I like to think that there are some silvan elf tribes in the lands between Lothlòrien, Mirkwood, and Rivendell, not quite Avari but rather just silvan elves that stick to their own and their own ways of life.
Elrond, Thranduil/Oropher, Celeborn and Galadriel all had the same agreement that the silvan did not have to conform to their growing kingdoms/cities but would provide protection and aid if ever they reached out.
This is how Celeborn and Galadriel meet Haldir and his brothers. Haldir and his family were apart of silvan tribe that had recently left the Mirkwood forest after an orc/spider ambush had killed many, Haldir only briefly remembers Amon Lanc as the capital it used to be.
It is my headcanon that silvan elf culture is different from that of Noldor and Sindar and they approach things like children differently. Silvan elves are more likely to produce children and multiply, their way of life is older and more dangerous than that of Noldor and Sindar, so children are often spotted in Silvan tribes. Haldir and his brothers are an example, three elven brothers when a lot of elves don't choose to have children at all.
A young Haldir is sent to meet with the lord and lady of Lothlorien, as he is one of the very few who speaks a universal language, while many of his tribe only speak a branch of old silvan Elvish. Haldir arrives and is met by the marchwardens who are kind to him, yet cautious, something Haldir deeply admired of them.
Haldir meets with Celeborn and Galadriel to explain their plight, a band of orcs and spiders attacked and killed most of their skilled warriors and their leaders, and very few remained that could fight, mostly families with children were left.
The lord and lady admired the bravery and will to protect from the young silvan elf that had lost his parents and well known comrades. They agreed to take in his remaining tribe and house them.
Celeborn and Galadriel then meet Haldir's younger brothers; Orophin, a young elf not even 200 years old, yet trying to appear older and far more strong than his youth let on, and little Rùmil, an elfling that hadn't reached majority age yet. Celeborn and Galadriel without meaning to, began to dote and care for Haldir and his brothers as if they were their own.
While the silvan elves assimilated as much as they could, they still kept many of their cultural ways and traditions, but they were never told off by the lord and lady and were actually encouraged to continue their lives as they were.
....
This just the beginning to a fic I'm writing about Haldir and his brothers, their life and culture while essentially being adopted by THE lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn! Hope you enjoyed!

A bit of drama this time around!
Celegorm is the only physical anomaly in his family. Everyone has black, dark brown, or red hair, but he was born with a shock of near white blond hair. This shocked everyone except for Feanor, Nerdanel, and Finwè. Celegorm looked so unlike his parents and siblings that some even suggested, for the first time in their history, that Nerdanel had Celegorm with another Ellon and had betrayed her marriage to Feanor.
The rumors flew around Valinor for a long time and Feanor, Maedhros, and Maglor would receive looks of pity or they would be whispered about. They stopped wandering the streets when a particular comment made Maglor cry and ask loudly why they were so mean to his mother.
Feanor finally broke at all the accusations. One, at the impossible idea of Nerdanel cheating and conceiving a child with another, two, the fact that nearly all the Elves of Valinor had forgotten that Feanor's late mother also had white blond hair. Feanor was livid that they spoke of Nerdanel in such a manner, but his anger was fueled by the fact that the Elves of Valinor seemed quite quick to even forget their late queen, his mother.

A little headcanon that Elrond identified more as a Feanorian and a son/ward of Maglor. In the current events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, Elrond wears the feanorian star as a pendant, but under his clothes. He also has an old circlet dating back to the Years of the tree that was given to him by Maedhros, the center piece was a feanorian star with a red gem in the center.

Oh my gods oh my gods!!!
I was inspired by Davos from Game of Thrones talking about Shireen and I thought it fit for Aulè yelling at Melkor about Mairon/Sauron and about how Melkor "killed" Mairon and manipulated and killed his beloved Maiar to create Sauron.
It may go something like this!:
Aulè: "You killed Mairon!"
Melkor: "I did no such thing-"
Aulè: "I loved that boy... like he was my own... he was good, he was kind, and YOU KILLED HIM!"
. . .
Aulè mourned for Mairon the way a parent mourned for their child...

An idea for either a short story or one shot.
Legolas dies in the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. He dies of severe injuries following the encounter with the Balrog. The fellowship were able to keep him alive until they get to the borders of Lothlòrien where they meet Haldir. Legolas unfortunately passes before any healing can be administered.
Galadriel and Celeborn learn of Legolas' fate and prepare to have Legolas preserved long enough to be returned to Mirkwood, but a letter is sent ahead to inform Thranduil. Many of the Elves in Lothlòrien are seen wearing black in mourning for the brave prince and sorrowful ballads could be heard throughout the night.
Thranduil does not take the news well and flies into a grief stricken rage and closes himself in his chambers for 5 days. When he emerges, he is pale, thin, and crying yet he instructs the Elves of Mirkwood to prepare the funeral. All the silvan elves mourn their prince and the it seems the darkness of Mirkwood grew exponentially since the prince's death. Following the funeral, Thranduil decides to abandon the dark wood and move his people away from the forest where he lost his wife and a place light will never touch again. The silvan elves along with their king seemingly disappeared.

