I'm sure you would enjoy my edit of his birthday art I posted a bit earlier then. Let's just say, my hand slipped and he looks like he's allergic to the flowers now, haha. I see you already liked it, and it's just living in my head rent free, hence STILL being awake)
Way too many Bai//zhu hcs because... well... just look at my blog
not that loud but definitely desperate + forceful
like, gripping the nearest surface, knocking off his glasses forceful
would probably be spelled with italics iykwim
5/10 volume, 6/10 pitch, 5/10 wetness
breathy buildups that stutter (?) before the release sometimes (I suck at spelling but I hope you know what I mean)
fairly good at holding back but cannot stifle to save his life (but tries anyways, to varying degrees of success ranging from half-stifling to just sounding more repressed)
usually covers with his elbow, but will use the back of his hand if it catches him off guard
fits of 2-3 but can be (read: definitely) more if sick/particularly irritated (which, unfortunately, happens a lot)
longer fits can leave him winded and having to sit down afterwards, and just overall a disheveled mess
always always always excuses himself and blesses others
sneezed in front of a patient once, they blessed him and asked if he was feeling okay, and he got all flustered and was like "It's my job to worry about your health, not the other way around..."
somewhat sensitive to pollen and strong scents, meaning he has to be careful when working with certain herbs
used to be a lot worse, but managed to build tolerance after years of exposure (part of the reason why he's so good at holding back)
idk why but I also feel like he would be sensitive to cold weather

the most stubborn patient ever; everyone who cares about him literally has to beg him to rest (I mean come on he's literally the "puts everyone before themselves to the point of self sacrifice" trope)
aside from that, actually isn't that demanding, doesn't really ask for anything (unless it's reassurance that he isn't useless/weak/whatever self-deprecating thing he believes being vulnerable makes him)
so you know the quote about people trying so hard not to be a burden to others that they become one anyways?

can't decide whether he'd be clingy or just want to be left alone bc both are fun to think about
actually scratch that he would try to get his caretaker to leave and be all "you shouldn't have to see me like this" but would just go with it if they were to hug him

I know, I know, I said I'd go to bed but like...Bai/z/hu is on my mind, okay? I'll actually go to bed now for real this time. (Edit: I still didn't). Maybe as I sleep on it, I'll think of a good way to make a little drabble of this. Though I'm also thinking of Bai/z/hu as the snz'er drabbles too so we shall see
god not to be a little freak but i want a very nice hot doctor with rolled up sleeves to feel my throat for swelling and when i have to duck my head to sneeze between us he kind of laughs and says “my goodness, bless you” and assures me that i don't have to apologize because i'm sick and he'll do everything he can to get me feeling better

Bai/z/hu my beloved!!!! These are INCREDIBLE!! Although I think he would be the type to avoid stifling and encourage others not to as well because he stands by it being bad for you.
I really like the idea of him having some pollen allergies. I looove the idea of him working with herbs and desperately fighting a sneeze because he feels it'll break his concentration, only to set the herbs down when it becomes unbearable, turn, and sneeze strongly into his elbow. I agree they'd be "gripping the nearest surface, knocking off his glasses forceful." In fact I REALLY REALLY like this and am going to steal it for when I finally write or draw him, as long as you're cool with that, immaculate, hahaha.

