true nature.
Eventhough he almost died because of it.
The man who never receieved a single fucking apology.
Because, you know.
They were just silly teenage pranks.
Right?
Let‘s talk about how Remus Lupin humiliated his teenage bully victim once more as an adult by encouraging Neville to imagine him in his grandmothers clothing.
In front of the whole class.
Knowing fully well that not a day later every single student in the castle would have heard about it.
And laughed about it.
Let‘s talk about how fucking cruel Remus was towards Severus.
He did it deliberately.
Fully knowing what would happen.
For a laugh.
Just like in the good old days.

The idea of James Potter being flirty doesn't seem too far-fetched. I think JK Rowling intended him to be, seeing how he liked attention so much. I think he liked attention from pretty girls.
To me I believe James put himself on a pedestal, Sirius put James on a pedestal as well. James always seemed like he was better and with all the positive attention he get from anyone, especially his parents and sirius, only boosted his ego. So naturally it seems possible that James could be flirty, so wether JK Rowling intended for James to be that way or not, it's certainly is the only way I can see him being.

I think the Marauder's behavior is in line with teenagers from groups that normalize violence, perhaps even milder. In similar schools, the bullying may look like trying to slam a classmate's genitals into a lantern post or attempting to gouge their eyes out with a pencil.
Snape...I think the level of violence he would have been exposed to would be more of a tawsing and getting jumped, but not relentless harassement for years. Nor a janitor who may or may not be allowed to hang kids by their thumbs. The fact Filch's chains are still functional shows that there is a demand for torture instruments in the Wizarding World, since there is no way these things would survive the Weasley Twins, and the Marauders.
Many products used in black magic seem to come from corpse trafficking, exept maybe human nails.
The costant stalking, with maybe some exposure to hypothermia from time to time, public stripping, mouth soaping. The mouth soaping also comes from a will to humiliate (since it's seen as a childish punishment).
I swear I wish Snape never went to hogwarts or never had any magic at all. The bloody Wizarding world didn't do him any good. It was practically filled with lies.
I greatly despise the marauders, I wish Sev never met them.

Severus Snape hurt others as a coping mechanism because he was abused, neglected and never got help to deal with it.
James Potter hurt others because he enjoyed the power he felt when he did so.

"Snape only protected Harry because of Lily!"
Okay, but you know you may as well be saying “Sirius and Remus only protected Harry because of James!”, right? People usually sacrifice more for their friends’ kids than for kids they’ve never met before and have no connection to, that’s… kind of normal. It’s not selfish…?

Snape was not "obsessed" with Lily like a "creepy stalker."
If he’d been obsessed with Lily he would have followed her around everywhere at school. You know. Like an actual stalker.
He would have asked her out all the time. He wouldn’t have backed off after she told him to leave her alone. He would have done everything he could think of to win back her affection after insulting her.  He wouldn’t have respected her enough to allow their friendship to end because people who are obsessed don’t actually respect the feelings of the object of their obsession. They don’t have boundaries.
If he were obsessed with Lily he would have sat in front of their house in Godric’s Hollow all the time after her death. He would have tried to go through her belongings. He would have built a fucking shrine to her, collected Daily Prophet clippings with Lily’s photo and kept them in a scrapbook or some shit. Snape ain’t got no time for that. He’s got a teaching gig at Hogwarts because he moved on and lived his life.
If Snape were obsessed with Lily he wouldn’t have helped Harry at all because if it didn’t bring Lily back then what would the point in that be? Obsession is selfish. There was nothing in it for Snape and it didn’t bring Lily back. So how is sacrificing his life, safety, and comfort for Harry/Dumbledore/Lily selfish?
Why are y'all perverting the word “love” for the sake of hating a fictional character?
