I don't think George Washington would have shaved his balls. Blades back then could be very well-sharpened, yes, but it's very hard to keep a blade so sharp when you're off in the middle of a military campaign. And the worst part of ballsack-shaving is probably not accidental scrapes, but a few days after the balls are shaved, in which the coarse ballsack hairs start to grow out. When this happens, the overall sensation is likely prickly, sharp, and uncomfortable, even more so than unshaved balls. And not to mention, George Washington's campaigs were often in colder places, which means he would need all the ballsack hair he could get.

if i may add my own laertes— performance wise, i think andrew scott laertes has GOT to be one of my favorites. he’s just so. soft and sweet with ophelia but he can also be so angry and scary…you can literally SMELL the toxic masculinity rolling off him. his design is a little plain but i think it encapsulates him pretty well; disheveled, barely put together, especially toward ophelia’s death and the end of the play. AND he pulls a gun on claudius! what a guy

i love @lukewarmgrays’s idea of a FTM Laertes! He kind of draws him as a tall, slimmer guy with a scowl. It gives him this boyish, protective feel :3 OOH and @klqrambles has been doing a series on Hamlet characters, and their Laertes is by far one of my favorites!
I also love Sato Kaho as Laertes! She’s really put-together and handsome, but you can tell she’s extremely overwhelmed. By far one of my favorite femme Laerteses!
And finally, there’s my Laertes! He’s Afro-Cuban and I generally use him for my SBV universe hehe. But he’s just a dude who’s getting through life and wants to make everyone proud! My version of Laertes is a people pleaser, which is one of his great weaknesses.