Spoilers for his character story quest!!
Hear me out. When Cha/ng/sh/eng said he was transferring his life force, I was initially thinking, "Hmm, perhaps he will get sick more easily" BUT ALAS HO/YO IS LIKE "NAAAH THAT AIN'T EVEN NECESSARY LET'S LET HIM TRANSFER DISEASES!!"
So on that note, what if he transferred a sneezy cold to himself? And what if because he can transfer diseases, if he could also transfer allergies??? I can see it now: Bai/z/hu developing more allergies due to transferring someone's horrendous allergies to himself. LIKE DAYUM!! The opportunities for hc's for this man are just ENDLESS!!
Building off this, imagine Bai/z/hu prescribes anti-histamine to stop his patient's intense bouts of sneezing, but it's not enough. So he just fucking transfers their allergies to himself, they ask him why he's suddenly sneezing so much, and he has to act all natural and hide it so as to not give away Cha/ng/sh/eng's "secret art".
And speaking of Cha/ng/sh/eng, this brings back an old hc I had of her helping Bai/z/hu sneeze!! Imagine if he's struggling to sneeze, so Cha/ng/sh/eng adjusts her position with her coils so she can tickle his nose with the tip of her tail to coax it out. Then, before he can even retort after, she insists, "You're welcome. Must feel better to get it out now, huh?" And he simply blushes, pushes his glasses up on his nose and embarrassingly nods. IT'S JUST GOLDEN!! SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES!!!
Gah, I love this gorgeous man so much. He's underrated and I wish there was more content of him out there, cause there's just so much potential for hc's with him just cause of the things mentioned in his story quest and with Cha/ng/sh/eng's way of keeping him in line when he clearly needs someone's help but won't accept it. I just love him sm and agree on wanting someone to care for him like he cares for others. Bai/z/hu my beloved, I will cherish you even if few others will 💚

I haven't played Gen/shin in a good while, but today I hopped on and did his character story quest, and oh my goodness I love him even more, and the snz hc's are arriving again!!! online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

It's 1 am and U/-1/1/46 is occupying my few awake brain cells, so take a drabble that instead turned into a mini fic (I wrote this for an hour and it's now 2 am instead, but I have gotten out the scenarios I needed to and can go to sleep now). I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!! This is my first time writing this man, but I think it's relatively alright anyway! This specific scenario has been living rent-free in my brain for days, and I'm very excited to finally have written something for it!! Since this was initially going to be a drabble, and it's now 2 am, it doesn't have a specific title though. I hope you all don't mind!!

"Da-ding!"
U-1146's ears perked up at the all-too-familiar sound of his receptor. Things had been relatively calm lately, so he was enjoying some soothing tea with Red Blood Cell and her kouhai. He almost spilled his tea when he quickly turned his head and looked in every which direction. He sat his tea down on the table, then subconsciously rubbed his nose, which had begun to run. Likely from the steam from the tea, or at least he thought so.
He sniffled softly. His eyes frantically searched the area for an antigen. As part of the Neutrophil Division, it was his job to protect the others around him from any invaders. After all, the neutrophils are the first line of defense, which is why it's so important he stay alert.
He stood up and jogged in different directions. But his receptor wasn't budging from its upright position to tell him he was any closer or further. He was became increasingly more confused. Was it hiding in the walls? Or in another box of oxygen or carbon dioxide like that pesky pneumococcus the day he met Red Blood Cell? Snf Perhaps it—
His train of thought paused. With the second subconscious sniffle, he became aware of an intense itching sensation spreading through his sinuses. It must've been there already, but his concentration distracted him from it entirely. His prominent nose scrunched up with irritation, his eyelids fluttered, and his mouth fell agape as he inhaled sharply. He swiftly lifted his hand.
"H'huhh...HAh'kTTSchhu!" The force of 1146's sneeze snapped him forward slightly, and his shoulders trembled from the force. Although caught off-guard, he still managed to catch it in the back of his wrist, which he held a few centimeters from his face. Although heads were already being turned to face him, it was clear he wasn't done when he quickly gasped again. "Hiihh...huht'TSSshhu! IhTS'schh—yuu! Snrf! 'Scuse me."
His face and ears grew slightly red in embarrassment, and before he moved his wrist, he assessed if there might be a few more sneezes, before determining the sudden itchiness in his nose had lessened to a gentle yet annoying buzz in the back of his sinuses. He felt that was tolerable, so he gently rubbed his nose, let out another sniffle, and lowered his hand carefully. He turned back to return to the table with Red Blood Cell, and as he approached, he noticed her and her kouhai seeming to stare at his receptor. He blinked awkwardly a few times before finally stating, "I'm sorry to cut our time short, but it seems I need to get to work. Did—?"
His voice seemed to bring Red Blood Cell back to the present, because she immediately interrupted, "After you sneezed, your receptor went down." She seemed incredibly confused. 46's dark eyes narrowed in confusion too. He reached behind his head to feel for the receptor on the back of his hat, and sure enough, it had gone down while—or as Red Blood Cell had said, after—he was sneezing. That was...odd...to say the least.
"Da-ding!"
"Target sight—!" 46 began, but there was no target in sight. Befuddled, he continued, subconsciously rubbing his nose once more, "That's odd. It should b-be r-hih-right about...Hiiihhh, hah'KTsSchuhh! IHT'sschh—yuu!" He turned just in time to catch a swift double in his wrist. "Guh...snrf! 'Scuse me," he muttered and rubbed his nose a bit more intensely this time. Out of curiosity, he also felt for his receptor, and sure enough, it had lowered once again.
"Is it possible," Red Blood Cell's kouhai suddenly began, "that your receptor is picking up what's bothering your nose?"
"It's not unheard of, that's for sure." White Blood Cell began with a slow nod, turned his head, and sniffled softly. "But it's so uncommon that it didn't seem possible." He chuckled, "Though it seems to be the only logical reason to this, doesn't it?" He turned back to Red Blood Cell and her kouhai and gave a soft smile. Perhaps his receptor had become multifunctional, and while it might become confusing, 46 felt this quirk would be worth it for the entertaining story it gave him to share with his fellow neutrophils over some tea!