Just a quick what I think the son's of Feanor did or excelled at pre-kinslaying and pre-silmarils.
. Maedhros was his father's heir and to me was really politically savvy and a diplomat, he was also well versed in arms and handling a sword.
. Maglor was a professional musician that taught music to younger elves on the side.
. Celegorm was one of most acomplished huntsman and survivalist, and his craft usually had him out in the wilderness most of the time.
. Caranthir was a well known fashion icon with a serious temper, but single handedly grew Valinor's fashion styles. Would dabble in sewing and embroidery, but kept pricking his hands and got mad about it. Essentially he's the "devil wears prada' of Valinor.
. Curufin was a well known weapons smith. (Smithing runs in the family!😂)
. I feel both Amrod and Amras were jokesters but also had gentle dispositions. They were a jack of all trades with the arts, especially painting and weaving (shout out to grandmother Miriel!)

I won't lie. A deep part of my love for the Fèanorians makes me want to write a fic where Maedhros never gave up the kingship and continued to reign as high king of the Noldor with Maglor as his right hand!

Headcanon/theory time! And this time it's for my boy Maedhros!
Maedhros is known as "The Tall", my personal headcanon is that while growing up he had fast and painful growth spurts and that along with being super tall leads to back and knee issues.
I think Maedhros struggled with chronic pain due to growing so much and so fast, he also gets cramps in his legs and the occasional sense of vertigo from his own height!😂

I might draw this idea! But I headcanon Caranthir as THEE fashionista of Sirion! Before the oath and kinslaying, Caranthir was seen as a fashion icon and would wear beautiful robes of velvet, have beautifully braided hair with gemstone accessories in his hair, ear piercings as well as nose rings (He kinda revolutionized them). He also had a large collection of circlets and diadems!
He was the very image of decadence. However, Caranthir was also known for his hot headed nature and blunt words, this restricted his friendship circle and was seen as untouchable.

Baby elf inspiration! What if infant elves are born with their ears "curl/twist inwards" and they unfurl and become more pointed as the ear cartilage grows stronger. Their ears completely unfurl by the time they are 5-10 years old. I'm also considering adding in a "droopy ear phase" as well!
My inspiration was morning glory flowers!:

Some more Fèanorian cult ideas!
. Erestor is aware the cult members are trying to contact him and are nearing the borders of Imladris, pieces of parchment left everywhere with the eight pointed star drawn in animal blood. (These elves are extremely unstable)
. It's my personal headcanon that the cult use a red eight pointed star, but Erestor wears a blue eight pointed star brooch. The blue represents that he is a member of the House of Fèanor but was not an extremist like the cult or took the oath of Fèanor for the silmarils.
. Erestor originally doesn't inform Elrond of the cults motives, but Elrond finds out for himself when both he and Erestor find a letter in the library addressed to "The noble blooded one", again, the eight pointed star is the seal of the letter.
. Erestor wanted to handle the situation himself so he could prove to Elrond that he wasn't the evil Fèanorian that so many gossip about him being.
. The letters and stars seem to dwindle until an elfling is kidnapped and the cult takes responsibility and make demands of Erestor.
. A lot of elves in Imladris proclaim to Elrond that Erestor should be thrown out for lying about the the presence of the cult and his Fèanorian ties. Elrond denies them and says that Imladris was a safe haven for all! Including those of Fèanor's blood.
. Erestor leaves Imladris to search for the cult and save the elfling, he tracks them to an abandoned elf stronghold and confronts them. He agrees to their terms and the small elfling is released, but not before Erestor gives him his blue eight pointed star brooch and to bring it to Glorfindel (yas I ship Glorfindel and Erestor😊), as Erestor doesn't believe he'll love to see Glorfindel again.
. . .
That's all for now! Let me know if you want to hear more of this AU!

Alright! I'm pulling from my crazy hat now! I've seen a lot of content where Lindir is Maglor.
So. Here's my thoughts.
Lindir was originally a young silvan elf that was orphaned and was taken captive by orcs. Lindir was shy, demure, and was sheltered until his parents death, but he did have a love for music and nature.
While being transported by orcs, Lindir is saved by Elrond along with a group of elves from Rivendell. Elrond being Elrond takes in Lindir and lives in Rivendell.
Elrond finds Lindir to be a delight, though strangely familiar and to be shrouded in gloom and tragedy. Through the way of dreams and memories, Lindir is found to be the reembodiment of Maglor, Elrond's foster father. Elrond and Lindir share brief moments of their past but eventually come to the sense that Lindir is Lindir and though Maglor is apart of him, Lindir is who he is.
Elrond goes on to raise Lindir as Maglor had raised Elrond and his brother.
Also known as 'Elrond adopts anything in sight and no one tells him no'

HERE ME OUT! A Fèanorian cult in middle earth, they practically worship the silmarils and think that Fèanor and his line were the rightful high king/heirs of the high king, even though Maedhros gave his right to kingship.
This connects to another OOC headcanon of mkne, that Erestor (advisor of Elrond) is of Fèanorian blood (Son of Caranthir). This cult wants Erestor and claim him king but Erestor denounces them and is perfectly fine with being an advisor for Elrond.
