Something about Lance frequently touching his neck, chest, stomach, wrapping his arms around himself as a self-soothing technique and how Fernando is always the first person to reach for his neck, hugging him and always placing a hand on the back of his neck…something about Fernando noticing the frequent self-soothing and offering comfort in his own way. Yeah.

Look, I know I made a fancy poll to determine the name for my new Strollonso fic/AU, but I’m over-ruling the results 😙
I am officially writing what I will call…
The Legacy AU
Main premise:
Fernando wins his third championship in 2026 thanks to Aston Martin being in top of the new regulations. He announces his retirement from racing while also revealing his promotion to Team Principal. It now becomes his sole mission to keep Aston Martin on top, unsurprisingly through making Lance world champion and finally achieving the Stroll family dream.
On the surface, this seems all well and normal, but there is more than meets the eye. As teammates, Lance and Fernando had been teetering on the edge of something more. Lingering glances, touches and a specific night they never talk about, only barely remaining professional with each other because of the risk it would cause. Now, with Fernando being his “boss” Lance should do the smart thing and back-off.
But of course he doesn’t. He only goes further, daring Fernando to crumble to his advances. Fernando soon has enough and gives Lance his damning statement—
“You want me to fuck you so bad? Win the championship first.”

Possible side plots:
Aston Martin second driver battle between Felipe Drugovich and Jessica Hawkins. Drugovich under preforms and is under pressure. Jessica would surely become the best female F1 driver ever - lots to explore with that
(Stealing my own premise from a back burner Lestappen fic) what if Max goes to Ferrari because of Red Bull being banned? I could eventually expand the narrative and make it its own fic in the Legacy AU
Lots of grid shenanigans

Ok ideas for my potential TeamPrincipal!Fernando fic trying to establish Aston Martin as a championship winning team. With Lance as his top driver 🤭
Sexual tension up the wazoo! As teammates they barely resist each other but the risk is too high
Now w/ Nando being TP, it becomes even more risky as Lance is now his “employee”
Does that stop Lance??? NOOOOO
He keeps batting his eyes at him, asking Fernando for personal “training” and Nando has a hard time keeping professionalism
Eventually, Lance is essentially begging him to fuck and Fernando says something to the effect of “You want me to fuck you so bad? Win the championship first.”
Initially Fernando says more as provocation, believing that Aston doesn’t yet have the right car to win and that Lance will get over him by the time they do
Cue Lance suddenly working twice as hard to win, all while trying to break Fernando’s resolve
Still, Nando remains strong (barely) and doesn’t fuck Lance. He still praises Lance after every race and they get up to non-professional things but ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING
A lot of extra context, really getting into how the team operates, Drugovich as Lance’s teammate and getting suspicious 🤨 the car going through development (aka I don’t want the fic to be just about them, I want to expand the narrative a little)
Finally, Lance wins his championship and he gets to absolutely wreck the boy
(Maybe a little extra but not sure how it would fit in context, Nando actually wins his 3rd before Lance so now they get to see their names written next to each other on the WDC trophy forever—— this could also be its own one-shot tbh)
I want to get back to writing a longer fic so this idea might be the one! What do we think?? Yes? No? Needs more ideas? (I am open to suggestions 👀)

I’ve finally decided to actually rework one of my long Lestappen fics. The Ferrari!Max one 🤭 (SCARLET-dont look for it, I already deleted)
I started writing it before the Lewis to Ferrari announcement so it got completely off and had no motivation to keep it going
But I’m still so in love with the concept that I’m rewriting it with more accurate info. Obviously I’ll still making a lot up concerning the drivers on the grid but the Lewis thing would be impossible to ignore 😆
Quick synopsis~~~
Red Bull gets banned for 2 years (2025-2026) for breaching regulations. Max surprises everyone by sitting out the 2025 season despite winning 4 times in a row. Meanwhile, Ferrari has stepped up and Charles wins his first world championship. Lewis on the other hand had a difficult season and cost them the constructors championship, causing him to retire. The second Ferrari seat is suddenly open and thing are bound to be shaken up once Charles finds out who his next teammate is.
Yet still, no would have thought Max Verstappen would join Ferrari.

Seeing the Oscars are happening today reminded me of a Landoscar fic idea I had a few weeks ago.
It stemmed from the whole “I would say you deserve an Oscar but you already have one” thing that went around on twitter
Premise is: Lando is attending his first Academy Awards hoping to get the Oscar for best actor. He played a McLaren driver in a dramatized racing movie (like Rush) and met Oscar on set as his PA. Lando is full of nerves during filming, the project being his largest one yet, but thankfully Oscar is there every step of the way. His calm demeanor helps Lando follow through the production. They end up catching feelings~~
Now Lando nervously waits for his category to be announced, but in the back of his mind he knows that no matter the outcome, he’ll get to go back to his Oscar.
Should I write this out???
