does anyone know the name of a fic that centred around a klance break up? it was part of a series and im pretty sure it was ultimately ending in shklance, and there was lotor/lance too but it was an unhealthy relationship
the only other main detail i remember was that the title had asterisks (*) that spelt 'break up' (so like this: ********)
im sorry it's so vague but ive tried searching with tags and i can't find it so im hoping someone who sees this has an idea 🙏🙏🙏

I highly recommend you watch fma! Even if it's just to understand why the characters Riza and Roy suit Lance and Keith PERFECTLY.

Riza Hawkeye is a legendary sniper who used to be a normal citizen but she believed she could help ppl by joining the Civil War efforts (this war was actually a genocide orchestrated by a homunculus who has lived for hundreds of years 😬).
Roy Mustang was a bright eyed alchemist who also wanted to help ppl and found out Rizas Alchemist father created his own alchemy called Flame Alchemy. Her father died w/o telling Roy his secrets because he believed it to be cursed, but not before he tattooed the method on Rizas back (he wanted to leave his mark on the world in a way that he thought mattered 🙄 jerk).
Riza entrusts her back to Roy and he becomes the legendary Flame Alchemist and goes on to murder thousands of helpless ppl in the War.
They meet on the battlefield full of regrets. From that moment on they promise to prevent this tragedy from ever happening again. Riza has Roy burn her back so the secrets to the cursed flame alchemy will die with Roy, and Roy keeps her by his side as his lieutenant to "shoot me in the back if I ever go astray."
Fast forward to the final battle against the homunculus! This is where I drew the scene from!
Alot happens, but the most important thing I wanted to say was that in this scene is Roy has lost full vision in his eyes so he asks Riza to be his eyes instead. Even tho she just lost half of the blood in her body due to her throat being slit open 😬 she refuses to leave his side. "I'll follow you into hell."
They, of course, end up giving the homunculus hell! It's so freaking COOOOOOL. 🤧

Imagine that Lance bites himself.
Like, whenever he's tired, stressed, anxious or just out of it, he bites himself, his fingers or his hands, just to have something that will numb whatever is going on inside his head. But, this are not gentle bites, he bites hard, way to hard, to the point that he has marks for days.
At first it started when he was at Garrison, the only way to keep himself awake during lessons, he tried with pens and pencils, but he kept breaking them, so he started biting his finger. Then, whenever he was worried or stressed he would do it to distract himself and also to not let his mouth run wild, some kind of filter between his brain and mouth.
After that it sort of became a habit, he didn't realize he was doing it, but the bruises in his hands were proofs enough that he still had that habit.
Sooo, when Keith realized that Lance did that, he started doing things to keep him from biting and hurting himself even more. At first it was small things, like handing him something without Lance realizing, asking him questions so he had no other option but to take his hand off his mouth, etc.
Then he would throw stuff at his face, soft stuff mainly, making him laugh and hold whatever Keith had thrown at his face, most of the time. Other times he would throw it back with what was trying to be an annoyed face that turned into a smile when he thought Keith wasn't looking at him anymore.
But as they got even closer, Lance would barely do it anymore, because he knew that Keith would stop him, and strangely, those little efforts helped him keep his hands occupied with something else, rather that stuck between his teeth. He would still bite himself sometimes though, but Keith would just grab Lance's hand and hold it between his.
The first time he did that was a shock, for both of them, Keith didn't even realize he did it, and Lance just froze there, not even paying attention to whatever the meeting was about.
Yeah just Lance experiencing anxiety and Keith slowly helping him get rid of some harmful habits.

Aghhh I'm late, so I have a quick thought.
There's some people who believe strongly in brown-eyed Lance, and others who prefer the blue-eyed version.
However, I believe that he has heterochromia. One deep brown eye, and one blue eye with hazel patches. I love seeing art for this.
Someday, I will draw it.

You asked for the possible routes of my
Love Letter 💌 Poll Game Comic
....And HERE IS THE FLOWCHART ITSELF!! (click for the image, it is too big for tumblr)
I made the flowchart to set the whole story so you could play and I just had to follow a specific path (and worry about characterization instead of where the story was going to end)
Trying to organize everything is a bit difficult since there are so many ways the story would have gone thanks to the poll system. So I will try to summarize the biggest changes:
There were two options from the very beginning that were going to set the tone of the whole story and if Lance believed the card was real or if he wouldn't entertain the idea of it.
One of the big differences is that if Lance believed it was real he was gonna ask someone about it...and get rejected anyway
there was this whole idea of Lance going on about his day and to flight simulator practice (and obviously meeting Keith there)
so I could get to this part and to a more...classroom location
If they got into a fight, they would end up in some kind of detention and the WHOLE story would have a sunset setting in the classroom they have to clean (or something, idk what ppl do in detention).
And they would have ended up talking, pretty much like how it happened in the comic. but without any lucky meeting on the rooftop.
The other unused location was Lance's Room. In any of the two cases Lance was getting to his room (Directly after the arcade or after storming out of his fight with Keith) He would have encountered Keith waiting for him in front of his door.
In this case, it would have been obvious that Keith was waiting for him :3
Also, their final talk would have been just there in the hallway, probably ending up in Lance's room
The biggest change in the resolution would have been this part:
Where it explains where the Valentine's card came from. If you all chose that the Valentine's card was more important Keith would have gone and explained that it was his dumb idea. BUT the ending would have been open (and no kiss under the stars)

EXTRA:
If I had some time in the comic, I would have expanded on the worldbuilding.
It's nothing fancy, but just some of those that mix Space Exploration with some University setting. They are... ON SPACE!!! on something like an Earth-run Space Explorers program. And since Allura was going to be there there are ALIENS TOO (mostly because i enjoy AUs that are just chill)
think... a mix of Candidate for Goddess with dumbass shenanigans
