Summary: A oncoming lockdown is going to leave Zak with a scar for life

Becoming the first female member of the ghost adventures crew was something you thought where you would ever be.

But here you are, and you absolutely loved it. They had become family to you, especially now that you and Zak were in a relationship. You and the crew were headed to your next lockdown location and you were so excited about it. Once you arrived, which you are now at the asylum 49 in Tooele, Utah, interviews were being conducted while you explore at the same time, those were the steps prior to the following evening in which would be when the lockdown would be taking place. However, you wouldn’t be attending the lockdown this time, and neither would Zak.

Why you may ask?

During the interviews and checking the place out, something didn’t feel right to you and you didn’t like the feeling it gave you. It turns out your hutches were right when you noticed Zak’s mood swings going from recognizable to unrecognizable very quickly. As he would be your friend the one minute, he would be someone who was very angry without having any reason to be the next minute. You knew without a doubt that something had been attached to him ever since you walked out of the most evil part of the asylum and you’d be lying if you say this didn’t scare you seeing him this way, because it did. Watching him closely had you deciding you needed to speak to him privately to try and get an understanding of what was going on. Just as you had your thoughts on the subject, the crew had picked up on the same feeling and suggested for Zak to get some air, and when he left to do just that, you followed behind him.

You wanted to be a fair distance from the group and Zak so it hopefully would make it easier for him to talk it out with you. Things didn’t go the way you wanted, he was making it hard for you to grab his attention.

“Zak, are you okay?”

Rather than giving you a simple yes or no, he continued walking as if he was trying to avoid you personally.

“ZAK!!!”

You call out again, this time he stops and quickly turns towards to where you were standing. He had a look on his face that had pure rage written all over it and that actually frightened you.

“WHAT?!”

Because his outburst was unexpected, it actually took your breath away for a split second before you could speak.

“Are you okay?”

“Do you have to know?” Zak snaps, letting a scoff escape through his lips.

“Of course, you’re my boyfriend and I care about you and your well-being to the ultimate level of extreme.”

He doesn’t seem to listen, or to even want to listen. What he said next was even more surprising than before and made you a little mad.

“Sure you do.”

When he stalks off again, you you run and take hold of his arm as you linked yours under it and try again. But this time, things got rough by his reaction and the damage it was about to cause.

“Zak, what can I-“

You don’t get to finish your sentence as you were suddenly shoved back from him by his hand and it was enough to have you fall back on the pavement road behind you, Zak leaves you there with really nothing more to say.

“STAY AWAY FROM ME, Y/N!”

Zak was about to get into the car that you and your team had used to travel when he witnessed something that would scar him for life. After what was said and done, you were almost to your feet and didn’t have plans to attempt this again. Once you were just about stand, you felt a hard impact as an uncommitted was unseen from behind you.

Just before you had gone completely unconscious, you hear Zak holler your name as you hear his footsteps approach you, feeling his hand wrapped against your own.