It's 4:38am. My brain is keeping me awake with stuff about all my men. My Gen/shin men, H/onk/ai St/ar R/ail men, Gi/yu, 1/1/46, they are all just in my mind making me want to stay awake and fantasize about more snz stuff with them all. Al/hai/th/am, Chi/l/de, Di/luc, Kae/ya, Cae/lus, D/an H/eng, I/L, Ji/ng Y/ua/n, and others are also clearly wanting my attention back. But they are all getting the thoughts, not just some.
Because I'm supposed to be sleeping, my brain has just decided to spread it out through all of them. I guess I just have to try to sleep while imagining all these gorgeous and hot men snz'ing?? Well shit, maybe I should stop typing and actually lay my head on the pillow and close my eyes, cause maybe I'll get some awesome dreams about them!!! Or at least I hope...

Watch out, everyone. U/-1/1/46 is almost ready. Snzario of him below for the time being. Just gotta get more used to M/MD, then I'll start my first ani/ma/t/ion. If anyone has pointers or recommended videos to watch, please let me know!
I adjusted an existing m/od/el to make him look even more accurate to the ani/me, and I am very excited to work on ani/ma/t/ing him and sharing it!!! In the meantime, take these quick U/-1/1/46 hc's I promised:
I feel like he's a pretty harsh snz'er, often something like "HE'KTss—chyuu!" or "Ha'KST–chuhh!" I think his build up is pretty minimal, and it's not uncommon for him to be speaking, go suddenly silent, and then just turn away really quickly with a snz without any warning outside of his eyes narrowing, his nose scrunching up, and his mouth falling agape. And also sometimes his re/cep/tor pops up a bit before he snz's, because perhaps it even detects whatever is bothering his nose and classifies it as an antigen. And as a result, he gets focused on searching for an antigen and then eventually realizes he just had to snz. He seems like the type to turn and cover with his wrist too. Despite being an assassin, he's also very sweet, so I can just imagine that very clearly.

I LOVE CELLS AT WORK!
When I was in university it was such a comfort show, I loved studying the body and it particularly made me keep pursuing neuro psychology
I still love to steam it every now and then-as a comfort show—they need to make another season!

Those of you who saw and relate to my question about if any fellow artists have pivoted to other pieces, then another piece, then another, etc, instead of finishing each piece will get what I mean with that 😅
