Day 1.  George via Mossel Bay to Oudtshoorn. 110km and 1292m of climbing. The scenery is amazing, absolutely beautiful. I have never experienced South Africa like this. Being on a bike and having no distractions is the best way to see the world.

It has been an amazing day for these amazing fellows. To day was a rest day of cleaning bikes, visiting with the elephants and a good #carnivore meal. With everything ready and being well rested the Gents will heading off on the first leg of 750km #cyclingchallenge across Zimbabwe. Hopefully I can keep the updates going for you. It’s been a long time since I have done an hour on the #concept2skierg but absolutely loved the session. Pulling my strongest and feeling my most comfortable. I have found it amazing how as long as you keep training the body never forgets. In the last few months I haven’t spent more than 20min on the #skierg once or twice a week, if I have been lucky. But have spent a lot of time focusing on other training. Today was my fastest and strongest hour on the machine. #crosstraining does work. . I have been patiently waiting for another challenge and finally I have one. I so excited to let you know that Mr B & I have invited to take part in the 2021 Bridge to Bezi (Beitbridge to the Zambezi) bike ride from the 8th August - 12 August. 750km over 5 days. We are raising funds for The Michael Project work with vulnerable children here in Zimbabwe. This year the ride is to raise funds the Chikurubi Daycare Centre. This is time for honesty... I didn’t reach my goal for a 48hour Fast but I did make 45h15min. It was my Anniversary, with Mr B, we had a lunch date so couldn’t really break that. So broke my fast with an amazing T-Bone and some Buffalo wings!! Yummy 🤤 Each time I complete a longer fast I find it more freeing and exhilarating. I am not ready for anything long so will settle on 48h once a week for a while and see how it goes. I feel like I have a lot more time in my day. It is not has as it seems. Am still okay with the 45h. Will restart again this coming Sunday afternoon / evening for another 48h. In meantime I will continue with a daily fast 20h fasting and 4 hour window.
