Remember all oils are about the same caloric density. Be sure to measure properly 120 calories and 13 g of fat per tablespoon. Choose "cold-pressed" and/or "expeller-pressed" when possible. Strive for balanced Omega 3 & Omega 6 fatty acids. Moderation is key! Top 5 1. Olive Oil Pros: It's rich in polyphenols, antioxidant compounds that have anti-inflammatory properties. Cons: not always best for high-heat cooking. 2. Canola Oil Pros: higher in omega-3s than most other plant oils; Cons: Almost all canola grown in the US is genetically modified, so choose organic if you want to avoid GMOs. 3.
