Biskit walking around his cookie neighborhood that's home sweet home🍪 I've been working on a Candy Land themed island for a while now, which will be ready in time for a birthday stream I'm having this Saturday the 14th at twitch.tv/aforestlife (maybe around 1pm EST?) if anyone here is interested! It's going to be playable like the Candy Land board game, with minigame squares that you can land on. I'm really happy with how the island's come out🍬

This post of mine is going around a lot so I thought I'd add that I made a guide about how Wild World house exteriors work!
I wish I had more actual house photos on my guide, but all the mechanics are there so you know how it functions.

Some of my favorite house styles in AC:WW :) There’s so much variety and detail to the villager houses in this game, I love it!

Hey Amy, I just wanted to thank you for your streams. I've been really struggling with my mental health the past few months and your streams have been a really comforting escape and they've made me feel a little better on some of my worst days. Thank you for being such a welcoming person and for being so fun to chat with on stream. Can't wait to catch the next stream, have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much for the kind words, it really means a lot to me and I'm honored my stream could help in that way! It helps me to hear too because I've been struggling with seeing my worth with streaming since I came back from a break recently. The ups and downs can be rough, but the bright moments are very bright ✨️ I hope you have a great day also, thank you again 💕

hi amy! love ur blog, always have! so in one of ur acww i believe you have a whole patch of money trees, and i’ve read online that u can only have one money tree at a time in acww? so i just wanted to make sure before i go planting a bunch of money in the ground, you didn’t do anything special to make your town able to have multiple money trees, right? i know theres always lots of conflicting info about acww online since it’s such an old game, but you’re an expert i trust! ♥️
Hey!! Thank you so much, that means a lot :') Yeah, I didn't do anything special or sketchy there! You can have multiple money trees. What I know about money trees is that *if a tree can grow there* (there are dead spots in Wild World) the tree will always at the very least grow. But there is a percentage chance on whether the tree will bear the bell bags as 'fruit' or not. I've heard that the percentage chance of it actually becoming a money tree increases the more money you plant. I always plant 30,000 bells. I don't have datamining proof to prove this rumor, but I have noticed that I can plant 100 bells, it's basically the same thing as a sapling at the shop, it will never have money in it. And I did successfully get my little money tree orchard with my method of planting 30,000, but I think it took a little bit of time because I planted one at a time (nothing horrible though, it wasn't that hard). Maybe the rumor is more supposed to be that you can only successfully grow one money tree a day, and can't grow a whole orchard at once? That might make more sense for me because I know you can have more than one money tree without cheating; I'm not the only one who's done that. :) Good luck and thanks for the kind words, I'm honored to be a trusted long-term ACWW fan ❤️

I feel like if the confession blogs were still a thing (tbh I'm glad to not have them add drama anymore 👍), they would be rife of mods vs no mods debates in the AC community, just like the hacked towns in New Leaf. It's funny how these issues always circle back. Personally I'm finding myself a little extra salty about mods this time around because I feel like they're more inaccessible than the 3ds/new leaf ones were, and it incluses making completely new models & items that the rest of the fandom just doesn't have access to. At first I was just excited about the possibilities (like what if Nintendo did this? or in the next game?) but now it's pretty oversaturated on my feeds and I miss the content I saw that we could all relate to in the base game, before the modding boom

I've grown to really enjoy urbancore in ACNH, I think it's one of the first games you can genuinely do that vibe justice in Animal Crossing (New Leaf to some extent too, maybe). But I find that actually doing these areas is a big pain compared to more natural builds. There's something about the way that a lot of the panels don't line up with each other, along with other similar things (the patch of grass in front of inclines, the circle in the middle of face cut-outs) that just drive me crazy lmao. Combine this with having to juggle not having enough pattern slots to solve some of these problems, and that can be really frustrating as well. Fake buildings are a lot easier to make look good if you aren't stingy about the amount of patterns you use to put them together. (My post-apocalyptic island is a nightmare with pattern slots because it kind of requires both nature ones and city ones, it's not a good combo)
